Nice video thought of this camera but no ibis and it’s in 8bit only. All the good Sony cameras are super expensive. I’ve been stuck on lumix just that they don’t have good autofocus. I might get the s5ii or wait for gh7 or gh6ii
8bit is still very good. Just need to not treat it like 10 bit and push the image too far. Applaud you Lumix and Panasonic people oo. I struggled with the Vlog on the GH4 lol
I shoot Fuji when my low back says so, and have picked up a lot of vintage lenses now. It's a thrill to pay 35 dollars for a Minolta Celtic 135mm f2.8 and have incredible sharpness at f5.6. Now, Takumar, Tair, Nikon, Zeiss, the fascinating Sears Rokkor 55mm 1.4. But yesterday a Konica Minolta AF 75-300 D showed up at my community thrift shop in minty shape with caps for ten bucks. So, I here looking to see what I can put it on. There's no way to control the aperature on Fuji, and my lens defaults to all the way closed down. 500 will be to much to spend. I'll keep looking.
I like vintage lenses. I have a couple of Canon FD lenses and they can be quite sharp around that F4 and F5.6 like you said

cool video. I've had my 6300 since it came out and it's a fantastic camera combined with Sigma lenses for photography and videography. 6300 combined with the 30mm 1:4 Sigma lens is a killer combination, it the lense that's always on my camera,. Works for everything.

So sorry for the late response. The A6600 solves a lot of the issues with it's predecessors. But it's also more pricey than the rest. And the new A6700 is now even pushing us closer to an FX30
No 10-bit recording but at the price it is very hard to beat.
Even the 8bit looks really good
I have Sony full frame.......I also have the a6300 and I still love it as an everyday camera

I have this camera, with the stock lens 1.8 35mm. Would it work to shoot a similar talking head video like the one you made?
Sorry for the late reply. You mean the kit lens Sony 16-50mm f3.5 - 5.6 right? If you zoom in to like a 35mm, you would get the same compression but the background won't be as blurry because the aperture will be around f5.0
Can you tell what lenses are you using and which would you recommend for a beginner? I actually have this camera and also i have 1,8/50 lens which is useful only for portraits ): o could really use a piece of advice from you. Great video btw!

I used 2 bodies because of overheating... but it takes awhile to cool off in hot weather.

Yes I do this sometimes. I ensure the other body is somewhere cool.
Also avoid direct sunlight hitting the camera - it will overheat in minutes lol
I have been using Nex6 and SEL1670Z since 2013, after 10 years I would like to upgrade Body. I use it for family and portrait photography (up to 1k images per year). I'm thinking of upgrading to an A6300 or A6100, I need fast autofocus and eye tracking, I mostly shoot on "Auto". Which upgrade do you recommend?
Well done. I haven't used the A6100 personally but from comparisons and what you intend to use it for, the A6100 has a little better and faster autofocus. It's also the newer camera compared the A6300. But you need to also note that the viewfinder on the A6300 is a little better. So if fast autofocus is what you need, A6100 is the way to go
Im currently using a Canon EOS 200d Mark II, solid and reassuring camera. However im leaning into an interest towards videography/cinematography, would you recommend the (Sony A6300) or any other cameras around a relatively cheap price?
I used to have the 200d mk II. For me the low light on that camera is terrible and the photos that come out of it is not special and lacks character. I ended up selling it after 6months of having it. If you just want a photo centric camera I'd rather use an old 5D which sell cheap nowadays. Image quality on it is amazing.
For a hybrid camera I'd recommend a6400 or ZV-e1 depending if you want pop up flash and viewfinder or not.

How do you feel this compares to the canon 77D, as a first camera? Found the Somy for $600ish and the Canon for $500- both used.

I need a second camera for photos and videos. a6300 or a6400? I don't want spend so much money
A6400 handles overheating a lot better so I would go with that if you can spare the extra cash
There is one cheapest solution to overheating: use thermal pads, there are plenty of videos on TH-cam about it.

I’ve had the A6300 over a year now and I think it’s a solid camera. Just make sure to get a couple lenses with stabilization and a tripod. You can also use a camera strap to help get stable footage. My gimbal is what really helps me nail smooth video with this camera. It’s so light that you won’t have any issues with weight. I would buy this camera again for what I got it for, but if you can afford it I would definitely look into some that are really geared toward video. You can make most any camera work, and the A6300 is one of them, but they make cameras specifically for video now. Hope this helps.
The sensor of this camera is the same from a6000-a6600, even the zve10 uses the same sensor. So i decided to get one for 300 bucks.

How can I avoid rolling shutter?
You just have to avoid quick camera movements. Either moving the camera itself filming something that's moving quite fast
Although I've found that filming in 60fps in HD, the rolling shutter is less compared to 4k on this camera
Should i choose a6300, m50ii or xt200 fuji😭😭
I don't know much about the other two but the only difference between the A6300 and A6500 is the IBIS. So maybe that helps? Lol
The last one probably I have both Sony and Fuji and I like the Fuji more
