    As a Chinese, I want to say that EHS9 is definitely not the best car, but probably is the best car at this price, and I'm wondering why the four-seater version isn't sold in your country, it's the best of ESH9:)) enjoy it.

      Good question. I think this merits a question to the importing company.
      My own opinion is that Hongqi is trying to market themselves to a broader audience. The 7 and six seaters make sense in competition with for example Audi, Mercedes, Tesla and Nio cars. It is priced quite well in comparison to the german premium brands. To be able to sell a 4 seat, to a narrower target group, they would need to establish a name in europe/internationally first, i belive.

      It is really greatlooking, I have to say. Which battery or trim would you get? There is a whooping 200 000 NOK/22 000 USD price difference between the low and highend versions.

      @kun me All are great buy, but I would take the top spec, air suspension and all. But I won't be buying it until maybe after few years ;) It's too big for our needs right now. I have ordered Nissan Ariya top spec and after I test drove that car we are going to wait for it. That one was great fun also.

    Friends, when I first saw this car with hidden door handles many years ago, I thought the retractable door handles would freeze easily in the cold. Hahaha. I saw it with my own eyes today. Your videos are great and make people feel happy.

      Agreed! But also expensive! Even with a very liberal policy towards EVs, this car, in its highest specifications still costs more than 800 000 NOK, just under 90 000 USD

    Looks really cool but it's questionable how will be work electric battery in cold Norway hope that u put out more videos and also u enjoy your new car without problems

      Most EV car batteries seem to drastically lose range in cold temperatures. It does depend on how cold it is i guess. Im sure you already know, but Norway has one the highest "adoption" rates for electric cars in the world. Thank you for liking the video! 😊

      well ... so far Norway is the only place in Europe where they sell it at all, so it kind of seems to be working up there; It only gets cold further inland, but barely in coastel areas;

      Well this car, the Hongqi e-hs9 had at some point more than 500 preorders. Im not sure if all of those were for the top model, costing around 94 000 USD. There were under 200 of these registered to new owners in January and just above 200 in february. There were at some point 500 preorders.

    great looking car, hows the quality and ranger per charge?

    • @charged1462
      @charged1462  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Greatlooking indeed!
      The range is highly temperature dependant. There are also some other factors, like load and terrain of course.
      However the distributors, in Norway atleast, have pretty realistic expectations. They have done their own testing and found different results based on said variables and temperature. You should expect about 300 km range in minus 10 °C with the largest batteri pack which is at 90kwh effective (its 99kWh nominal) and about 260 km I would wager with the smaller battery at 76,5 kWh.
      The WLTP numbers, which are based on best case numbers, I belive, are at 465km for the bigger battery and 396 for the smaller pack.
      Let's not forget this is a Very heavy car at 2700 kg...
      The quality of the interior i can say is pretty good. Ill be uploading a video soon on that. The car felt nice and tight.

      @@charged1462 Hello, can you tell me in winter when fully charged (80 or 90 or 100%), the next morning how much charge is left? Are you satisfied with this device? Do you know how much it will cost you to replace the battery if it performs its last function? If you had more money what did you buy? this car or you bought - Defender new new Diskovery - 5 , new Range Rover 2023 , BMW X7, TESLA X, Mercedes GLS 500, Lexus LX600, BYD TANG EV600, NIO E8?

    Is the door handle frozen from the weather? I just came from a Tesla video where the the door handles couldn’t release because of ice

    • @charged1462
      @charged1462  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could be. Honestly Im not sure, it was my first look at the Hongqi and so I didnt bother checking it in detail. I did however open the door from the inside so a passenger could get in, and that worked without an issue. Could have been frost issue, could have been something else.

    0:21 door handle is stuck - the dude then says "you can feel the quality of this car". Right!

    • @charged1462
      @charged1462  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well you do have a point! In addition the leftmost dashboard screen was inactive..or unresponsive at the time of testing/first look. But even with minor issues like this, you cant argue that Hongqi have built a very impressive EV, that is priced competitively.
      BTW, broken door handles are not minor issues for a car owner (i owned a Tesla model S with that issue), but as a tester, I was not very inconvenienced.

      Not entirely sure, there seems to be little available information regarding the rest of Europe. I would expect that Hongqi is looking for partners in northern europe and also taking note of how the sales numbers and user experiance in the norwegian market turn out. A wild guess would be summer or early fall.
