    I'm a college student who has played video games and you're using this as an insult? I don't remember trying to demean you of any stature or attack you personally i was just putting up an argument. I do agree there are many who don't deserve to be in the situations they are in, but these women have won countless times...To me a professional in a sport is one that has consistency and knowledge, and both of these people have showed they have those traits.

    You only bowl against yourself. You can't block your opponents shots or steal their ball. It's the purest sport there is.

    Some people only bowl as a fun recreational activity. They might not consider it a sport. Then there are other people who take it very seriously and to them it is a sport. My point is, it's really a matter of personal opinion.

    c'mon now...I am a golf pro, and I love to bowl...As long as it takes physical ability and mental strength, it is a sport. Poker...no physical strength. Therefore, not a sport.

    Add what you wish, and I'll add that's wonderful. No doubt your parents both boast the My Child Is An Honor Student sticker stuck to the back of their vehicles. Having the luxury of warming seat within the confines of four walls for numerous consecutive years may mean something to someone somewhere, but the approval of gatekeepers means little in the whole scheme of things. It does mean you'll be someone's employee. That said, please note the vast difference in approaches between then and now.

    By definition, even chess is a sport. That said, bowling requires a lot more effort than 99.99% of people will ever know, so it doesn't really matter what people think, honestly.

    • @danger0riley252
      @danger0riley252 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not Webster, but I've never heard chess defined as a sport.
      One of the things that factor into being a sport is having a particular season, like we think of basketball or thoroughbred horse racing.

    Can someone please explain to me why Sandra keeps putting her hand over the return after she uses her ball thing? I have seen other 10 pin bowlers do this as well but I have never known why. I bowl 5 pin and as far as I know, we don't do that.

    I'm just gonna put in my 2 cents. Not everything's about form. If you've ever watched golf there are a lot of ugly looking swings, take jim furyk for example, his swing looks like the worst loop ever but yet he's known for being one of the more consistent strikers and most lethal iron player on the tour. It all comes down to the basic release and being able to replicate. These people are called pros for a reason you know...

    May i add that I was an athlete through high school and have continued into college, while carrying a 3.7 gpa through high school and currently carrying a 3.9 in college while studying music education and competing collegiately...I've heard the phrase form follows function and know how it applies. I personally have worked the most at form in every sport i played; football, bowling, tennis, and golf. All requiring proper form to replicate the desired result.

      As you know, when your fingers are inside of the holes, fingers get easy to wet. It makes them protect, and then bowlers can make better shot.

    A public educated high school gamerboy may not have beard the phrase, Form Follows Function, but it applies in all aspects of sports, engineering, life. This isn't golf, however, the ugly swings are brought about by lackluster training and modern equipment that accommodates error... like bowling balls today. The term "professional" bears no standard of competence, it simply means that it is the participant's profession. Many people in various professions have no talent and should find other work

    Easy to why women's professional bowling is defunct. They both suck, though the Swedish chick has better form, and the World Cup competition is on a house shot. Why not have a miniature golf World Cup competition using a steel-clad ball and a magnetized cup that the green funnels to? Hey, wait! Could this event be construed as a Two Girls One Cup competition? At least it would draw some interest.
