Psalm 112

Response: In the Lord, saving grace is found. The response was inspired by 2 Corinthians 9:7-9, which refers to a verse in this psalm. The stanzas and response are arranged as they are in this video because this psalm is alphabetically acrostic. But this psalm and Psalm 111 differ from all the other acrostic psalms in that the other acrostic psalms have one stanza for each letter of the Hebrew alphabet but Psalms 111 and 112 have only one line for each letter of the alphabet. Then, the first two letters make one stanza, the next two letters the next stanza and so on. To go along with that pattern, I put the response between lines. Thus, this psalm is well suited to call and response singing. But the very first line, “Praise ye the LORD,” isn’t part of the acrosticism.
