Shop Safety:
In some of my videos I will share my experiences regarding shop safety. This is based on my knowledge and understanding, however ultimately you are responsible for your own safety so you will need to determine how to properly operate equipment in your shop to maintain your safety. You may want to consider taking some woodworking classes at your local college or craft center. Some Woodcraft stores around the US also offer classes on woodworking. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Excellent video. Thanks for a thorough explanation!
Thanks for the feedback Joe😊
Great video, Ken! As always, I learned something new, thank you. If you wanted to create cabinetry, such as a TV stand, out of veneered plywood, and wanted a stronger connection than that afforded by pocket hole joinery, what would you pick? I was surprised to learn the strength of these joints is just so-so.
Pocket holes can be strong, especially if you also use glue. I think they are fine for cabinetry. Depending on the weight of your TV, you might want to use dado joints. I avoid pocket screws where there is a lot of lateral stress, as in some leg joints in chairs. I am a fan of pocket hole joints, but it’s just a matter of each specific application. I hope this helps and thanks for your comment.😊
@@ristinnovations Thanks, Ken, it does. 👍 I'm just contemplating making a cabinet for behind a couch. I'd love for it to be strong enough for someone to stand on--not that I plan to, but it's a nice metric for which to aim.
Really useful video! May I ask why only 480p, is this an older video?
I just made this video recently. I wonder if my video editing settings are wrong in my software. I will check this today. Thanks for your comment
@@ristinnovations yeah please double check, I am sure your camera can do at least 1080p :) 480p doesn't look that good on larger screens.
@@riba2233 thank you very much. Ironically, I set my iPhone to 4K, but I think I have been editing all my videos at the wrong settings. You are the first person to mention anything about this so I really appreciate you taking the time to send me your comments
@@ristinnovations no problem, glad to help and looking forward to your next video!
