      Correct. Steam only releases when you press the button on the handle. Some material dont require steam so I like the fact that I can control when steam is released. Make sure you use distilled water too.

      Yes I still like the steam press. I use it all the time, almost daily. I can't recommend another brand because this is the only one that I have owned. Rotary irons are usually bulky and cost thousands of dollars compared to a steam press which is a few hundred dollars.

    Thanks for this review. Given the length of the board is 25" long , atleast 5" less than an average adult L shirt or Tee, this may take between 6-8 presses to complete a shirt. It is not clear whether business wear - pants with creases can be pressed. Any additional inputs will be helpful.

    • @chaircoverschicago
      @chaircoverschicago  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Business wear pants can be creased. An adult large shirt can be done in 4 presses. It does require some practice to get good at using it.

    I've been doing some research and there aren't too many video reviews on steam presses out there... How durable would you say this one is? Do you know if the machines that laundromats use are similar?

    • @chaircoverschicago
      @chaircoverschicago  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It been durable for me. I use it almost daily for my event rental business and nothing has gone wrong or broken on it. Laundromats use larger, more industrial, steamers I believe.

      I use it for shirts and pants all the time and it works great for them too. No need to use a handheld iron.

    How do you take the water out when you're finished if Not planning on ironing anymore clothes

    • @chaircoverschicago
      @chaircoverschicago  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I never do, I just leave the water in the plastic reservoir. It doesn't hold a lot of water and it has never spilled out. Hope this answers your question Foster Brown.
