Thanks for the video! Excited to watch it, though such a tragedy for the community. It's interesting to see the aftermath of such a powerful hurricane, godspeed and prayers to those that lost their homes/lives.
Thank you Chucky. Excellent video. I know a lot of those places pretty well. Sad to see so many places I love being destroyed like that, but I am glad to see that it is mostly a "cosmetic" damage and that it can be and I trust will be restored. For all things are possible with God.
Awesome video! Love the view, how fun! I'll have to look for you up in the air from now on. Our islands will never look the same but we're Florida strong, we'll rebuild!
as someone living in asheville NC who vacations in AMI... it's definitely been rough. we were just in AMI last month for vacation! right before it all went down.. we had no power or running water for a week and our running water still isn't clean currently. having to drink bottled water or boil anything we want to use. 3 of my partner's coworkers lost their homes in the flooding. we were lucky, the flooding stopped a road behind us!!
Any chance of capturing the 5900 block of Longboat Key, especially the east side? Great video and adventure Chucky, but so sad so many homes and businesses were destroyed. Thank-you for putting this on here!!!
Darn I was just thinking that the Longboat Key city council might not allow outside filming, not sure though so don’t violate any rules if they’re in place. Thanks!
Good information and clear HD footage, I tells me the story what happens when you live 200 ft away from the ocean .The ocean can come though your front door . Risk VS Reward .
Great video. Ive flown my drone out to AMI several times as well as boated out to the island before it was open. It looked way worse after Helene till it got cleaned up. Do you live close to here? I live the those white apartments right beside where you took off from! Its always been a dream to learn how to Paramotor.
yeah I live in Ellenton, and im going to be starting a school soon in lake wheels frost proof area for people wanting to get into it. also I have a tandem setup I could take you up in
@ChuckyWright Oh cool, that's really close. I'm a trainer and have a few clients in Lakewood Ranch as well as i work at a boat club in downtown Palmetto. So I'm in your area alot. I'd absolutely love for you to help me get into paramotoring, even though it seems scary as $h!t lol. I'm 6'4" 260 and wonder am I too big to do the tandem. How can I contact you? (Not trying to give creeper vibes lol)

I was out there on the 14th and threw anchor and went ashore right above city pier. The first pic in the link is your video and the second two are of me. I literally pulled the big trash can you see floating in your video out of the water and took it back to the dock! So fricken crazy lol

Glad I could give you a little perspective.
Awesome Video! Only 80 hurricanes made landfall in Florida since 2000, I thought someone was praying these away?

It was a tropical storm that was downgraded.
this is what you get when you stop to pray the ghey away
