Albert and Victoria only had 9 children because Victoria loved to have fun in bed (if you know what I mean). And the indigenous peoples were disgracefully abused because the British considered themselves "superior" (as they still do). Other notorious characteristics of the Victorian age include an appalling degree of hypocrisy and prudery and an excessively unhealthy attitude to sex as a whole, all of which still have repercussions even today. Sex, prostitution and brothels of all kinds went "underground" and venereal disease was rife as a result. Women were completely repressed, both sexually and otherwise. Unmarried women who got pregnant were kicked out on the streets by their parents. Illegitimate children were farmed out to unscrupulous persons who often ill-treated them or killed them. Homosexuality was a crime for which "offenders" were actually sent to prison. Chair and table legs had to be covered as they were considered "indecent". And so on. Do you honestly think all this is something to be proud of?

They didn't have sex their wedding night as Victoria had a migraine. These 2 really did love each other and she was forever broken after he passed.
