Albert slicing open his shirt to put a rose next to his heart is now the new standard I must use for the next man I date. If he is not willing to go to that length of romance, he's not worth it.
LeilaniHapa yes she went into seclusion when he died great love and since he died not prince of England has been given the first name of Albert it was a rule of hers its a great love story he was the one to bring Christmas trees to Britain from Germany this spread throughout the world !!
From what I've read, Frederick William IV of Prussia famously married for love as well, and caused a big scandal for a while because he, a Protestant heir, was marrying a princess from the traditionally Catholic royal line in Bavaria. In the end, they reached a compromise and the couple were permitted to wed. While their marriage was an intimate one, they sadly weren't able to have children like Victoria and Albert did (it's unclear why, some suggest she was infertile). His nephew Frederick III famously married Victoria's eldest daughter, another true love story among royals.
God, The Marriage Proposal was more Romantic than anything I've ever seen on The Bachelor (USA). How those men Romanced their women in those days was so beautiful. It almost makes you want to go back in time just to have that one night of passion.
Oh god, I love the moment near end of segment 2 when they're all discussing Albert and then you see two men fm the knees down in those high boots walking purposefully ..... THEN they come in while Victoria is playing the piano. She hasn't seen Albert for several years evidently. THEN, he quietly walks over to the piano and reaches up, turns the page of music sheet. She looks up at him, startled, he just whispers..... Victoria. She stares and then says... Albert and we have to wait a week to see these two again !!!
I LOVE that moment too. Thought I was the only person like that last part in details. Luckily I save this movie on my HD i watch again and again never get tired. LOVE this couple the most to play Albert & Victoria.
Megan Slonksnis because she's the monarch so the onus was on her ! However I do know of a tradition in Ireland that allows for the same thing on February 29 so a leap year only know this as my cousin did so with her now husband think that's a celtic thing though !
Never has Piano Playing been seen to be so sensual and romantic. I had no idea that Jenna Louise Coleman could play so well. When she talked about Schubert, it was mentioned in "Carol" starring Cate Blanchett & Rooney Mara (who also play Piano). Cate Blanchett was also holding a Book featuring Schubert's Music. Rooney Mara can play a Mean Piano as seen on The Cleaner starring Benjamin Bratt. She played Billie Holiday in Carol.
They didnt actually play the piano i watched the behind the scenes and i think they put cotton under the strings and they also recorded someone playing schubert and they played it while they were playing the piano and they had to position their hands on the same keys used to play
this show is good but I think that there is not (and never will be) any comparison with "The Young Victoria", which in my opinion is the best fictional representation of Victoria and Albert's love story.
The first time I saw the scene where Albert cuts open his shirt to put the flower inside, I felt like one of those fembots when Austin Powers' mojo got too much for them and their heads started exploding.
Tom is way more atractive in real life😂😂 The first time I saw him in Albert's character I was like "Yerk"... And then when I saw him in real life with Jenna, I was "Well...actually he isn't so bad." At first I also asked myself how Jenna could kissed him but without the haircut and the mustach he is more then okay😂
Me too..actually I first comment that Jenna deserves better and all those stuffs but then I saw a picture of them in a park and it make me change my mind (oh, and I'm sorry about my english but I'm a 12 years old French)
It’s was common practice and acceptable back during the Victorian era to marry within the family, first, second and third cousins. It was very common within the royal families of European monarchies to marry distant relatives.
Jaqueline Luciano not a film an actual BBC series called simply Victoria its currently in its second season but the first season is on DVD as far as I know !!
ahora lo que sino he podido leer es si relmente era tan bajita como lo exponen en los primeros capitulos lo que he leido no hacen menicion de su estatura pero igual me encanta la serie
turnmeonwithart waldensienemkeit it is a feeling of being one with nature or alone in the woods I recently learnt it too learning German as my grandmother or should that be grossmutter was of a German background my two times great grandparents emigrated to Australia thats on my paternal side my dad even has a cute name he calls my mum his liebenfrau loving wife is probably closest to a meaning of it !
Albert is so romantic in a calm way. I absolutely love him. Definitely my favorite character.
The most incredible part is that he's not just a character! He was a real human being xD Need more Alberts in this world.
Albert slicing open his shirt to put a rose next to his heart is now the new standard I must use for the next man I date. If he is not willing to go to that length of romance, he's not worth it.
I had to look this up because it seemed unrealistic, and Prince Albert did this in real life. As if my standards weren't high enough already...
@@Hamsibian you made this even better, which I thought couldn't be possible.
@@marisolcastellanos3183 Hahaha glad to share!! :)
Isn’t it a orchid
Amen!
The only man with a mustache that I find attractive
Same 😂
I know, right?
OMG yes 😂
AMEN
Also martin urrutia
It's nice to know that not all royals and nobles were forced into loveless marriages. Sometimes, happy endings do exist...
LeilaniHapa yes she went into seclusion when he died great love and since he died not prince of England has been given the first name of Albert it was a rule of hers its a great love story he was the one to bring Christmas trees to Britain from Germany this spread throughout the world !!
Michelle Flood actually, Queen Elizabeth II’s father was baker prince Albert (later King George VI)

