Idk if Mr. Swims reads these comments, but I wanted to say that this song hits my heart hard. My ex-husband died almost 1 year ago from a disease we spent years and years combatting together. After he passed, I found out about many many women while we were married. We spent 25 years together, he was my best friend even after divorce, and I never knew a thing. I'm 44 years old and I never ever anticipated that the person I trusted the most could hurt me deeper than the ocean. I will never know if he truly loved me. I will never know anything for sure. I dug deep into his life after he passed and kept finding more and more things. I will always love him, even if he didn't love me the same. It's taken me almost a year to be in this place. If I didn't forgive him on any level, I would have died with him. This song is perfect for my situation. Thank you for giving it to us.
I understand where you are. I married young and found my husband was living a double life. So many things I still don't understand, but God said we will all understand bye and bye. My dear, I just want to share my thoughts, though I know it likely will not help. So often we look at the things that hurt the most and give merit to them because the amount of pain is so great. That’s logical, even though the time he spent with you outweighs any other by a landslide. We question the biggest things because the idea of “trading” what we have for the little things seems so illogical. I’m sorry for your loss, and I’m sorry for the pain in your heart. Perhaps it’s true there are things you’ll never know. My opinion is that 25 years and marriage suggests your husband absolutely did love you, despite the sins. So happy that you were able to forgive him, because for you closure will come by your hand through the strength of God. When I’m hurt by someone I always try to remember we are all sinners and we don’t deserve forgiveness but the Lord offers it to us none the less. And if heaven is living eternity with God, then by forgiving him you are as close to God as you could ever be. Doing the best thing for you in both human and spiritual form. God bless you and I pray that your heart be at peace.
I just heard "Lose Control" a few weeks ago. I didn't know who was singing it just made me stop and listen. Yesterday I found it on line and now I am in love with this man's voice and music. I am so incredibly happy that Teddy is in this world. He is a phenomenon!

PLEASE Pray for her to have a peaceful/swift rise to heaven, and for us to honor her, in all ways, as we attempt to move forward. He is a great singer and I like his tone, but you're talking like we've never heard anything like it before. There have been a lot of singers with a rich tone but also brighter characteristics to their voice and some rasp at times. Even since way back with classic rock, and even with less popular bands like Bulletboys. Go listen to "Smooth up in ya" for example. His voice is similar to Teddy at time. Then you can come to modern times with vocalists like Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria. Listen to his solo stuff or listen to something like "Moving On" by Asking Alexandria. I'm not saying these are identical styles of songs. I'm just comparing the similarities in their voices, and those are just 2 examples of many.

This man's voice goes right to my soul. I tried to resist his voice, oddly enough. Because I never have been much of a fan of bluesy sounding voices, but a few yrs back, Chris Stapleton's voice enraptured me. I can't get enough of him. I adore Stapleton. And so then when Teddy came along, he sounded initially rather similar to me, so I thought, oh well I don't need to hear more like that...but the more his songs found their way to my ears, the more I realized Teddy is his own unique sound. This man's voice goes right to my soul. I tried to resist his voice, oddly enough. Because I never have been much of a fan of bluesy sounding voices, but a few yrs back, Chris Stapleton's voice enraptured me. I can't get enough of him. I adore Stapleton. And so then when Teddy came along, he sounded initially rather similar to me, so I thought, oh well I don't need to hear more like that...but the more his songs found their way to my ears, the more I realized Teddy is his own unique sound. And his songs are just incredible lyrically and musically. And he sings with so much heart. I've become enraptured by Teddy now as well. I'm a fan and a subscriber... xoxo
