The UCI Mountain Bike World Series unites mountain bike’s major formats under a single brand for the first time. The new UCI Mountain Bike World Series includes the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup for Cross-country Olympic (XCO), Cross-country Short Track (XCC), Cross-country Marathon (XCM), Downhill (DHI), Enduro (EDR) and E-enduro (E-EDR).

Nothing is good, from comments to coverage of the track. It's really disapointing

@@markharlor1144the trouble is how hard it is to watch it! I subscribed to discovery plus on Amazon to get Eurosport, watched the female elites then it was all stop. Only place to watch was Eurosport app and subscription isn’t transferable, which would mean having to pay again! Safe to say I didn’t subscribe and also cancelled the sub on Amazon.

Please get rid of Ric. Watch Ronan Dunnes winning run and count how many times Ric just cuts off Greg and Aaron. Two of the greatest riders of all time and he just talks right over them to say absolute drivel. What a clown.
You all are too harsh, he's the driver of the commentary and has to try and create a sense of excitement. The other 2 are legends but are just talking normally.
I'd respectfully disagree, I didn't notice this (as a negative); it felt pretty natural commentating for me.
Overall Ric was pretty darn professional and made it quite exciting
Ric was the only one who dared to lift the heavy legacy from Warner, and cudos for that, but he knows to little about DH, and Josh Carlson would probably be a better choice.
@@nicholkid what's the point of having colour commentators if you don't let them finish a single thought? They never get to finish what they are saying with him. He doesn't have to excite people for every single split and the colour commentators are able to see splits too. Claudio (who i didn't really like) was never interrupted by Rob to the same degree that Ric interrupts everyone.

Why does Ric have to talk so much? He totally dominates the other two commentators who are both much more knowledgeable than him. Just coming out with inane stuff like "he rides a fine line between precision and total destruction"
That's just absolute nonsense and adds nothing to the commentary.
The play-by-play commentator describes the events (sort of a relic from radio era) and color commentator provides analysis. Warner was a perfect play-by-play, Ric just doesn't quite have the ability to generate enthusiasm for viewers. I don't think the issue is him interrupting the color analysis, that's kind of how the system works.

We didn't even get to see the comeback of Amaury? 14 minutes of elite race footage... This looked like an unreal heater of a race, at a brand new venue that spent millions to host this premier event and you give them 14 minutes to show for it. What and who is your priority UCI? It is certainly not the athletes, venues or spectators?

I get RedBull may have low bid but they really did invest in the sport. The thing I miss most is the riders go pros when it gets to the race/qualy/semis. Now we just cant see that anywhere apart from a selected few. We used to be able to watch people ramp up the speed from trackwalk to racerun and see every yard thanks to riders own TH-cam accounts. Now I get to watch selected parts of runs on a highlights? Massive backwards step for us fans... Paywall the livestreams, but please let the riders profit from sharing with us fans 🙏
Yeah but it we want this sport to be more mainstream you cant rely only on Redbull. There is still a lot of work from Eurosport though. Lets wait and see if they learn. Track itself was very nice though.

Red bull may be cheep (in respect to production value and what they pay the camera crew)but at least we get to see the events. Really annoying not being able to easily watch this race.
At least these commentators and ben cathro make an effort to pronounce the riders names properly.

I've seen nothing, why are you covering view angles just so it looks fast, we've seen nothing, neither what lines were picket in crucial sectors not how they have entered.
