Once you step in a Birkenstock, you don't care about style.
I saw them as ugly too until the day I felt their effect on my posture.
tbh they fumbled their bag by passing on the supreme and vetements collab, it wouldve def been huge and a lot of the younger generation would be wearing them, sorta like the Balenciaga x Crocs collab, that was HUGE. Idk why they collabed with that brand that made those ugly white hightop birkenstocks tho that were shown in this video.
My like made it 3 6’s so I unliked it lol

Worn my first pair in 2000 when I was a 16 year old. These were the IT sandals back then. You could dress em up or down 🤭😛

I wore out my old sliders, got the Birkenstock EVA sliders. So light and comfortable
I wear Gucci sandals, Balenciaga, Valentino, Prada, Hermés! But for long summer walks Birkenstock is life 👊🏻
I love how they mold to your feet after you break them in. So comfortable!

I’d you go to college in the US, you probably have a pair. They are hard to ruin, so practical Gen Z use them.

A pair can lasts for 10 years.. And it can be resoled. The way they treat the leather is outstanding.
I had a pair resoled once [I had worn them till there were literally holes all the way through], but it was as expensive as buying a new pair so I just replace them

@@BlueNoodle79 they are back because of some shops selling them through Amazon. But you can look who´s the seller, and go directly on that side then. They might be even cheaper, and these shops don´t have to give Amazon a share of the money then. I just bought a pair directly from the seller and even found a 20% off code on their website :) I do that with all products as much as possible, trying to avoid Amazon

I hate amazon. I wouldn't buy anything there except maybe trash bags or something. I used to hate Walmart but I find myself praising Walmart since I hate amazon so much. I shopped at amazon when it was school books.
In Germany we always used to wear them as house sandals! Now its also cool/socially acceptable to wear them outside, which I am pretty happy about.
For us is a dream come true to have a birkenstock❤️

No one mentions how good they are for your feet. My podiatrist recommends wearing them around the house.... flip flops offered no support that I wore for years and has ruined my feet and back.
Yep I was suffering from plantar fasciitis and podiatrist said one of the things to do is get Birkenstock’s... haven’t felt that pain for almost a year
I have some Birkenstocks that are around seven years old that I’ve worn to the beach and got wet. Only the soles need replacing. I can clean and recondition the footbed and leather myself. I can wear them all day but they’re not as comfortable as my Teva flip flops that mould perfectly to my instep. They fit so well that my feet don’t slide around like they do in my Birkenstocks. I don’t have to grip with my toes to keep them on like I do with slide in sandals and slippers. I just don’t like the noise they make.
Pain is beauty which is why you all are not😊😅😂.
I've been wearing them for 20 years! I don't care about the fashion, they're the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.

Good thing they did not collaborate with Supreme. People nowadays only care about the brand and the hype behind it. Quality and comfort should still be the number one priority for these companies.

At college I always saw them as rich girls sandals, you know those that buy Starbucks coffee and drive jeeps (Yes, Starbucks at college was too expensive for me).
I have 8 pairs of Birks, 7 of which are the Arizona, and wear them 99% of the time. I didn't realize how comfortable a shoe could be until I bought my first pair years ago. I now have inside Birks, outside Birks, beach Birks and even 1 pair of closed toe Birks. 🤣
6 months late but are your beach birks the rubber ones? How are they compared to the original cork ones?
@@400cabal The rubber ones are still in great shape! I wear them often. The rubber ones don't break in and mold to your foot but I found them comfortable out of the box. I hope that helps!

as a kid my favorite shoes were a pair of birks. When I outgrew them my mom gave them to my cousin, who passed it on to another when she outgrew them. 20 years later, the youngest of my cousins still wears them today. truly a quality shoe.
I wore my birkenstock on a trip, walked the whole day, I was so surprised that my feet didn't hurt at all!
i now love berkenstock even more for turning down supreme haha
I think part of the reason is how popular utility/comfort outfits have become. They are part of fashion now
Not going to lie, I was a hater until my girl and got me some. One of my fav things on my feet whenever I want to go out. I also have some GUESS ones too which are just as comfortable with the cork.
I was in the majority in NOT WEARING these shoes, but it was on sale and I desperately needed slippers bc it was hot (i just moved to 4 season country, coming from a place where it was just rain or heat, and i only packed winter items as it was fall). its so comfortable 6:00 is my first pair and i plan on getting different ones lol

