- In this video I will show you ...
How I fixed (remove & replace) a cracked push start button on a Skoda Karoq. The model of the car I did this procedure on was the 2018 model. But I believe the same steps apply to most of the Skoda range, such as: Skoda Octavia, Skoda Kodiak, Skoda Suberb. Basically if your skoda was made between the years, 2017,2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 & 2022, these push button removal steps should work OK for you. Should! But check before you proceed, that the push button, you are buying is suitable for your car.

Please note:
There were some scenes in the video, where I used footage from a different video, as my footage was either blury, too dark, or the footage was not captured well.
The source I used for this was: YTC: Adrian AFD, check out his video on the Skoda push button repair, if you want to see it: • REMOVE AND INSTALL STA...

Really useful. Saved me a lot of time and money following your DIY advice. Much appreciated 👍
Comprehensive video. Thank you
Thank you! My start/stop button failed on my Karoq just a few days ago. The AA mechanic had to pull it all apart and show me how to push the electric terminals together until I could get it fixed. Skoda quoted me £60 plus labour and they couldn't get the button delivered until late June. I ordered it off the interweb for £15 and my brother fitted it within half an hour, thanks to your video.
That's awesome that you got it sorted Phil. Yeah its quiet an easy fix, but a mechanic or a main dealer, would probably charge a fortune for do it. and spoof on about Diagnositcs and all that. Glad you got it sorted. God Bless.
Nice teamwork. Good camera work. Beautiful dog. Blessings!
Thanks Kathy. Yeah my camera man was a little bit shaken this time. And I couldn't believe how fast it got dark when I started the job. It was bright at the beginning and near the end, about an hour later,I needed a head torch to light the shot. But hopefully some people will get some benefit from it.
