Just purchased the Taos SE AWD for my wife in Cornflower Blue. Not really my color but my wife loves it and it's growing on me. We're regular-sized people (I'm 6'2") and still fit nicely into this smaller SUV. Plenty of room in the back seat and cargo area too. The economy is good and it is a pleasure to drive. My wife loves the panoramic roof and blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise and lane assist were a must. I paid just over 30 after dealer discounts. We test-drove others, but for us, this was the one to buy. And VW's 1.9% was attractive in this time of higher interest rates.

This popped up in my recommended or I wouldn't have commented. Last week I was shopping for a compact SUV. I test drove many and included a Taos SE, even though it was a bit smaller than the rest (sub-compact I guess). I scratched it off my list pretty fast. It was as much as the compacts while riding a bit rougher and having more road noise than them. A Taos SE was as much as a Tucson SEL, had about the same equipment, but was smaller and less substantial feeling. I got a Tucson.

I bought the SE FWD cause I don't like the dual-clutch transmission and it was $26,844 and I thought that was very reasonable and the SE has alot of stuff on it. I am very pleased with it , only 860 miles on it but it's averaging over 30 mpg.

I'm debating between this trim and q3 s line 45. What are your thoughts? Also good to mention, I live in Minnesota so remote start would be really nice.

Get the Tiguan R line heated everything and remote start the Taos was nice but more for your money in Tiguan R line than those 2

For 35k you could have a fully loaded gli or a decent spec gti

What I heard is that people like it, but I heard in motor media that it isnt that reliable. Dont know what to believe.

I love the Taos almost bought one but instead for $1500 more was able to get a Tiguan R line back in 2022 I think the Taos price on the SEL is too high.Back then the Taos was $36k Sel and R line was $38k and the dealer took over $1000 off the R line so it was a no brainer.
