I swear if you start exercising alot your mental gets 100 percent better. Going for a run every morning especially. The physical pain you feel when exercising is healing for the mind.
We’ve all been there, you aren’t alone. I am glad you are doing something to help it. Please stay strong and push through, if it gets worse then don’t be afraid/ashamed to seek help.
Yep I notice a doc line in mental health if I’ve been idle for too long a 20min walk or get out on the push bike no music or any distractions just me. You have to give yourself the time to mentally unpack your life and free your mind of the buzz of modern day living. in my opinion
"Should I talk more, or should I talk less?" You should talk just the right amount, that pleases or helps you on that given day. And we shall be curious about your home town and your welfare, and grateful for you sharing both.
I love hiking and camping, but when I'm too busy for a long hiking trip I just spend some time in the park to watch the sunset. Nothing better than going outside!
So beautiful, always wanted to move to the UK, even named my band "The Bricks" cause I was inspired by northern England where I imagined all buildings being built out of red brick.
You're so knowledgeable and warm in these walk videos Dave. Even though you're struggling you bring pleasure to others with these and with your incredible music. It's lovely. I'm from Somerset originally, but for the last ten years I've been living in France. I've got used to how it is here in the west of France now. So it is a bit of a jolt when you walk past people in your video and they don't say "bonjour." Everyone says hello to people they pass by here.
I enjoyed this very much, you need not feel concerned it is interesting to see where people live and the locations, it all makes sense and me being an expatriate it is grand to see the U.K again.
The review from Jace media music. Was absolutely spot on. And I’m so happy you all got to see that. I’ve always said. When it looks like everything is falling apart it’s really all falling in to place.
I enjoyed this video!! Thanks for giving me a slight “vacation”. Im very much a hermit and its nice to see another part of the world in this manner. I think the talking makes it all the more interesting and entertaining. Keep well.
I used to visit Louth quite regularly for work. Not a bad little town. The Canal is still an important drainage dyke further down , emptying in to the Wash. It's one of the main reasons it was first dug.
Brilliant video Dave, I do hope you make some more. I want to thank you so much for this both as a person of the tube and also as a friend. This is the closest I get to spending some time with someone I admire and care about.
Thanks for the vid Dave! Walking is the best medicine. You get out, you notice nature and other things better and it helps to sort out your thoughts. I've been doing this for decades and I can only recommend it to everyone.
Yes Dave, I definitely enjoy your walks. Waffle on all you want, it’s interesting stuff. It’s like walking with a friend. Thanks Dave, for taking us along. ✌
This was great!! I love this kind of stuff. We begin to understand more of each other when we discover the world we each come from. I want to see the church!
Love a walking video 😁 It always astounds me how knowledgeable you are about where you live - always really interesting. I'm terrible at remembering historical facts about the places I live. Glad the walks are a positive thing in your life right now 🙂
That was quite a long nice walk. And a really nice place. From packed residential areas to whutering heights haha. Pardon my ignorance. Anyway I enjoyed a lot your babbling. Greetings from Japan! PS. it's funny we all have a Dr Anderson in our lives... We think we can go all alone but in truth we can't...
Tanks for taking us on another walk-a-bout! I really love to hear your stories & about the history of your area. It is beautiful there. Best Wishes from Nashville USA!
This is a fantastic video Dave. Its like going for a walk with a friend. I'd love to see more like this in the future. And if you do more videos talk as much as you want !. Hope yr doing ok man and i know things will improve soon.
Love the commentary on your walks, Dave.!! Felt like a guided tour from a friend Dr Anderson didn’t give up on you. We won’t give up on you. Don’t give up on yourself.
Thank you for this Dave, and I hope you're doing ok. Was lovely to take a nostalgic trip of my own while watching this - I was born in Louth, my grandparents lived on Charles Avenue just round the corner from where the video begins, and when you spoke about the Malt Kiln my memory gave me a distinct whiff of it. Lovely. All my family are now gone so I've had no reason to visit Louth in quite a while. Perhaps I should again.
Great post Dave. Always happy to learn more about our neighbours south of the border.Wonederful to see clear skies as well. Secret is to count your blessings. Once you mastered this you will be free.Love from a Rain soaked Glasgow.Kep Rocking.🙏
Dave, I've got a crazy theory with regard of your love for Katana amps. :) not that crazy though as it might seem. and, btw, I barely survived a pneumonia at 6 months of age, and there was an IV blood transfusion to my little baby skull involved as well, that kind of thing. And it looked symbolic to me, that there was this roadside board of some kind of a mother duck walking her ducklings, and that reminded me of an .. Ugly Duckling story :) anyway, about lithium. you must know that lithium used to be a cure against depression in the 90's or so. Kurt Cobain's song, right. The point is: lithium works as an anti-depressant not only as a pill or a water solution. A physical proximity to lithium helps as well. So, as you keep the the Katana amps near you, with their solid state circuit boards infused with lithium,.... you might actually feel better, just because of this... Well, and in my life, I've suffered... from, well. the s-word related things, as well, ... but ever since I've been in daily contact with lithium-based batteries on my laptop, sitting on my lap, at work, ... not a sign of depression ever anymore. It's just now I'm looking to replace sticking with the laptop, to sticking with my Katana.. (played and studied guitar since 1988, and born in Nov 1975, and now I"m getting back to my true love, guitar playing, and 30+ years has been worth the wait, esp. in the part of the world where I'm from :) .. cheers, and get well, Dave, and .... stick with your beloved Katanas' :)
Going for walks is the perfect way to help clear your mind and bring you some peace. I used to put my headphones in and do the same thing when I was struggling. The talking was nice, could even do a bit more of it! Just talk about whatever’s on your mind like you’re walking with a friend. Hope you feel better soon big man
Thanks for taking us along. Its good to see you taking care of your mental health. My health has declined and i cant do it anymore, but i used to love going to the airport and watching the people, and watching the planes take off and land. It really helped me get out of my own mind for a little while. Now i watch videos like this to help me focus somewhere else. So thank you for that.
