A janky combo I came up with a while ago is a perfect fit in this deck, Animate Land + The End. Turn an opponents basic land into a creature, cast The End on it and go exile every basic land with the same name from their deck.

You can also use Eradicate and the Genju auras from Betrayers of Kamigawa. Or Liquimetal Coating and Splinter. There are a lot of ways to approach this combo.

The reason this smeagol in particular is popular is bc most content creators hyped it up in preview season as it goes infinite with another card that tempts you whenever a land comes into play. So it was always a mill deck and it’s a 2 card combo half of which is in the command zone. Edit: i think you need a token and a sac outlet too mb. The card is “Dúnedain Rangers”.

@@alexv1265 so, in the edit, i write that u need a sac outlet and token generator e.g: scuteswarm. U make the token the ringbearer, tutor a land, sac the ringbearer, repeat. Like a 4 piece combo but a) mills infinitely, b) 1 piece is in the command zone, c) you’re playing landfall so a token generator off of landfall should already be in the list.

Another good card for letting your opponents ramp is Old-Growth Dryads. It’s a 3/3 creature for G that on ETB lets each opponent search for a basic and put it into play tapped. It’s one of my favorites from my “undercosted high power creatures with hug downsides” deck.

I actually have a Smeagol milling deck as well, which was inspired by an older video where you talked about Bloodbond March.
I mainly use Smeagol to ramp. The milling engine is 11 Ravenous Rats and Altar of Dementia. I use Bloodbond March and a lot of graveyard-to-hand cards. And of course, Secret Salvage (another card this channel put me on) to get all those Rats in the graveyard for Bloodbond March abuse.

Not to mention, when the ramp is tacked onto your removal, people have MUCH less of a problem with the removal--since it's so much easier to rebuild.

I built a Dimir Lord of the Nazgul deck with nine Nazgul cards, and found the explosion of +1/+1 counters on Wraiths from Nazgul ring-tempts-you triggers totally overwhelmed all other deck dynamics and win conditions. Once you get Call of the Ring and 3+ Nazguls in play, there's no stopping the +1/+1 counter population explosion. You hardly even need your commander in play - Lord of the Nazgul just adds more Wraiths to the battlefield and blows out the game when you reach nine Wraiths.
Smeagol, Helpful Guide is intriguing, but the lack of Blue makes it harder to defend from removal. With nine Nazgul in a deck, I think I'd prefer to go Sultai rather than switch from Dimir to Golgari. Perhaps Yarok, the Desecrated would make a good Sultai bridge commander, doubling the ETB ring-tempts-you triggers your Nazgul generate to pump Smeagol's mill assaults? You could double it again with Panharmonicon or Reflections of Littjara as well.

Hey Demo, just wanted to let you know I found a neat card you might like to throw into your Shanna deck. Junkyo Bell is a 4 mana artifact that can replicate Shanna's ability and put it on a creature you control on upkeep. It makes you sac that creature at the end of turn, but you already plan on saccing big creatures in that deck anyways so I thought it was a good fit. It also lets you turn a token into a big sac target if you need it for some reason (since you probably won't always have Shanna around on your upkeep)

Demo, I built and played a Kaho, Minamo Hostorian deck due to you bringing them to light. It is mainly about getting Kaho out & casting Prologue to Phyresis. Everyone at my table actually loved it, even though it is infect. The deck has 0 infect creatures but does run all of the good Proliferate cards like the blue dominus & the 7/5 whale from MH3. It has a subtheme of planeswalkers with Ichormoon Guantlet.
The guys all liked it because it adds a clock to everyone, evenly. I love it because I end up having two main ways to win, through Infect or through the planeswalkers constantly growing each turn. I just wish there were a few more instant spells that gave an infect counter because as of right now, I have to be extremely careful when playing Kaho & exiling the spell.

I recently built Rakdos, the Muscle from Outlaws of Thunder Junction and it really surprised me how easily you can mill people out with that Commander, The only card in the actual deck that references milling is Alter of Dementia which I have used before to get to that end, but I've also milled people out without using it at all. Rakdos exiles off the top of Target players library equal to the mana value of creatures you sacrifice and when you have repeatable sac outlets and stuff like living death or just a really wide board, you can get there pretty easily.

Neat idea - I'm curious about if this deck can really function when so many of the cards that remove their lands only remove basics and give them the option with "player may search their library" as opposed to forcing them to. With so many groups opposed to certain amounts of land destruction and the ridiculous amount of utility lands now - most people don't run that many basics and the core milling engine (Smeagol) is for any land. We don't seem to currently have many cost effective tools to remove the nonbasics.

Collective Voiage is a force ability. Your opponents can choose to not pay any mana, but they have to search for the basic lands. Because you want them to have fewer lands in play you can pay as much mana as you want. Each deck, even the non-basic havy decks, have at least 5-10 basics, just in case of swords or ramp effects.
/e whoops, I made a mistake. You can always "fail to find" when you're searching in a hidden zone like the library. Nevertheless I let this comment here, if someone else thought the same like me.

@@brandotheone is aristocrats a deck that focuses on pinging opponents to death? Or rather is it a deck that focuses on death triggers and pings fit within that established theme?
The answer is the latter. Pings fit well in an aristocratic shell because it fits congruently in the established game plan. Which is using the value gained from death triggers to close out games.
Now back to mill, the game plan is to have your opponents have no cards in library while denying potential resources. At no point in a full mill focused deck will life total be a consideration. Then you play 1-2 cards that suddenly swhich the entire plan on its head. That’s jarring, and for some would be unfun.
Why not just include any good-stuff card that can fit with this commander? Why not run dozens of the best synergies off of EDHrec too? Simple, because he has a very specific theme to win in this deck. He wants to win from mill, not damage.
