    Good video.
Started doing the sea swimming this Summer along the West coast of Ireland and last weekend, my first December immersion in the Irish sea off Co.Down. I've learned little tips each time to make it easier and bought a swim cap which I expect will make a difference. Absolutely busting to get in the water again ASAP

The French alpine lakes are the most amazing open water swim I've ever done. Amazingly clear & clean water which left my body feeling silky. If I could swim anywhere again it would be there 💕

My three friends and I have been swimming at Esker Point Beach on Long Island Sound in Groton, Connecticut (USA). We swam every day in November, and we are now making our way through December. The public pools are closed due to COVID. I cannot believe we are still doing this, but we keep each other going. It has kind of become a crazy game of chicken. Some days I completely lack motivation to get out of the warm house, but I have yet to regret a swim! Big winter storm coming tomorrow! Onward...

Love that quaint little lake! Must find something like that here.... Think a local cranberry farm has this. Just oceans, rivers and wild lakes otherwise. LOVE open water swimming, but JUST starting the Winter Season. Yikes. It IS amazing, but SO hard to get in. Bucket list - to go there for a swim and hot cocoa! Fun video. Thanks.

Super fun vid! Thanks for putting it together... and getting cold. Kudos to 4.8 degrees and no wetsuit! I’ve been cold water swimming here on Vancouver Island BC for a few weeks. But it’s been so hot! 14 degrees (water temp) with no wetsuit. Hoping to keep it up weekly for the winter.... but I will be getting a wetsuit 😉

I live only a few miles from the race hub where you filmed this, and it has encouraged me to start. My first session is on Wed morning. As I don't have a wetsuit yet, only a 2mm shortie, I'm expecting they will only let me in 1m from the bank for an "immersion" experience, and I'm ok with that if they thinks that's best. But your video has inspired me to get started & continue. Thank you.

Such a brilliant fun video, thank you girls. I have just started sea swimming in Weymouth. I'm used to being in a dry suit for diving and was rather scared of the cold. Managed a swim today in 15 degrees, which is cold for me. I can't begin to contemplate 4 degrees water!!!! You two made me want to try. You should have your won TV show.

having always preferred to swim in open water I now do so every day and going into an indoor pool now is so unappealing also as someone who exists with a low cost low work lifestyle it costs nothing to jump in my local river. The benefits have all been stated in this very heart warming film of two unpretentous people sharing thier cold experience in a warm way.

@@Type2Twins we did a nice stair climb at the dunes here. Mostly to get a view of Chicago. Then we got to the beach took a little break then hopped in. I'll admit at 50 degrees my legs were in pain at first but once submerged to my neck finally all the b pain was gone. It felt fine at that point too. We stayed in for about 15 minutes and had a tiny audience of about 7 people plus one dog. Once we got out we looked like lobsters but honestly it felt amazing. I didn't feel cold on the beach at all.

Entertaining, informative and funny. Possibly the best guide I’ve seen on cold water swimming. I’m a wuss when it comes to cold water, currently swimming daily in a lake in Hubley Canada. Will see how long I can keep going once winter starts creeping in. Can you tell me how it made your skin feel and how do you decide how long you will stay in
