As a Travel Photographer, I've had a lot of chances to refine and update not only the gear I choose to bring, but the way I pack them into my bags as well.
In this video, I show you how I organise and pack my bags for travel; not only my camera bag, but my suitcase also.

i don’t typically if i’m carrying this bigger one! i either carry the bag, or just carry a 1 camera and one lens combo
Don't know if I miss it but your laptop obviously will go into your Peak Design backpack. How much does your backpack weight at the end? I'm based in Japan and I can easily travel with just a backpack however carry on weight limit is kinda low here (from 7kg for certain airlines to 10kg).
Nice video! Quick question about the gear backpack: do you go inside the plane with it? And if so, do you take out every single piece of electronic on the control area inside a tray? (Including your expensive camera). At least that’s what they normally ask when I travel. Or you can put the backpack as it is under the scanner without taking it out from the bag?
The only country that I myself have been asked to so in was china. Besides that I’ve been many places and most don’t even ask me to take out my tablet let alone my camera and gear.
Similar question with the addition of lenses. I'm very protective of my gear and I'd rather not display my expensive camera gear for all to see LOL!
After doing 18 countries back in 2019 the only country that made me unpack my whole bag so they could look and test for explosives/drugs was turkey. every only country it was just entire bag on one tray and laptop on another.

Wow... this was almost like watching myself pack. The peak design eco-system is pretty damn handy, they have some very well thought out products.
One thing I thought was missing in your camera bag.... cleaning products for your lenses/body? I always bring a brush and microfiber cloths, in case my lenses get dirty. And I bring 2 sensorcleaning brushes, if for some reason the rocketblower can't get the stuff off.
Do you not bring that, or were they just misssing from the video?
You must be out in really dirrty or sandy environments to need that?

Do you bring tripods when travelling??
sometimes! but not usually
You can do much better with clothing. 2 pairs of smart wool socks, wear one on the plane. Same with underwear, either Summer-weight exofficio anti-microbial and 1 smart wool. Sleep in one cotton pair if those are too itchy/plasticky. So, 2-3 pair there. 3 t-shirts max. Wash the 3rd one in the shower as appropriate or send it out. Shoes? 2 Pairs max! The Xero brand for flip flops/thongs (or whatever you call them in your country!) and your daily shoes. Smartwool beanie + smart wool gloves + optional neck gaiter for super-cold weather. My son got by in Asia in Summer and on into Aust/NZ Spring with this setup for 4 months.
I have difficulties to pack my backpack, because I always bring a spare t-shirt and toiletries plus snacks...

Just saw your video. But where is your laptop? Or more importantly where do u pack it? U have a kb so I assume you are carrying a computer.
You're going to be shooting landscape and you're not bringing a tripod? I guess you would put it in your suitcase if you did take one. Does TSA hassle people over carry-on tripods, I wonder?
