    The right way anime should be heading, just like Hayao Miyazaki. That's why Makoto Shinkai will be remembered and none of those people who spew Moe shit and their warped fantasies.

    Jesus Christ yo, I mean like I love his work, his story and anime graphics everything is just so beautiful the anime that he made like "5 centimeters per second... It's just... Yeah he made them so happy and beautiful, until it he ending it's so sad and emotional that every movies I've seen from him the ending is so bad like "the garden of words" and watch 4 of his movies and still has sad endings... I hope his next movie has a good ending, otherwise it would turn out like 5 centimeters per second and that was the most emotional, saddest, and best love story that I ever watched but the animr turned out to be a sad ending... Don't u agree? ~_~

    • @nikolaiquack8548
      @nikolaiquack8548 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Prime Kessler Actually I disagree in a way. Sure, his anime oft end on a somber note, but not necessarily on a sad one. Take 5 cm per second for example. At the end Takaki does not get to see Akari again, however he does then turn around, smile and continue on his way. I think in a way it's supposed to mean that he has finally moved on and found his peace. That's how I interpret it anyway.

    What a genius. From my point of view this guy is far better than Miyazaki. I'm not much of a fantasy guy to be honest, but I think that his movies are aimed at older audiences and that's why most people think he's overrated, they're not mature enough or have never experienced such situations so they couldn't possibly understand.

    • @tazhc1
      @tazhc1 9 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Both men have their distinct styles with their respective fans
      I honestly couldn't compare the two
      When I saw Garden of Words, i shit you not, the animation made me cry.....
      But whenever I watch a Miyazaki film, its like I can almost see the man drawing the scenes as I watch, its scary and beautiful and has its own charm
      Neither are overrated and both put passions into their works, I think that much should be acknowledged

    @KazuyaMithra 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Shinkai is overrated. I think Satoshi Kon, Katsuhiro Otomo, Mamoru Oshii, and Mamoru Hosoda deserve way more recognition than he does imo.

    • @KazuyaMithra
      @KazuyaMithra 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** Sorry forgot him.

    • @KazuyaMithra
      @KazuyaMithra 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      ***** I have seen them and I don't have to think they're masterpieces. They're slow, cheesy, unoriginal, and predictable, and it seems like people are just hypnotized by his CG. All of the scripts sound like something from a corny romance novel. It seems like reviewers don't even know what they're talking about half of the time. Next miyazaki? Really? This guy? HE doesn't even think he comes near Miyazaki. He's great at using computer graphics, but he's no storyteller thats for damn sure. He should get different writers and he should only art direct since thats what he's good at.

    • @KazuyaMithra
      @KazuyaMithra 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** You said they weren't love stories and followed it up with "they're stories about love and about how you grow apart." What do you mean? How is that not a love story? Why are they put in the "romoance" genre all the time then? Even if they had a deeper meaning, they don't feel compelling or intriguing to me. I feel like 5 cm per second is a movie with little to no conflict at all really. That Akari girl and Takaki go nowhere and all we do is sit around and watch this dipshit be all "woes me" while speaking like a bad poet. And the last parts just felt like a waste of my time. Nothing happens. That other girl that has a crush on Takaki in the last part tries to get the guts to tell Takaki she likes him but doesn't even do it at the end. It left me really unsatisfied. What was the point of all of this? To show how Shinkai always feels lonely? Nearly all of his movies are like this or deal with those themes, not that I don't like loneliness as a theme, but its executed in what feels like the most boring way possible to me. His movies I feel should have a bit more variety or maybe one theme can have a backseat to another to make something feel more compelling. I heard the 5cps manga had more about what happened between Takaki and that other girl. Maybe more conflict would help. At least there was kind of a resolution at the end of Garden of Words. Although his work is nicely detailed, its not really my taste. The character designs in his early films feel oddly eerie to me for some odd reason and a lot of the animation I noticed takes a number of shortcuts or dips into a "less than stellar" framerate. The backgrounds don't get me wrong are great and mimic real life well, but I personally prefer the cityscapes and designs of some anime like Tekkonkinkreet, the Mamoru Oshii Ghost in the Shell movies, Akira, and Steamboy since they seem to make me feel like I'm in a place that's like a dream or something I'm really unfamiliar with featuring their striking imagery of machinery and cluttered city skylines. In the end its all just personal taste and perception.

    • @KazuyaMithra
      @KazuyaMithra 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ***** Yeah it really is just about what tastes you enjoy and Shinkai is really far from my favorite. I can't relate to him much so thats probably why I dislike his movies. Also I just wish more anime were more artistically experimental overall.

    • @christinamizelle281
      @christinamizelle281 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol if anything the people you listed are way more recognized than Shinkai tbh most of the things they are famous for are films/anime that most anyone in my generation has watched and well known and pretty common.