Hey Dave-thanks for taking us along. Speaking for myself, I’m happy to go anytime you want to take us. That was very pleasant and it made me feel good to hear you say that you enjoy it 🙂. Do you have any interest in cycling 🚴? I’m an avid biker 🚴♂️ but haven’t been allowed to ride since the beginning of the pandemic because of a torn rotator cuff and the need for a total shoulder replacement surgery. I wouldn’t have surgery when hospitals were full of sick 😷 people and I’m now ready to get it done. Not riding for 3+ years has really wrecked me with depression. I can’t wait to get back on my bike 🚲 🩷. You might like a Brompton. They are very high quality bikes and they fold up. One would be easy to take in and out of the house and into the back of your van. You could start with a reasonably good mountain ⛰️ bike and see how you like it. Ed Pratt from England 🇬🇧 rode his unicycle around the world 🌍. He inspired me to get a uni that was delivered the first week of the pandemic. Really bad timing but I am determined to learn to ride it 🤞. Keep your chin 🆙 You’re doing great. 👍☮️🌞🎸🎵⭐️
Thanks for the video Dave. I love when you do these kinds of vids and don’t worry- you do not talk too much. On the contrary it makes the videos interesting. Also, I probably will never get to come to England or anywhere in Europe so that makes these kinds of vids even more enjoyable to watch. Thanks so much.
Love the walking videos, Dave. Right amount of talking, IMO. Some people drink, take drugs, talk to people, but walks in the woods always make me feel better. Probably not the healthiest thing. I really should talk to people more when I feel terrible. Being in silence when all you hear is your footsteps, wind through the pines, and occasional streams of water… I love it. I do admit I almost always have 1 airpod of music playing quietly on my walks. Music is fking as magical as nature to me.
Very interesting. I think the narration is just right and adds a lot-keep it up please. Wow what a personal story you have! Pretty incredible really. You are blessed with a great history-both of the land as well as your family. I’ll look forward to the next video.
Much love from the USA enjoying the video keep it up they say exercise is good for mental health I'm no expert but I'm willing to try just about anything I've been experiencing some depression myself lately it's not been temporary as i had hoped but I have to plug onward there are people counting on me so all I can do is give it my best shot all the best to you mate from North Carolina in America !
Dark head spaces are hard. I went through 5 yrs of stagnation I couldn't see a way out of.... at the time. When at my lowest, I'd tell myself that there are millions of people around the world who are going through so much worse and it honestly kept me from doing anything stupid. I think you know what I mean by that. I'm completely back to Myself now, but it was only the turn of this year that I've felt my "Normal" self. There is Always light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how dark it gets. I wish anyone struggling atm all the best, try and stay strong and things will hopefully change for those dealing with their mental health. Much Peace and Love to All. 👊
Love the video, and the area, im originally from Manfield, in Nottinghamshire, and i know exactly how you feel being out and about. Its a challengee andd half for myself too, and to get through that, to reach open fields, orr a place where other people are not, makes it worth it.
I would like to see more of these for sure, and I like the commentary personally. You captured some doves cooing a couple of times--always a good omen, I think. Thanks Mr. Dave!
It might not be an absolute cure all, but it’s always good to have a walk I find, thanks for taking us along with you, you seem quite natural behind the camera, even though you might not feel that way.
Enjoyed your walk video, especially your historic snippets. It's amazing how a walk a greenspace or by water lifts the spirits. Whether feeling down or not. Also I had a connection to your part of the world, I had an aunt and uncle who lived in Spilsby so nice to see the area, as I never visited them.
Well done Dave - love the historical facts and the wide open sky. I try to take a walk everyday too, but here it's gravel roads and forest tracks, so nobody to hear me when I talk to myself :)
Gorgeous neo tudor railway station, that. Very gorgeous. I've watched several cab ride videos from various bits of the British rail network, and some of the buildings and other structures; viaducts, tunnel faces etc from the mid 19th century are just jaw dropping. Beautiful form AND function.
I like this style of video! It almost feels like we're walking with you the way you recorded it, which is neat since, being in the States, I'm not sure if I'll ever have the chance to visit the UK nonetheless take a casual walk around a UK town, so this may be the closest I get to that. I enjoyed your additional commentary and historical facts, too. In my hometown a few years ago, there was an archivist that did free, in-person history walks where she led the small group of people that gathered around a part of town and discussed its history. I haven't seen them offered for a bit now, but your commentary reminded me of those. 😀
Thank you, Dave! This was a very nice video and it was great to hear the commentary. It's really encouraging to see that you still have your sense of humor. I loved seeing the sights around your town. Every time I go to the UK, I wished that I lived there. I love train travel and not having to always drive a car everywhere. Never sell yourself short my friend. You always excel at what you put your mind to. Peace & Love!
I love these walk and talks, I hope you do more of them. I have always wanted to go to the UK and Europe, I don't think I will ever get the chance, so watching you is great!!
Well that was a nice upload Dave, nice to see where other people live. At least you have somewhere to have a nice walk. My own town , mainly developed in the 60's, was designed very much for the car, so the road layout makes it difficult to walk around. Wouldn't worry about what to say on your vid, it was fine, nice to hear your thoughts and comments.
When someone upturns the jigsaw we have been putting together and all the pieces are laying all over the floor , our natural reaction is to spend time frantically trying to put them back together again.....the problem we don't realise is the picture on the lid of the box is now blank...........you will in your own time redraw that picture Dave and then and only then will the piece's begin to fit back together.......people don't watch your channel for just your skill as a guitarist m8 they watch because their interested in you....loved the walk......watched while making our sunday night curry....
currently at my lowest point. I go for walks too just to keep myself sane. it's so hard. Thanks Dave.
I swear if you start exercising alot your mental gets 100 percent better. Going for a run every morning especially. The physical pain you feel when exercising is healing for the mind.
Hang in there brother, much love.
We’ve all been there, you aren’t alone. I am glad you are doing something to help it. Please stay strong and push through, if it gets worse then don’t be afraid/ashamed to seek help.

