Hey sir, thanks for giving updates. Lived in Bradenton for 27 yrs. Lived off of 82nd street off of Cortez. Moved up to Panhandle in 2017. Live outside Perry about 25 minutes. We got hit hard by Helene. Spent many great times out on Anna Maria Island.
We were without power 4-5 days. Internet took about a week or so. Lot of downed trees. Brothers friend owns a condo on Anna Maria ( about 3 blocks down from Bradenton Beach PD). Fortunately, his condo was on second story, and his a/c unit and storage area was damaged.
Really appreciate your videos. We have reservations mid March and I'm not even thinking of reaching out to resort owner yet. I want to give them as much time to focus on getting back. We love AMI and are rooting for its comeback which will happen. Please continue to give us updates which are the most accurate updates I've come across yet. I've never gone charter fishing but you will be the man if we do someday as well as frequent the businesses you provide links to. Great to see Bridge Tender tiki up and running. Any updates on Oma's would be appreciated. I lived in Bradenton in late 80's and have loved Oma's dating back to those days. Keep the positive vibe going.
Great seeing this video, it is so pleasing to see the lovely people of Anna Maria Island and Bradenton coming together to get things back to normal (if thats the right word to use) we are that pleased we have decided to book our two week holiday on Anna Maria Island next May to give just a little back to the folks of Anna Maria Island.

I'm bringing my family of 5 from North Dakota over Thanksgiving week, glad to see things are moving fast, I doubt it will be 100% in a month but so far our H2O bungalow rental is still gonna be open and I'm sure we will still have a great time
The Mainstream Media negativity negatively negatively is all part of their agendas to keep the people in a constant state of anxiety.. yes some areas have taken a real hit but the positivity of those who have lost everything like the Rod and Reel is just inspiring..you’re doing a great job promoting the island.

I'm wondering if the moratorium will stay in place for holmes beach until the beaches are open. Our cancel date is Nov 7th for a full refund and the moratorium runs past that. No idea what to do. Thanks for the updates!
Hi. So sad to see the paradises on the West Coast destroyed. My wife’s favourite restaurant is the Beach House and that looks in a poor state. Anna Marie will rise from the ashes like a Phoenix. 😔
The state & county has the say so when Anna Maria Island is safe to stay. You cannot just start coming on the island and staying safely until inspections are done!!!!! Gas is still scarce, food scarce, power not all connected, cable WiFi not connected. 2 more storms out in the Gulf rolling around again. We are still waiting for power and some businesses only take cash only in town !!
My parents discovered Anna Maria Island back in 1992. They never had anything like this hit them during their 25 years on the Island. My wife and I inherited their home late 2018 and had it remodeled assuming the future would be kind to us like the past was to my parents. Dream shattered. I am getting too old for this kind of stress every year. Time to sell and get out of Dodge? Insurance is sky high, property taxes are out of sight and now this? Starting to sound like California? Scary.
