You would be better off buying another truck. I know they are some good ones but I hate working on a dirtymax. They got brackets that do nothing except hold other brackets. Plastic tips on fuel lines. You have to give the things a hand job after every filter change just so they will run again. Wiring harnesses are a nightmare. The only way dirtymax brings a smile to my face is when it leaves
My 7.tree with Garrett turbo has 800k on original
Matt Vanatti that is impressive. Need to hear about your own truck then.
7.3 all day 450.thousand still alive still working
Love my Duramax!!
me and my buddy both have 6.7 Cummins '07. both stock turbo, both stock airbox, 50hp EFILive tunes on both... his turbo whistle is hella-loud.. we have no idea why. Thoughts?
I am sad 😞 i did not win but the duramax turbo lly is the best my lly sounds pretty good
I think ford they make the most boost outa the newer models
Boost pressure is only a restriction too flow. Boost pressure doesn't mean that much in a stockish application
Duramax baby !!
just order my 64 for LB7, its on the way...thank God for blackfriday.
I need a turbo for a 2014 6.7 powerstroke but dont have the money and I dont trust junk yard turbos. Idk what to do at this point
You never spoke about the pros and cons of replacing the injectors tips compared to the entire injector. Or did I miss it somehow?
That will be in a later video
Cool video gentlemen!! Now: when I mechaniced in ‘08-‘13, I remember, at my last dodge dealership. Tearing out the turbos/ die grinding the vanes, because they get coked up. Aaand had a ‘94 Acura integra, with a b18b1 (non vtec) so added like 13 psi 😎 to make her vtec!! UNTIL ‘13, I cracked a cylinder wall... found oil, in the coolant overflow 😬
But have an ‘04 cummins/ ‘04 sti with 1 now 🤩 and took the silencer ring, outta the Cummins 👌
11:32 💪 Duramax!
Nice win Brandon 🤘
I have a 2004.5 LLY that has quicker throttle response than my 2007 LBZ. Is it because the LLY has more compression and a bigger turbo or is it just the way GM changed the programming by 2007? Both truck are nearly identical, other than the year differences.
Here we go!
So question for yall...been digging around and cant find the answer...why dont u run a blow off valve on the trucks like u do the cars.....i had a 68mm charger on my race car and twin blow offs.
8:20 lack of cooling...
What is proper (safe operating range) CHRA oil discharge temp?
My ASSUMPTION max limmit 240° (oil failure point 250°)
I think it’s tough to beat the LLY/LBZ turbos
On the lly turbo can the turbo vane position sensor make the tapping noise but still be bad sending wrong position to the computer.
Did you put an exhaust system on either truck? Who made to pips . Where did you get it from . I have a all stock 05 Duramax but I’m in so Cal .
Love my lb7 brother
Josh the thing that scares the crap out of me about the turbo in a found on road daily no oiling how negligent are they say a family is on vacation in the mountains going up a steep grade for a good amount of time towing in a dually their 3 axle 16-20 thousand pound toy hauler and the turbo takes a crap and they go shooting down the road in reverse and pass away let that sink in
Duramax with the Garrett
DuraMax is a beast lol
Garrett for life .
let's get more info about l5p turbo I know that they switch to a Borg Warner
I posted a series on my channel with the l5p turbo if you want to check it out
Truck Master,
What tool are you using to adjust your balance rates following and injector change. I have a 2007 Duramax Diesel. Thanks for your Service! I did 7 years with the 101st. So I have a Kool Aid Pump'n Heart
Thanks for your time,
Don
Awesome 👍 I was with No Slack, also I used a tech 2
@@TruckMaster The Old 327th. Awesome. My last unit there was the 159th AVN Group
My son retired out of the 502nd
Lly had the best turbo
I see the ACDelco banner on the wall, is that the oil you would suggest running? As opposed to Amsoil or Delvac? I've used all 3 but have not had my oil tested to see which performs best. Any thoughts would be awesome!
Get a Fleece Turbo regardless of your truck brand.
Fleece is garbage 🗑
Duramax for sure
No L5P/17+ Duramax input? Interesting