I love how he just pulls a knife from his boot like it nothing
Harlow West right??
"That is not a knife. THIS is a knife!"
Maybe it was common back then? Lol, idk. 😂
No palace security in those days, so sad.
Romantic moments equals almost the whole show because whatever they do together is so god damn adorable!!❤️❤️
I love this couple
michele guettaf me too!!☺️ And I applaud you for grouping together all their moments. Thank you☺️☺️✨✨
God, The Marriage Proposal was more Romantic than anything I've ever seen on The Bachelor (USA). How those men Romanced their women in those days was so beautiful. It almost makes you want to go back in time just to have that one night of passion.
At first I really liked her and M but then the way Albert came into it all slow mo, I knew in that moment that i was ready for this ship

Oh god, I love the moment near end of segment 2 when they're all discussing Albert and then you see two men fm the knees down in those high boots walking purposefully ..... michele, do you know the name of the song Albert plays in the beginning of this video.
love bags the name of the song is : Songs Without Words Félix Mendelssohn, Op. 19b: No. 4, Moderato
Ugh they're so adorable! 😋
When he walks in and turns the sheet music for her in episode 3 I already loved them
My favorite royal couple who really fell in love. She is so lucky Prince Albert is faithful till the end.
I am so deeply in love with this series!! Makes me think that it would be better if I live in 19th century 😂
latee late vxxx
Only if you were extremely wealthy, I would think. 99% did not live anything like this.
I wish I could dress like in the 19th century every day
Ana Maria Langa idk the corsets tho
The chemistry between these actors was amazing. So glad, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to watch, knowing of the true life romance
Obsessed with this show! I'm in tears bcz it's the end of season. Noooooo :(
She gave him the flower to remind him of his mother 😍 romance goes both ways!
Damn he's smooth.....
I love them and their outfits 💟💟💟 she asked him to marry her awwww
Megan Slonksnis because she's the monarch so the onus was on her ! However I do know of a tradition in Ireland that allows for the same thing on February 29 so a leap year only know this as my cousin did so with her now husband think that's a celtic thing though !
She had to because Albert proposing to her would’ve been improper as I learned. Oh well, it’s still romantic.
shes got a really good nose and a pretty face ofcourse.
I love the scene where she proposes to him.
With the candles around them, this makes a perfect setting for a proposal. 🕯💗😍🇬🇧
I’m crying, so freaking beautiful😢🖤👏🏼
I LOVE THEM
Awesome video 😍. ❤️this series ❤️ the chemistry between them the proposal 😍😍💕
The fact that they were dating during all this

Masterpiece Theatre has always done amazing interpretations of the Classics
They didnt actually play the piano i watched the behind the scenes and i think they put cotton under the strings and they also recorded someone playing schubert and they played it while they were playing the piano and they had to position their hands on the same keys used to play
Is it just me or is the German language suddenly sounding romantic
It's never been sounded so harsh lol. It's Hitler who made German language sounds hard and harsh
The romance in this show oh lord
Tom Hughes you are so attractive with a mustach, even better if some beard...
haikaruvlogs he’s such a gorgeous man 😍
I enjoyed the film.very good acting done by all.
this show is good but I think that there is not (and never will be) any comparison with "The Young Victoria", which in my opinion is the best fictional representation of Victoria and Albert's love story.
maybe she has lived a thousand lives💖
I adore theeeeem
This show really makes me want a tall man, but I’m 5’9 😢
They make a good couple.
I like him with his mustach and his haircut, in the show of course. I prefer his look in real
Me too..actually I first comment that Jenna deserves better and all those stuffs but then I saw a picture of them in a park and it make me change my mind (oh, and I'm sorry about my english but I'm a 12 years old French)
Rent his movie "Dare to be Wild" on you tube. Slow mo of the characters coming together reminds me of 9 1/2 Weeks movie.
They seem so cute even though i haven't seen the serie
Sooo, no one is gonna address the fact that they are first cousins xD
It’s was common practice and acceptable back during the Victorian era to marry within the family, first, second and third cousins. It was very common within the royal families of European monarchies to marry distant relatives.
The last scene made me tear up
I love it
