Dixon was on the racing line going at half pace then cut to ff line - totally more green than even rookie mistake. Fast hands and unpredictable moves result in lots of carbon fiber splinters.

Some Indycar races are quiet, but I was at RA today for this, and tomorrow is going to be a crazy race. The new surface is a bit slippery, but fast, and caught a lot of drivers out. The competition is really tough too, as drivers are getting desperate to not let their season slip away.

I don't get it, Scott Dixon just spun his car, he saw Roma8n coming but he didn't see Will shadowing Romain. It is obvious Romain's car covered Will's car. Scott was still moving slow in the racing line.
I am not exactly a Dixon fan, I respect the man because I know he races clean. There is no way Dixon was doing anything but trying to get out of the racing line while he was trying to check out his own car before he tried getting up to speed again. The last thing he would want to do is trash 2 race cars like that. He has no beef with Will.

I've followed IndyCar since the 70s & during CART split and up to today. Will had nowhere to go. Scott didn't see him. It was a racing incident. I want so bad to like Will Power - but he has always had this chip on his shoulder. I know things happen, words thrown, in the heat of the moment. The difference is simple -- Scott is a true professional. It wasn't intentional. He feels bad. He knows points, the championship and money are on the line. He was very gracious on this incident. That said.. I feel bad for Will. But sometimes WP needs to get out of his own way. He'd truly be an incredible force.

I am betting the asphalt is so fresh it is now starting to bake some of the oil out in places it hadn't been able to before. When that happens and you hit those patches and you don't hear the typical screeching of the tires, it is like what you expect to hear when the track is wet.