Arizona aren't so ugly come on...and some people are really allergic to toe type shoes (in between) and Arising for me offers more support because of more leather
I absolutely adore my Birkenstocks! I got them for my birthday a year ago and they look great...just a lil dirty lol...I can see myself wearing them for 10+ years I will take them to the cobbler when the soles wear out :)
For anyone that also has foot issues, such as plantar's fascia (like me), I can't believe how stupid I was that I waited so long to invest with my first pair. They are one of the best items of footwear I could possibly own. Not only have my first pair maintained great shape and comfort, but I have yet to resole them, and my second pair are amazing to have for a pop of colour. Love, love, love Birkenstocks!!!!!

They last for years, are simple, and can go with almost anything you wear.

I bought my first pair in 1990. I bought them at Gaia's, a health store in Birmingham. The Birkenstock company used to resole them for free. People have made fun of mine but I never cared. I'm 48 now, have had probably 20+ pairs AND have never had a bunion or callous. And, I have perfect arches. Thanks Birks!

Birkenstock is kinda evil. I used to call them lord boards. Thought ugly as a dirty hippy. Now I wear only Birkenstocks. Slippers sneakers and of course sandals. I can’t wear any other shoes. My feet refuse other shoes. You may be 25 and thinking no way but trust me. Once you go Birk you never go back.

I've been saving up for a pair. They look so cute but COMFORTABLE. I've saved up before for a pair of Timberland boots and they've last me so well. I've used the boots in Mexico on rough terrain cause my family lives in a poorer part and they were comfortable and sturdy to wear. Love them.

my mom had birks from university that she passed down to me in gr.7 when birks were 'cool' to wear again. I wore them for 5-6 years before getting my own!

I bought my second pair of Birkenstock over 2 years ago and I’m still wearing them. They lasts for a long time and make sure you know how to take care of them.
Years ago, I found the madrid style at Payless. They were around $25 per pair. Bought 2 pairs. I don't know why Payless were selling them but a good deal.
They are comfortable who cares about style

I remember everyone in college wearing them and never knew why until I tried them out and understood how comfortable they are. I love that they are made in Germany and not a third world country.

I've been wearing Birkenstocks for over 40 years. I wear them around the house every day mostly and I take good care of them. My current Birks are 7 years old and the pair I had before that lasted over 20 years. Lately I've got a jones on for the clogs in suede and another in oiled leather. Might have to buy a pair of both. Money well spent I say.

Bikenstocks were cool when I was in high school in 2007. At least with the preps 😂
I was the only new-waver in the 80s that I knew that wore these. That was an era of "pointy" shoes being fashionable. EVERYONE made fun of me; I didn't care. I was the only one not b!tching about how sore my feet were at the end of the night when we went out, and I could walk all day. I found out years later that, even if I had wanted to, I could never have worn pointy high heels because I have a syndrome that makes my ligaments too long for my bones. I'd probably be in a wheelchair if I'd forced the issue. (I know a woman that had to have her feet operated on to repair the damage from always wearing heels so she could appear taller and she has pinched nerves all up her back too. So not worth it.)

I like Birkenstocks and they are Comfortable and I like to Wear them Without Socks and I usually wear them without Socks and To Air my Feet Out and Birkenstocks are Better Without Socks

The most COMFORTABLE foot bed for all day wear I have ever worn. Your feet will never get sore or tired and they will not slide around because of the moulded toe pattern in the sole that hugs your foot.

I don't see why people are just now obsessed about them they are ugly now and they were always ugly. My adidas are just as comfortable as these ugly things. I had madrid birkenstock from 2006 to 2010 it lasted 4 years and then 2012 I bought a kairo birkenstock until now i have it only wear occasionally. Mostly i wear havianas and bensimon shoes.

They are very comfortable, durable, anti-slip, especially if you have low-arch foot like me, it really helps.
People should wear footwear that suits their foot, not just pretty & trendy things that hurts your feet.
i had a pair since ‘21 and never had an issue with it not until this year when the sole needs to be resoled due to usage. worth every penny!
