In this video, I discuss the 4 main ways in which I use my iPad Pro in my daily work as a junior doctor. I talk about (1) how I use Goodnotes and the Dash Plus Productivity System to manage my to-do lists, (2) the magic of electronic medical records, (3) the power of being able to look stuff up on the fly, and (4) the beauty of productive downtime. Enjoy xx
PS: Eagle-eyed viewers might realise that this is a re-upload. The original video I posted in early 2019 missed the mark in terms of taking issues like data protection seriously. I hope this new version addresses some of those issues while also showing what a benefit technology like the iPad provides in clinical settings.

You get a real life usage and tips not "Oh you have 7,5sec improvement in the render time - you have to buy this stuff You will get ton more stuff done with it!" or "This is garbage because in geekbench it scored Y less than Z product".

Thank you for your brilliant videos. I am a nurse practitioner working in a busy neurosurgery practice and I’m working on improving our on-boarding system and I loved your bit on Keep Productive talking about Notion. I am thrilled because I feel like Notion would be incredible for this, as well as just taking over my current Evernote notebook for “neuro-everything” as a repository for random research and info that I come across. But when I open up Notion, I feel completely lost, like I need to go back to get a graduate degree in databases first. Would you consider doing a video on how you set up your Notion? More of a how-to rather than a show and tell? In particular, I like the outline of topics with embedded questions and then a hidden area where you answer the questions in order to incorporate active recall. I would love to see a brief video about setting that up. Over all, I have adored your channel and look forward to following along with you. Thank you!

Hey Ali, I’m an Architectural Designer in the process of getting his Architect’s License. I started Using the IPad for almost everything school related 9 years ago. When I graduated I carried the workflow into my Architecture Job. Altho my workflow evolved a bit since, when I started studying for my Architecture Registration Exams I started to go back to the methods I used in school. It wasn’t until a couple months ago that I discovered your channel, and I want to thank you for your vast library of app reviews, tips and workflow examples.
Currently I’m at the point that I have an Ipad used exclusively for work which shares an iCloud account with my work computer, and a personal Ipad that shares a separate iCloud with my personal computer.
My current Study workflow is been working pretty well but I’m missing one key feature.
    1. Notion as a hub to keep all my important links to online study materials, spreadsheet of amount of hours studied / Content, study meetup calendar, etc...
    2. Good Notes to keep all my books, documents and anything that I need to read or highlight.
    3. Notability to take notes (handwritten or typed) - I use separate apps for reading and note taking to be able to use them simultaneously.
    4. Quizlet for Flashcards. As of now I take screenshots of the books in Good Notes and use quizlet’s camera feature to make typed tex out of the scanned books.
I’ve seen your video regarding copy pasting from books to flash cards, but I scan most of my books; My question is: Do you have any advice or video you can direct me to regarding Scanner apps that will scan a whole page and convert it into text, so that I can quickly copy paste from said page into quizlet instead of having to bring up the screenshot up for each new flash card?
Tl;dr: method of turning scanned book pages into text format - To something like Pages or Ms Word - To copy and paste into Flash Cards.
    -Cheers!

I wouldn't think this would be a problem. If you'll notice, virtually any physician isn't very far from a clip board or a digital tablet. Besides which, as he spoke of logging into a computer and waiting for it to load up, this really is problematic. The tablet is instantly available, and syncing it with the hospital or system computer should be very easy at the end of the day.

I’m not a doctor but I want to be a nurse, starting with LVN, and moving up. I don’t think we’re allowed to use our own devices for anything. However I like the idea of using it to study and keep up with things I need to be knowledgeable about. I currently have the 10.5 iPad pro with the first gen. pen. I’ve been using it to study, keep track of finances and eventually to video call my kids when I’m traveling. I can’t wait to upgrade to the new pen/model but I’m not sure which version will be most beneficial. I think probably for split screen which I use a lot the 12” version is better. I love your videos! I bought Notability because of you and it’s a game changer for organization on the iPad :)

Hey Ali, love the videos! Just got my Ipad Air and apple pencil this week. Apple needs to sponsor you. Also I sent you an email about scoping the subject. I'm an anthropology major and I'm not quite sure how to transfer it over.

Hey Ali, I’m a high school student who plans to study psychology later on. I go to a specialist high school almost 2 hours from my house, meaning i have to commute a LOT. With this in mind, which iPad would you recommend? I am thinking of getting the iPad mini, solely for the purpose of being able to study on my way to and from school, but would this small form factor be a hindrance in the classroom? Thanks for your time, also your channel is amazing!

Hi Ali... Am planning to buy the 11 inch iPad pro... How is the typing experience on the 11 inch?... Should i get 12.9 inch for better typing experience or 11 inch will suffice?

Hey Ali while watching this video I saw you had a app downloaded called Notion so of course I had to check it out and wow it seems like a game changer. Can you please do a video to show how you use this app in your organizational flow.

Hey Ali, I haven't been able to find a good video that shows the difference between iOS Anki and Android Anki.
I'm a huge fan of Anki and I'm considering getting an iPad, but if it's as bad as the Android Anki then I probably won't get it.

Is it also good with iPad Mini? I like it’s size and I like to become a doctor.