Would love to see you walk around and talk about the history of your hometown more often. Very interesting stuff.
Thank you for taking us on a walk and talk. Great to have a bit of variety on the channel. Cheers 🥂

Always loved your walk videos and hearing you talk about the area you're from. Keep strong, I hope things improve for you soon.
Keep the videos coming... I can watch these everyday of the week!
So beautiful, always wanted to move to the UK, even named my band "The Bricks" cause I was inspired by northern England where I imagined all buildings being built out of red brick.
Awesome walk Dave, cheers!

This was a great treat Dave, it made me feel we were friends for realsies and not just from afar. Thanks and best wishes.

Brilliant video Dave, I do hope you make some more. I want to thank you so much for this both as a person of the tube and also as a friend. This is the closest I get to spending some time with someone I admire and care about.

That was great, Dave. Yeah, do more. Walking is good.
love the walk videos sooooo MUCH!!! lets go
Going for walks is the perfect way to help clear your mind and bring you some peace. I used to put my headphones in and do the same thing when I was struggling. The talking was nice, could even do a bit more of it! Just talk about whatever’s on your mind like you’re walking with a friend.

Walked alongside you virtually - street view covers almost all the route. I like a nice wander video.

Fun, love to see more videos like this. Talking amount is spot on. You deserve a vacation. Love to see your take of Europe.
Great video Dave , i liked it . Cheers from 🇨🇭
Looks like a lovely place to live, keep talking it’s a very interesting commentary very relaxing. Thanks
enjoyed that walk no need for me to go out now 👍
I would like to see more of these for sure, and I like the commentary personally. You captured some doves cooing a couple of times--always a good omen, I think. Thanks Mr. Dave!
Love the walking videos! Thx for sharing Dave!
Great video Dave, really liked the local history about the town and canal.Great stuff.
The flying Scotsman! I thought that was in Australia now for some reason.
Really enjoyed this. I'm pretty much housebound by germs so it was so lovely to get to live a walk through you. No, no silence please! Thanks Dave 😊
Dave keep your head up mate 🫡
Well done Dave - love the historical facts and the wide open sky. I try to take a walk everyday too, but here it's gravel roads and forest tracks, so nobody to hear me when I talk to myself :)

I love your walking videos. The area you live in looks like a place I'd enjoy exploring. Even the pastoral outskirts would be a relaxing adventure
