ACE9647 I recall a Show he played right before Lifted came out and there was a girl who yelled, "Please, I beg you, please, play 'Pull My Hair,'" and in response Conor said, "Ah, that's a song that's not sung because Neely isn't here....She's wherever awesome people go when they leave." Obviously, and I think it's safe for me to say that I was not alone in the assumption, I took Conor to be implying that she had passed away. I don't exactly recall when I found out that she was alive, but I've long thought Conor Oberst was an important Artist and therefore listen to him frequently and therefore it's more likely than not that it wasn't too long before I happened upon her name in liner notes.
Is someone really questioning that Conor is a drug addict? Have you ever listened to any of his songs? Have you ever seen him live? Have you ever read an interview with him? I don't know if he's still sober now, but he will forever be a drug addict.
this song's lyrics are just incredible, "he stuck a needle in his arm to calm his handsome hell" i could go on and on
I would appreciate this Show in its entirety so much I think I'd explode if it were Posted.

I Had a friend who changed his name but couldn't change himself
he could be refering to a lot of people
I really like this song, but this version is kind of weird.
The keyboard sound is too low
don't be sorry...he does say twist; just not right there! :]
and we'd get drunk and kiss our bodies twist like shoelaces.
he probably forgot the words, musicians tend to do that
it' s actually we get drunk and kiss...silly
she grew, became a woman now.
The live version is kind of weird.
