#73 : A Cold and Frosty November at Dever Springs

This was one of those days when swapping flies, lines and methods really made the difference. The water was "gin clear" , but not lots of fish showing in the margins. I had a great crew of mates & anglers turn up , and we ended up with plenty of fish. On this trip I was using my new go pro camera and I feel the quality and shots are much better, please let me know what you think.

The GoPro quality is great. The rewind function meaning you can get the hook up on film really works well. Thank for getting me on film with that lovely brown. 🎣👍🏻👍🏻

Enjoyed that one Martyn, the go-pro done a great job👍 some cracking fish caught , well done all. I was at Rockbourne in that frost , great to get back out , looking forward to a lot more trips.

Fished here once about 20 years ago ish on a 3 day tour. Pitsford on day one then stayed B&B near to Dever where I caught my limit very quickly and took a video (so it must have been at least 25 years ago) of a chap landing quite a big fish who I found out unfortunately had a heart attack later and died. Then on to Avington for my last day which was a pain as there are 2 Avingtons so I drove miles and miles towards avington following my AA road atlas on the way to hungerford only to find it wasnt the one I wanted so all the way back down the A34 further than I had come from. A great 3 days and I saw some enormous fish but only caught regular size ones myself

The chest cam is 100% better. Great to be able to see your hands and the retrieve. Makes all the difference. 👍

Always enjoy your footage. Chest mount a great improvement re stability….why don’t you add an aftermarket battery cover with charging slot and a power bank in your pocket rather than having to constantly change batteries…?

They are the original Hardy DD reels, they have a new version now.

At least the place is not covered with weeds, and you can make a cast, It costs a lot of money to clean out someone else's pond from May on.
