These two were kind of New England things. For instance, Dexter had been making loafers for years and had several years earlier introduced their Italian influenced Alpine hiker named "Sitka". The company leveraged the all-leather waterproof boot segment with their original "wheat 8 and 6-inch boots". They were in the midst of invading Sperry's "Top-Sider" lock on boat shoes with their own take on that shoe which was simply a better shoe. They also further leveraged the moccasin segment with a kind of "super moccasin" that had 3-eyelets, leather linings, and then then game-changing idea of putting the same amber colored Vibram Montagnabloc lug soles as were on the "Wheat Boot". The irony of Birkenstock turning down Supreme and Vetements to then collab with Dior a few years later, especially considering the two fashion designers’ influence on high fashion in streetwear and hip hop in recent years which even made that collab possible. Edit: well that could be added on to what was mentioned about designer brands making their own versions and the Rick Owens collab

For work purposes, I have no idea, but as far as a casual everyday shoe, they hold up very well. Most NYers that where them for fashion buy fresh pairs for the winter, it gets us through the snow and rain. You don’t really need a new pair unless you want them to look nice, new, and clean.
They're all cheap Chinese crap now. I live like 2 miles from the Timberland headquarters in NH. Many of them used to be USA made and really high quality. There's several other brands that are similar price point who make much higher quality boots.
Used to be all handmade back in the 70s thru early 8's.....not no more....you can tell the difference. I had a pair about ten years ago and the entire sole fell off....bad glue job....timberland replaced them tho.....
Timberland has quality, durability and comfort. Birkenstock is.... comfortable as much as a sandal can be.... Crocks are well, plastic and as ugly as Birkenstock. I own Timberland, can't get through winter without them. Never bought Birkenstock or Crocks.
Me too. Love Timberland premiums for snow ,rain, sleet, great boot for new England weather. Kinda like the classic LLbean maine hunting boots. Never had crocs, or birkenstocks ,just no need for me. i like running shoes most of the year.

Wheat Timbs ain't for working in, only fashion. These young boys recognize after a week of wearing Timbs, you need real work boots! Steel toe, comfortable work boots.
I love timberland boots because it gives the confident feel i get which i supposed to feel in my kicks! And the brand name is the bomb. A hit since inception. I can see why it is so sorted after! But it simply don't need any random associates to, "🥁 drum up excitement"! For want of better words.
Daymond John looks like Timbaland the music producer and he is speaking about Timberland shoes
2pac’s Brenda’s got a baby video was the first time i saw Timberland. He’s rocking the coat like 2 minutes in.
I just purchased a pair of black timbs today lol !
I just purchased a pair of wheat aka butters. Also copped a pair of beef and broccoli..
I want to make it and I know how to do it but I hate waiting in the line...
I didn’t own Jordan’s but I did buy timberland school marm boots over and over once I became an adult. I’m now ok my 3rd pair of dr martens. I will invest. Not just buy.
Actually Timberland and Tommy Hilfiget arrived in Hiphop around the same time and if they weren’t wearing Tommy it was Polo Ralph Lauren and Nautica those were the three large name brands that were worn on the east coast then Columbia boots came in the late nineties to give Timberland a run for their money 💰🧐🧐🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️💁🏽♀️💁🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
Well-meaning people have given me crocs. I have given them away. You can't buy my most comfortable footwear. They are the old South African Defence Force PT shoes, khaki canvas-and-rubber trainers with a superficial resemblance to All Stars. Mine are are fifty years old this year and still going strong!
This reminds me of the origin of the Mercedes G Wagon
Once Timberland popularity explodes, I got myself Red Wings
As a Black German native that grew up in the U.S., a show about my two favorite shoes (ever) is delightful. :)
***Edit*** Birkenstock and Timberland to be exact.
Timberland
Birkenstock
Crocs
The irony of Birkenstock turning down Supreme and Vetements to then collab with Dior a few years later, especially considering the two fashion designers’ influence on high fashion in streetwear and hip hop in recent years which even made that collab possible.
Edit: well that could be added on to what was mentioned about designer brands making their own versions and the Rick Owens collab
LVMH who owns Dior purchased birkenstock. That’s why you see Birkenstock collaborating with luxury brands. Birkenstock prices are rising as well.

