HOW TO - catch salmon with prawns

In this session I am using dyed red prawns to catch salmon, this method in the wrong hands can be deadly.
Tackle used:
Rod - major craft first cast 10-30gram
Reel - Penn Fierce
Line - 30lb braid to swivel and 12lb clear mono
1 1/2 shrimping pin
Size 10 treble
Prawns from purple whiskers
Catch and release 💯
Enjoy the sport 🎣

You really do know how to catch salmon ! Good to see they are there to get if you know how to get ‘em.
Q: How come you don’t get trout taking the prawn as well ?

@@dmp2000uk not 100% on that one but we have very little brown trout in these rivers and the sea trout unless there’s a lot of water in are basically nocturnal species.
