  • In this episode of The Big Picture based on Big Tech Companies: Accountability First. Guidelines for Social Media have been effective from 26th May. As per the new rules SSMIs have follow due diligence and put in place a Grievance Redressal Mechanism. New rules provide for publishing monthly compliance report. In this episode we will discuss and analyse all aspects of the debate on accountability of Big Tech firms.

    India should have its own Big Tech & Hardware. If India doesnt encourage its own national intrest serving big tech, Be ready for Recolonisation Digitally.

    Haha...so this was a constructive debate....90% of the time spent bashing big tech. 🤣
    On a serious note though...I agree....these guys are getting to big to handle to the extent that the US is considering breaking them down....Also when you defy the directives of a sovereign govt and openly provoke the IT Minister, you know shit's going down.
    This is an opportunity to promote domestic platforms....we tried telegram over whatsapp but the movement soon lost steam......If the Indian govt. actively promotes d9mestic platforms with incentives and in a sustained manner, it would be a good solution.......These American firms promote too much neo liberal shit anyway.

    In My opinion Sir, humbly, this was one of example of incoherent talk show. Boring. Not much of interesting stuff to listen to. Also Questions framed are not that unique or specific, very general ones. Subimal sir also beating around the bush rather than discussing what asked.
