Thank you very much! Did this yesterday with some package foam I had at home and works perfect! I have ordered plastic guides for wobbly seats too! Keep on with these videos!:)
Walmart has a nice closed cell foam in their hobby/fabric section. Sheets of black foam about the size of a sheet of paper. Used it to fix my Jetta's heat vent doors.
great tutorials, im about to buy a cabriolet for myself :) cant wait to do all those improvements, do you know where can i buy all dash switches and lights, as well as vents? the car i looked at has the vents already broken
Check out the buyers guide on cabby-info. Not my website, but tons of good info. Unfortunately many vents break in these cars. Try mk1autohaus. They sometimes have them. Switches can also be found there. I always try to grab vents from junkyard vehicles if they are in good condition. But, that’s hard to find.
Is there a video for the dash lights (red) staying on for the airbags? I would like to see a video on how to get the 2 airbag lights on the dash turned off.
I have a 88 cabby..When I run my ac. I have cold air blowing only out my side vents. Nothing out the center vents. Could you do a video on how to get the ac to blow out the center vents
cabriolet2007 it’s Bronze Gray Metallic LA8Y. Good idea..I probably should. I’m actually in the process of making a video replacing the AC compressor in the bronze car. So it will be showing up soon!
@@OlisGarage lol here in the UK we never had mk1s with A/C or even airbags. Not many videos out there of anyone doing work on mk1s specially cabriolets, so it will be very good.
cabriolet2007 oh wow. Didn’t realize that. I love my ac during the hot summer rain. Will definitely make a video then. Your blue project car looks great!
@@OlisGarage cheers man, will do a update video as soon as this covid situation is over. Stay safe and look forward to more context from your channel 😎

Oran Sands thanks for the tip! I that is the perfect amount. I wasn’t sure where to buy some so I didn’t include it in the video.

Anthony Coleman no there isn’t. But realistically you won’t turn them off unless it you remove the airbag controller.

My center vent isn't opening, previous owner had control wire replaced, guess he messed something up, any ideas.

cabriolet2007 thank you, and you too!!
Did you say in German. I don't know 1:50?
Close. I said “somehow this one it definitely didn’t grab”
Good ear for the German though!!
Can someone tell me why side wents blow only cold air and can it be modified somehow
Just posted the link to my video in the description about how to do exactly that. It's not difficult, but also not particularly easy.
