Normally when you use steam irons for a long period of time, they develop a problem where the pores get choked with calcium, it is very difficult to remove this calcium from the holes.
Philips Steam Irons come with a Calc Clean funtion which helps remove the calcium from the pores. Here is how to use the calc clean function on the steam iron for de-scaling...

Karen Omrany The steam irons drip water when the holes in the soleplate are blocked and steam can't come out properly. You need to de-scale your iron. Follow the procedure as explained in the video and it should be fine. If the problems still persists, pls take it to the service center.
The instructions say you need to shake it until all the water pours out.. so depending on how had your water is, you really need to do this to make sure all the deposits get dislodged and get out of the iron.

Hi this video is great. I have the exact same Iron and I thought the problem was the calc, so I'm trying to carry out this process. But now the water in my iron doesn't heat up at all.... Do you what the problem could be?
Iron not heating up can only be an issue of Defective Heating Element, pls get it checked at a service center.

After the calc clean process...
1. Plug in the iron. Let the iron heat up to let the soleplate dry
2. Unplug the iron when the temperature light goes out
3. Move the iron gently over a piece of cloth to remove any water strains on the soleplate
4. Let the iron cool down before you store it

The knob does not remain on de calc & turbo steam. Do we have to press the knobs continuously???Can you guide please

My only problem with this is that it can't remove all the water, as the manual says it should :/

I have same type Philips. The calcium build up not yet clog but sometime if i press steam it comes out from the hole. Can i clean it, with mixed water and vinegar inside the tube?
Don't put vinegar inside the iron. Use this same trick instead

it completely depends on the temperature setting you have on the iron...

U can but you don't need to. Philips recommends to use the De-scaling feature once every 2-3 months basis the water quality in your area. you don't need to do it every time you use the iron
