- Welcome back! In this video, I am working on bringing this abandoned OMC Mustang 345 skid loader back from the dead! This will be part 1 of a series of videos of fixing this thing up and putting it back to work!
Feel free to drop a comment below with any thoughts/suggestions about the video or the skid loader!

Good job Buddy
Great job! Now you know what needs attention and that you have something to work with. I truck through your area quite often.
I for one would like to see more videos on this project. I have trouble finding time for weekly videos myself.

Pretty nice. I have a approx 1973 OMC Mustang 310 which was their smallest machine at about 35" wide with a 14 hp Kollar engine. That I picked up around 1983. Mine just happened to have a 47" bucket
That’s awesome! That bucket has gotta look massive on that 310!
I had an Owatona skidsteer. I really liked the T-bar steering, let's you steer with one hand. I had lots of problems with the Onan engine, gave up after replacing the engine . Otherwise it was great, just couldn't keep the engine from shaking apart. Once the heads stripped the bolts out. Would still have it if I could have figured out an engine that would hold up.
Yeah that’s kinda how it is with the m-600 series and smaller Bobcats that had Wisconsin engines as well. This is the next size machines up from the ones that had Onan’s. A lot of folks swap them out for V-twin Honda engines. I’ve also seen some that had a bigger Harbor Freight Predator engine swapped in.
That’s the same style lift linkage as on their large modern loaders.
Start out mumbling with poor audio---end of story
Yeah sorry about that, I’m still trying to learn how to talk to a camera and how to edit.
@@koehlersmodsandrepairs4384I was the same way when I started out 3 years ago. I'm still learning to edit and record with an old cellphone. I'm currently working on an old Bobcat 444.
