I love my a6300. It's still totally fine in 2024. Kind of an amazing little camera. The newer Sony cameras have slightly faster focus and 26 vs 24 mp res and 10bit 4k vs 8bit 4k. Slow mo in 4k. Personally, I think 8 bit is fine. 😂 If you got deep pockets get a newer Sony, if not, the a6300 is still a hell of a great camera.
Great Video. I'm planning on buying my 1st camera this year for photography and videography/film making. I've been researching a lot about cameras and your vid also helps a lot in this things. I currently have my top 5 camera right now for an all rounder yet good for beginners Ranked from 1 to 5 (1 being the highest and priority-availabity) 1. Sony a6300 2. Sony a6100 3. Fujifilm XT-200 4. Sony a6000 5. Nikon D3500 I do have an issue with the price because I can't really find a fixed price for the brand new ones on the market (Philippines) but I can try to make an average price for the 2nd hand Hoping to get a camera this year
Thanks for reaching out. So sorry for the late response Of the three Sony cameras on your list, even though the Sony a6100 is the latest, for the sake of videography, I would still recommend you go for the Sony a6300 Nikon hasn't really been a popular brand amongst filmmakers except for their newer more expensive cameras (and their purchasing RED loool) I really can't say much about Fujifilm. I've only ever used one of their cameras the XT-3 and my editing system struggled with the codec
Hi! I´m just starting out and deciding between this camera and a Nikon z50. The a6300 I can buy it for 400 euros and the nikon z50 for 580 both with the kit lens. What would you recommend? Thank you!
hello Mr. Luke i have really liked your work i am Andrew Wagaba i have a sony alpha a6300 but i was impressed when i saw your work you did with a6300,have an issue with 4k when i shoot it is vibrates what do you think maybe the problem it's too checkie
Hi, I really appreciate your detail. I'm new in this creative industry. Sometimes the cost of the materials discourage me and How do I achieve it. Thanks
Hmm. I haven't used it personally but the kit lens 16-50mm I think, is still a good place to start. If you have some extra money, I would recommed the Sigma 30mm f1.4
Hi Luke, I have a problem using a6300. When I am using slog, the color looks correct on the camera screen with gamma assistance, but when I put the slog 2 video file on my computer inside PR, and use sony cube file to revert my color, it always looks wrong, and requires a lot of work to correct, it always seems a little pink in the image, do you know how to solve this? I've already used "expose to right" method.
Hi Billy, Thanks for reaching out The Sony cube file you mentioned, where did you get it from? and are you sure its meant to be used with an Slog 2 color profile specifically Then for the pink or magenta image you spoke about, you might want to check your White Balance and be sure you didn't accidentally dial in magenta (make sure the values are reading A-B: 0 and G-M: 0)
Hey bro thanks for the video. I have this camera but I’m on the fence of trading it in because of the warping it does when I’m recording. How can I go about getting my stabilization better with this camera
Hi Greg So sorry I’m just getting to respond Yes using a gimbal will definitely help, but also the lens you are using, does it allow for the Steadyshot feature? I have both the kit lens and a Sigma 16mm, and even though the Sigma is a much better lens, without a gimbal or tripod, the kit lens gives much more steady shots
Dear sir , I’m new to all the mirrorless cams and DSLR and what not , i need to know will this camera support the USB connectivity and full features of a DJI Ronin SC which i brought recently ? Like the recording button / trigger auto focus etc. ? Thx a bunch love ur work ❤
Thanks for reaching out I did a quick search and yes I think you are good. You can check the DJI page here for yourself - www.dji.com/global/mobile/support/compatibility/ronin-sc/a6300

Do you mean the camera itself vibrates, or your footage?

Is it still a pass for today's Amazon film standard
Yes Sir. There’s a scene in the Beyond the Veil series on Amazon Prime that we shot entirely on this camera.

Hello mr Luke. I have a eos rp, do you think i should sell it and get a sony a6300? I have issues with noises in lowlights stills and slow burst mode. What do you think?
No point. RP is supposed to have higher low light performance.
what's a fair price for it?
It depends on your location
We in the us
@@kavansilva1139 $200-$300 is a fair price for just the camera
This camera still good bro ?
With the best lenses available, it will always be good for stills.
Very true
Thank you
