  • What’s up everybody. In todays video, I will explain why I sold my latest 2016 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special and introduce my new/used 2015 Harley Davidson Road King. I will be doing a quick overview of the Road King, why I like it more than the Street Glide, and take you on a quick road trip to the Quecreek Mine Memorial where the 9 miners were trapped underground for 4 days until rescued in July 2002, then we will swing by the Flight 93 Memorial in Stoystown PA to show our respects.
    If you like these types of vlogging motorcycle rides, let me know and I can film more at different locations.
    Here is a link to the Reckless Industries fairing options that are available for the Road King.

    Thats an awesome looking bike, love the color. Those bars are nice and in my opinion perfect height, I had the same bars on my 05 RK Classic. I now have a 18 RK Special Industrial Grey color with a stock 107 and love it.

    I ran a fairing & stereo on my Road King for a while, I took it off & just put a 15" Memphis Shades windshield with color matched fade on it, which I like much better...you can also get a luggage rack for a soft tour pack for added storage for big road trips so you got room for some extra gear...& then it's easily removable when you get home...I got one by T-Bags for mine, love that thing...good looking bike! Excellent color too...very nice! 🖖🏿😎👍🏿

    I had a RK, 2 Limiteds I ran as Street Glides (quick disconnect kit tour pak) and I liked the RK better. Of course I sold the big bikes after my wife quit riding and I tour, trip, and love my Sportster 1200 that I will eventually make into a chopper. Big bikes sucked the joy out of riding for me... I started on a Sporty as my first HD. 9 HDs later I'm thrilled to be back on a light, nimble bike.

    Nice. I got my 2015 103 HO with 9300 miles. I'll stick with the Road King windshield never wanted a fairing.

      I'm with you. I traded my road glide for a Road king a couple weeks ago. I think the RK is the most nimble of the touring model. Really like it👍

    RK for me has always been the most comfortable Touring Bike H-D makes. I prefer the Windshield over the fairing myself as it keeps that RK Classic Look and I listen to music in my helmet if I want it. Nice looking Bike Man.

    Not sure if meant floorboard "extensions" or forward "relocation". But I did go with the floorboard "extensions" on my RKC, bringing them out 3/4, putting some comfortable distance from the exhaust and primary. Believe they also sell 1" and 1/2" kits as well. Game changing mod though -believe me, you'll be glad you did. You can do them with the bike on the kick stand too -I highly recommend using a crawler with swivel casters if you don't already have one 🙂

    Love it! The best touring bike Harley makes in my opinion. I need to look into that fairing. I love my music. When I’m wanting to listen to music I wear my full face helmet with Bluetooth. Sounds great. I definitely need to look into that.

    be mindful of driving in the wet, the amp inside the faring will go out, that is the only gripe i have with mine. absolutely beautiful bike and seeing this with the Reckless faring is giving me ideas. ride safe.

    Like the new bike!!! RK is a sweet do it all bike…. But I gotta ask….Sooo one of the reasons you sold your other Harley is so you and the wife can both drive 3/4 ton diesels as commuter cars?????? Not hauling heavy trailers because you need a diesel but taking kids to soccer practice ?? to only then complain about monthly fuel costs 😢😂

    • @DieselLegiance
      @DieselLegiance  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I buy bikes, customize them, sell them, buy new bikes, and repeat. Yes, my wife does not need a diesel but she wanted one because it makes her feel safe on the road. I like a diesel truck too. I sometimes haul a trailer with ATV,UTV, Motorcycles. I also tow a 24’ pontoon. Do I need diesels, no, but I like them. And yes, when diesel was $3.50 a gallon it was great, when it went to almost $6 a gallon, it sucked and I complain. It’s the American dream.

    • @DieselLegiance
      @DieselLegiance  ปีที่แล้ว

      I buy different vehicles, customize them, make them nicer, enjoy them for a little while, then sell them. It gives me content to post on my channel plus I get to experience different vehicles.

    How do you like the fairing? Can you hear music good at Highway speeds ? And is that fairing have a amp? Or just radio power?

    • @DieselLegiance
      @DieselLegiance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They sell fairings with and without the amp. Mine, I believe has an amp. It’s loud and I can hear the music fine even on highway.

    I dont know what i'm doing and i need a little help. i want a real motorcycle, i want cowhide saddle bags (maybe), no bells, no whistles, no wifi, and all the chrome, what kind of Harley am i looking for?

    • @DieselLegiance
      @DieselLegiance  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on what style bike you like. You can add leather/cowhide saddlebags to almost any bike. Touring bikes ride nicer and turn easier and allow for a nicer/comfortable ride. For non touring I always like the Dyna line specifically the wide glide. For touring I really like the road king but the street glide and road glide are nice too. For lower cost, you can get a nice used Dyna or Road King and not break the bank too much. Or, if you really like a chopper style, check out the Honda Fury.

      @@DieselLegianceThanks, I have been looking at Road King ads, i also like the one that the Terminator stole in T-2 i think its a fat boy, my dad thinks i should look at a V Rod. Which ones have the deadly timing chain tensioner?

    • @DieselLegiance
      @DieselLegiance  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      V Rod’s are hard to come by since they stopped making them. The same thing goes for the wide glide. But you can find a nice used one with low miles for a reasonable price.
