I have a theory on their default positioning and it has to do with this. When there are 2 part harmonies it is either Solar and Wheein or Wheein and Hwasa. It's like a baton hand off with their voices. Solar and Wheein hand off at the higher register going into a belt while Wheein and Hwasa hand off on the breathy tones. In the middle, each have their own lanes.

When you realize that Solar is the pillar of the harmony in MMM... the way she switch from high to very high notes then suddenly lowers it down is amazing that's why Wheein and Hwasa gets there harmony right on point was also because Solar is leading them. Simply amazing ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻

I miss you, backwoods, Sting, Love story of a girl may have overflowing vocals, but this one right here, the girls continuosly harmonising, Moonbyul's anguish filled rap, the emotions they convey through this ballad, I really can't stress just how much of a masterpiece this is
