Cannot thank you enough. My player would get stuck looping the further it got into the record. Makes sense that it was stuck due to low mobility levels !!!! I was so upset I couldn’t enjoy my records. Thank you!

This is exactly what i was looking for. My son bought this turntable for me for Christmas and I would hate to not have it setup properly. Thanks for the information!

Dude, you are a saint. Angel Horn sent me one for review and I wasn't sure what to make of the counterweight because I've never had a turntable with one. This video had me up and running in no time. I'll include a link to this video in my review when I publish it.🤘

This video saved our sanity and our records! Following Angels' Horn out-of-the-box instructions had our tonearm skipping with the slightest footstep near our turntable! Now we've got the right force and can even do a little dance in our living room to our music! Thank you so much for posting this and the recommendation for the little scale! Best $10 investment!

anks for the vid! I just took the anti skate weight off altogether, and haven't had a problem with the needle dropping straight down. Using an Ortofon omega cartridge.

Wow sorry you had that issue. Its my first player and i set it up from instructions from the box no issues but you got me concerned about the 3.5g force. My records never got scratched yet ....

Thanks for the video! I’ve never had a turntable with counterweight adjustments needed. My only suggestion would be some close-ups as you’re making the adjustments. Also is the small weight dial supposed to just freely spin? I would imagine there should be an initial start point but mine spins freely in either direction. Thanks!

ours has an internal amp? we rant through my stereo receiver but no sound. Bought an external amp but not sure how to connect, there is a ground on the amp and on the turntable, but only one place to connect. What do I do with the other ground?

Thanks for the video. The only problem i have with my Angels Horn turntable is that after a few songs it just turns off and comes to a slow stop. I have to turn it off and back on to make it work. I am going to reach out to them.

Loosening the screws still doesn’t work for my turntable. the tone arm is still very sticky and impossible to balance. Any other suggestions?

Mine will not turn despite the belt being placed correctly and the power source is fine. Any ideas? I've literally only used it once so far

Hi I have the angels horn model HP-H00501 and can’t see any anti-skating adjustment. The instructions don’t ref anti-skating at all. Mine doesn’t have the extra knob in the back like yours. The arm always just swings back to the rest. Any recommendations? The table is level and flat

Curious what your favorite entry-level turntable is. And do you think the Angels Horn all-in-one is any better? Seems like the arm might be less stiff and the counterweight might be more accurate.

My favorite entry level is the fluance RT80. I’d stay away from Angels Horn their quality is not the best

Thanks for this! Going to try this because I am very close to returning mine as the needle continues to scratch my records. Can you link the scale you used?

After loosening the screws a little be sure to add more weight to the tone arm their weight dials are waaaaay off!

Great vid sir! I have the same exact turntable, but a different issue... The table spins at 34.5 rpm out of the box. Any idea how to solve? (belt is properly installed) I'm curious if yours spins fast as well and maybe you haven't noticed? Thanks!

You have to do a speed adjustment, by turning the speed adjustment screw on the bottom with a small jewelers screwdriver. You have to remove the bottom panel which is a pain since it's held with six screws but behind the panel there are two holes with adjustment screws, the one labeled low is for adjusting 33.3 rpm mode and the one labeled high is for 45rpm. It only takes extremely small adjustments of this screw to greatly affect speed, and it's a lot of trial and error to get it right.
This is my first turntable and I wish I spent a little more and chose differently. With a LOT of tinkering, I've got itin an acceptable state, but these things should just work a whole lot better out of the box. Even properly adjusted, the wow and flutter isn't great (which wasn't a problem at all on a barely more expensive U-turn table my dad has and that also came with speed spot on), so I kind of have some remorse with this turntable). Still using it for now, but yeah...

@@deathsaber I got it to the right speed after a few hrs of tinkering. I agree, this should work correctly straight out the box! I used the app RPM Speed & Wow to assist. Trial and error for sure and extra emphasis on small adjustments

@@deathsaber12/25/23, Gift for my son. Worked great for about an hour then speed started fluctuating very noticeably. Emailed to activate warranty(however thats supposed to work) and described problem. We'll see how they handle. Thinking I'll end up needing a new motor and/or belt, neither of which seem to cost much but frustrating to have this problem on day one. Since it seems to fluctuate, I figure it isn't just an adjustment of speed. Was happy with it up to the point this started happening. Not so happy to be dealing with this on day one an hour into use though.

Customer service will not help if you buy your turntable from Amazon. Mine has a cutout when the songs fade to low volume, possibly a preamp problem but I’m clueless as to how to fix this myself
