Very useful. I had some worn insulation on a wire feeding into one of these sockets that I needed to repair, but had no idea how to dismantle the connector to be able to get some heat-shrink over the worn area . This video really helped, although mine was the one with the deeply inserted green locking plate that I had to remove, but I got enough pointers from the video to be able to successfully complete the job in a few minutes.

First time messing with these connectors. After some frustration I discovered that the green wedge comes in different shapes depending on which connector you are using. I was trying to use the green wedge that goes with the rectangular (4 holes or more) to lock in the connector that has two holes. Didn't work. Then I discovered that there was a special one for the two-hole connector. It fit. Looking around in the kit I discovered that the triangular one takes a green "christmas tree" shaped green wedge.

How about the removal of the wires from the female receptical? I only see the how to for the male one?

What I love most about these is the absolute probability that as some point taking one apart I WILL stab myself with a screwdriver. It's not a proper job unless there is
    A, Blood.
    B, Left over parts.

Where in the world can I get a mating (male) end for the AT06-6s connector?

bit late but the AT06-6p: the s = socket and the p = plug

Boy am I dumb. I put that gasket on the wires first then slit them into place and pushed the gasket in the plug

Hi, good instructions, the sad part there is no explanation how to remove male pins in connector

this may sound like a "very stupid question"; which part of the component is the -"receptacle" and which part is the plug:" I,m not pulling your leg !! WHICH IS WHICH??? thank you,PATRICK.P

The receptacle is the female connector, the plug is the male connector. Note that the male connector holds the sockets (female), and the female connector houses the pins (male), which can be confusing.

The connectors might be low cost, but the crimper needed for this system is $299.00 plus. This is out of the range for an ordinary individual trying to repair a broken connector or to install a few new connectors on their auto or ATV. It is also too difficult to search out a garage that might do this repair because they also must have the crimper in their inventory.

I bought a Tool Aid 18880 which crimps the 18-14awg solid (barrel) type terminals just fine. It was like $30 or 35 maybe. Some of the cheaper metri-pack crimp tools would probably work for the winged style terminals also. Typically for any terminals out there, there is a cheaper tool that works fine, now if you are building harnesses and crimping 100s of these a day, those pro grade expensive tools are worth it to save your hands I would bet.

chinese crimper for this connector costs 30€ and I bet it works just as good.

Deutsch sell a open barrel crimp that can be crimped with a $30 tool and they accept a wider range of cable sizes 22awg instead of just 20 AWG

Total crap design. Good luck on the wedge lock removal without breaking it. Because once that "wedge" is broken to the point it's flush there's no saving it. Freaking scam
