    Great Video! I have to be up at the north end of the lake for a couple days (work related) and was wondering if there is anything to fish for up there in last couple weeks of August ? I know you indicated the fish move south for the summer (i am planning to take my seadoo fish pro if there is :).

    Another great video, thanks Tyler. May I ask who makes the rod holder extensions you are using on your kayak? I have the vertical extensions, but I've never seen the ones that "jog" the holder out wider? Thanks again for all you do!!

    • @spiltmilt

      It's made by RAM Mounts. You'll have to use their rod holders. Here is the extension mount: www.rammount.com/part/RAP-114-APB2U

    • @spiltmilt
      @spiltmilt  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Either the red-blue roof line or Wapato point should be holding fish that time of year. Boat traffic most definitely affects the bite.

    Tyler, I might not have mentioned this but I do have an old friend up in Winthrop, so I could end up there next fall. I'm really interested in kokanee fishing because it is very similar to Lake Superior coho fishing. If I get a chance I'll try to send you pics or videos of that. All I can say is the coho fishing around here is very much like the fishing in Riffe Lake and the fish themselves are delicious, unlike the chinook we have around here that are not very palitable in my opinion--Lake Michigan chinook are even worse!

    FYI Update on the Manson Bay Boat Launch. I just went there today for the first time with a trailered 12' Livingston and wasn't able to use that launch because the entrance is blocked by a locked metal post that makes it impossible to drive a vehicle down to the launch. Unless you have a key to the lock you're not going to be able to drive down to it, but rolling a kayak down on a kayak dolly past the locked post could be possible. (there was a Chelan County Sheriff's boat tied up to the launch dock, so maybe they're locking it for some reason?) Guess I'm going to have to launch at the Mill Bay public launch instead. Darn it.

    • @spiltmilt
      @spiltmilt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a bummer that was one of my favorite launches

    • @samrichmond3989
      @samrichmond3989 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You went to the launch directly across from the gas station which is a gated PUD launch site. the public one is just to right of that as you face the lake.

    Hi, How is your fishing rig setup for trolling?Also is it safe to fish on a pontoon boat at this lake? I just got a Colorado XT pontoon boat. I got a condo at Wapato Point and can access the lake there..

    • @spiltmilt
      @spiltmilt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could safely fish around Wapato Point or in Manson bay in your inflatable. I know many anglers who successfully target Kokanee from inflatable pontoons. You'll need a set of rod holders.