You should sell them! But that's MHO.
I don't watch films starring Mel Gibson
OR Liam Neeson anymore...
Birkenstock devotee here 👋
Sorry I have to boast: I do own Tim's, Birks not yet, howeeeevvver, I own 68 pairs of Crocs. A small.few are collabs. Dang, I continue to say how I need to buy stock in them.
SIXTY EIGHT PAIRS OF CROCS??! I think we need to have an intervention! This behaviour cannot continue!
I have Redwings
I'll stick to my Docs!
Yeezy is still the brand of all time 😎
no its not eww
Where is Dr. Martens?
Swartz was right. How in the world is it sustainable if shoe sales start resembling drug sales, cause there will be better drugs, or more hyped drugs.
Blundestone
I have my Timberland boat shoes, and my Crocs, never had a chance to OWN a Birks, I don't know why, maybe she doesn't APPEAL to me, anyway being OLD school is COOL...still wear a Levis 501, and my Adidas Superstar, stay AWAY Nike...
are the classic timberland boots really well made?
@@patrickpaterson8785 My Tim Premiums are mad in the Dominican Republic nowadays...not china
I’ll never forget this administration putting so many families into difficult situations. Imagine investing $1000 and receiving $10,300 weekly through Mrs Alma Robles who’ve helped me a lot through my trying times.🇺🇸
Sounds good ❤️🥰. Would like to also earn free this.
My friends and I hold Ms Alma in high esteem because of the stable $ 29,000 profit we're receiving from her investment
My second grandson introduced me to Ms Alma few days ago, and I’ve made over 15000 already. That’s to tell you how fast and reliable her investment is.
@@kevinchristopher7421 I’m new to this. Got some grands lying in my bank without increase. HOW DO I REACH HER?

They forgot to add white Nike air forces
They never said they don't ant to sell to black people.
They just said they want something that people will by for decades. Not just a fad, that will be over in a couple years.
birken = Green Cross in Southern Africa
Birkenstocks > Nike Slides and nasty Crocs
This continuous mention of Wheat coloured boots as Yellow is very irritating!
I’ve never seen bright yellow wheat; I’ve never owned Tim’s that were the color of real wheat.
Crocs are absolutely terrible on my feet.
Love my Birkenstocks though.
Ofcourse Post Malone be wearing them crocs . He always look like he just got outta bed. If crocs were a person, it’d be Post Malone 💯
I wasn't aware that crocs were so popular these days. I thought there were two reasons, period, for wearing crocs: you're wearing them around the house where no one can see you, or you're a nurse in a hospital and you have the excuse that you wear them for work reasons.
Literally no other excuses for this footwear other than that.
Although I gotta say some of them influenza people were pulling them off quite well.
Why doesnt any one correlate what happened with Doc Martens and the reggae wes tindian fashion with Timbs and hipp hop? Both were Bought by poor kids black and white, wearing elder brothers hand me downs ( undersized or overs ized trousers) standing on street corners in rain or shine . It was just common sense to buy rugged , durable, tough looking but Non military and still look good !!
Crocs are ugly. But they're good for when you're cutting your grass. They're easier to clean the boots or sneakers.
They are very comfortable
Anyone else looking to buy shoes and why they clicked this
We grew up wearing or trying to get these so we have to watch
I like the Panama Jacks more. Timberland is uncomfortable.
keep buying and investing in stocks or crypto, soon Bitcoin will hit $100,000
I love China's Birkenstock and Crocs. It's cheap.
My people makes everything beautiful....to bad they only used
