Geraint is the epitome of what we should encourage all up-and-comers to aspire to - fiercely compete, stay humble, win (and lose) with humility, credit greatness. Fantastic role model.
G... Man you're the rider and man we all want to be, chin up, fight on and look forward to the future. You owe bike racing nothing, we owe you many hours of entertainment
This poor man has to answer questions about Tadej every day. The guy's 37 and he's still the second in the race. He's a tremendous athlete and it's frankly disrespectful at this point.
I respect Tadej’s prowess but Geraint’s interviews are superb. I like him as a rider more. Partly because we’re the same age, and partly because he’s just classy.
One of the few in his generation that probably has raced mostly clean throughout his career. Best of the rest, indeed. G, don't take it too hard. When the tell all books come out in a few decades, you will be regarded as one of the best of this generation as well as your own.
Such a phenomenal professional cyclist. GT, best of luck. You are one of the most important cyclists in the peloton. Cheers and best of luck. I really like the comment a race amongst the rest.
Pogacar is just the greatest cyclist ive ever seen. Like lost for words at this stage this is something weve never seen simply the goat at this point diong this stuff in this era and modern cycling.🐐🐐
Did you see the 2022 and 2023 Tour De France. He’s good, but the GOAT is Eddy Merckx. When he wins his 6th TDF’s 4 more Giro’s a 4 or 5 Vuelta’s then you have a case. Until then, you are just an over zealous Pogi fan. I get it, he’s a great rider.

If only football interviews could be truthful and not all the winging and moaning about the unfairness of a blade of grass which was responsible for the awful goal inducing bounce .
Contractual obligations/team politics etc… probably prevent that from happening. Shame as well- hopefully he will win a stage here before he retires- maybe next year!
Everyone is at the minute, Pogacar is on another planet physically. I'd be very surprised if Pogacar will be on Thomas's level at 37 which is the more impressive thing about G, he's Mr consistent, just knows how to reach a race in podium condition year in year out for 15 years now.
Typically Geraint's is the only interview I make sure to watch after the stage because he's the most frank and clear, and ya gotta love his attitude.
His podcast is awesome
Pidcock is similar too. Both honest, no canned answers, funny too
"still best of the rest I guess"
GT is such a class guy, he doesn't even seem bitter, just accepts reality
I appreciate he’s so willing to give straight forward honest answers right after 6 hours of riding up mountains.
This guy. Class.
Nuff said.
Cycling needs riders like G. Humble guy. Great competitor.
Pidcock answers very straightforward and frank as well
Geraint Thomas is such amazing person, great competitor and a very humble man
Love the Geraint interviews. Humble, unpretentious, informative.
And apparently delusional for the first week.
@@sidhayes6168 Kinda have to be otherwise nobody would do the Giro.

Such a good communicator.
he will be one day :)
As Slovenian I love G ... Also love his podcast - The Geraint Thomas Cycling :)
I hope he goes into commentating when he retires. Will be the best ever
"Is it raining?... Ah you've cracked me now". Haha what a great guy. Geraint is a legend
G is so genuine.

lol!!!
There's always gonna be someone better out there. I guess we all know who he is.
'were all cyborgs round here' 👽
First of the Humans! Great Mr.G!

Beautiful athlete!
i will miss him in the peloton, such a great rider and great person too
Always succinct , great rider and spokesperson.
Always give the best interviews
G seems like a good guy and realistic, he knows unless there is a disaster for Pogacar there is nothing that can be done
Honest and decent man and a good sport 👍
Amazing how grand tours always make sure to have a rest day on my day off work!
"I've done quite a few hard days over the years" :-)

Lose another 10 minutes and go for a stage, nobody is going to remember who finished 2nd or 3rd in this race.

He’s not Remco
Of course people remember the podium of a Grand Tour. That is a huge achievement, way more important and impressive then winning stages.
Better retire now, Mr. Thomas...
Why? He's still doing quite well....
