I say try it at least once! To me, it's a great experience whether you want fun and parties or to relax and maybe do yoga, meditation, and the spa. I just love the adult-only experience. It's laid back to me.
Good chat. I think your point about an all adult vs mass market also applies on Utopia where for us, it really fell short of a total party vibe. Hard to achieve that with kids around
It was great meeting you on the Valiant Lady! I loved the solo cabin, lounge and activities on the NCL Viva in April. I'm still in touch with one from our group. I liked the standing nightly dinner reservation for the group. I haven't stayed in a solo cabin on VV yet but also enjoyed their solo activities on my last 3 sailings.
It was so great meeting you too after seeing each other online and on chats! Yes, I want to try again on NCL with a ship like Prima, Viva, or Aqua. It's so great making connections that go beyond the ship. I've met people like that as well. You had a standing nightly group dinner on NCL? That's good to hear if they do it daily on other ships. Breakaway was just the final night. But yes, both lines have great solo cruiser programs.
I’m trying Virgin Voyage next and intrigued to go as a solo. I’m taking a little break from Carnival (love them dearly but it’s time to try a different ship and experience) I went 3 times this year my solo and with friends and family so I’m trying Virgin most definitely!!
Yes, do it! I sailed Carnival 26 times before really exploring other lines. This year, I have yet to sail Carnival and have no regrets. It's been the best experience. I still love Carnival and will be back. But I found other experiences that I love too!
Yay! I really enjoyed Virgin Voyages and absolutely loved their solo cruiser program. I think it's a good idea to experience as many different cruise lines for yourself over time. Many have different experiences which means there are cruise lines out there for everybody!
It felt VERY personable! And the host took her time. She stayed until everyone's questions were answered and repeated what she said each time someone came later. Thank you so much for the feedback!
Awesome! I think it would be great to do a comparison! I would love to hear because it think it might be challenging to go from Virgin to NCL...at least the type of ship that I was on. Definitely try one of their newer ships. That's what I'm looking to do...lol.
So glad to hear that you enjoyed your solo cruise experience. I also loved NCL's solo cruiser program, my solo oceanview cabin and enjoyed going to the lounge for coffee!
Wow, I am happy to hear they have an extended solo program. When I traveled in April 2024 we only had the first day gathering. I am looking forward to experience the new program in April 2025. Thanks for the info.
Yay! And yes, I was excited to hear because that was my understanding of their program as well. Just a meetup and dinner the first night. I was excited to be a part of this extended program and hope that it has truly expanded to all fleets as stated. I look forward to verifying!
Loved this video! I had the pleasure of meeting you as a fellow solo cruiser on NCL, and I agree with everything you shared. It was wonderful connecting with the other solo cruisers, and I thoroughly enjoyed my solo balcony room. 🙂 I’ve cruised solo twice on Virgin and have enjoyed the meet up and dinner on the first night. I’m excited to know that they’ve expanded their solo cruiser program. I’m going again in a few months, so I’ll check out the new program and will report back. Lol!
We had a great cruise and a great group of solo cruisers! It was great meeting you and I can't wait for us to meet up at DisneyWorld one day...lol. Oh yes, please do share your feedback on the solo cruiser program on your next Virgin sailing! I'm curious to find out if it really is that way on all ships.
I always get regular cabins when sailing solo which I enjoy having a balcony to myself. My first time actually having a solo cabin will be on Virgin on the Brilliant Lady in 2026. She will be sailing out of California in the month of April.
I usually do too. And I'll continue to do that unless it's something that I want to share on the channel. I don't find the solo cabins to be of great value and I like the space of a regular cabin. Congrats on the Brilliant booking. I hope to sail her too!
Yes, take your time and try everything! Each cruise line has their own experience. I'm enjoying the different experiences. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
Yes, Corey! I knew they had at least the first day solo meet up and that's all that I was expecting. But now they've expanded that. I really enjoyed the experience!
I’ve never sailed Virgin, but you’ve just sold me on giving it a whirl.

I just booked Virgin Voyages solo to Alaska. My first ever cruise.
WOW! That is awesome! First cruise being ALASKA and on Virgin?! You're going to be spoiled! LOL!
Good chat. I think your point about an all adult vs mass market also applies on Utopia where for us, it really fell short of a total party vibe. Hard to achieve that with kids around
Yeah, I can see that. Utopia never appealed to me. And hearing the feedback from so many cruisers, yeah, I think I will pass on it.

Oh my. I really enjoyed this video. I am in the planning stages for a solo cruise. And I think you sold me in VV. Thank you!

this was good solid information! i like that virgin gets you active as a solo cruiser, seems personable.
It felt VERY personable! And the host took her time. She stayed until everyone's questions were answered and repeated what she said each time someone came later. Thank you so much for the feedback!
Thanks for sharing. I am ready for another VV sailing. I will check out the solo program.
Oh, yes...I can see you having a great time hanging and meeting people through Virgin's solo program! You will definitely have a great time!
I was a solo traveler on that Virgin cruise also. I’ve only ever been on Virgin, so I’m going on NCL next year to have something to compare it to.

Good video. Only did NCL. Loved my solo balcony and lounge

@@SIGCruiser I watched a video of the solo cabins from the other Virgin ships. They are so tiny. I probably should have gotten a regular cabin.
Yes, they are small. It might bother you if you spend a lot of time in your cabin. I does feel compact to me but some people like them.
Thanks for all the info. Haven't tried these ships yet but looking forward to it 😁
Yes, take your time and try everything! Each cruise line has their own experience. I'm enjoying the different experiences. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
Thanks for the informative video. I solo cruised on NCL's Breakaway and enjoyed it.I didn't know Virgin has a solo program!
Yes, Corey! I knew they had at least the first day solo meet up and that's all that I was expecting. But now they've expanded that. I really enjoyed the experience!
Hi Sig. Don’t know if I’ll ever sail solo but I’ll certainly be fully informed. Thanks so much.
You never know! You might want to do a solo weekend relaxation cruise one day. 😊
As far as solo lounge, on Virgin the entire ship is a solo meetup lounge so that space wouldn't be missed to me either
Agreed 100%!
I am platinum Ncl
Looked at vergin never hear of vergin ports
I sail for ports
Everybody has their preferences, and there's nothing wrong with that!
❤❤❤
❤❤❤
Virgin sounds better...but I'm a little bias.
You don't say...😂😂😂
love Virgin Cruises thanks for sharing friend
Me too! Thank you for watching and commenting!
