When filling your gasoline tanks on the rv especially when you have low usage of the fuel from those tanks You should use a non- ethanol gasoline with a shelf life extender this will eliminate fuel problems with your generator. A tip from a former toy hauler owner.
@@mimijohnson7714 : Yeah, you can't really avoid ethanol, but you can and should use a fuel stabilizer, or else your generator's carburetor will eventually get gummed with stale gasoline.
I ditched the leveling boards in 2014 for overnight stops. You can manually level, just lift the low and even the pin a little without disconnecting, just pay attention to how far you are going up. I shoot for less than 2 degrees off level and it works for a night. Then all you need to do is retract all in the AM and I usually put a wheel chock out on the road side so I'm not relying on only the trucks emergency brake. Been doing this since I figured it out on my last 5th wheel I bought in 2013, and still use this method on our new GD Solitude.
I really enjoy wine tastings. I find it helpful to sip water, bit a cracker, or even smell coffee beans to cleanse my taste and smell between samples. I enjoy sharing a good bottle of wine.
Hey. I discovered something by accident! I was headed towards a Cracker Barrel. The road was closed. I needed sleep. I pull into Hardee’s . Stayed the night. Talked with the manager the next morning apologize for parking overnight. I discovered that a lot of fast food places are only using their drivethru. There is plenty of parking. Just when you leave do buy something.
In my opinion you will spend more on these free places with upgrades you need to make to the TT or 5th type RV to stay somewhat comfortable than staying at partcial or full hook up parks. Especially the part time RVers.
When I heard... I'm not a fan of white wine...that's it.... you are my favorite person. Love red wine!! Can't wait to get going. Who's up for an adventure? ... I'm ready!
Agreed. Like any wine, mead can be produced from very sweet to dry. Using honey as the source of added sugar, meads take on distinct flavor profiles based on the flowers from which the bees gathered their nectar. Mead is ancient.
See you are putting good use to the board. I refer to our wooden board as Bob. Bob is a quick fix to rutted parking spot. Plus it saved from damage when we nearly got stuck in a ditch. We Always bring Bob on our RV trips😉
We LOVE Walker / Dancing Bee! In the summer, they make mead-a-rita’s that are quite yummy and too fun! You were so close to us (Austin) while we are in Arkansas. LOL!
Tom I heard "the mayor" follows your channel too and she'll be sending you guys a bill for the lumber you "borrowed" from their resort..... hahahahahaha!!! With bad humor aside, great video...keep em coming friends!!

A little secret: if/when you are in Phoenix, AZ and are perhaps going toward Bartlett Lake for BLM camping here is a free dump site that I use all the time: goo.gl/maps/2rLzyVD1oTJcwc6z7
Hey Tom/Cherie...we're 'part-timers' as we're Canadian, and don't have the ability to stay the full length of a year, but in the time we do have, want to see more of the U.S., and watching video's such as yours help facilitate the many places to stop and see, along with (as in this video) places to just spend the night while passing through an area! We have a DP motorhome now, and tow our vehicle, but generally like to stop at some of the many small towns along a route, as many will have antique shops, specific diners that are popular, and many other interesting things to see, so if you have the ability to do that, it would be nice to see those in your video's! We have the Allstay's app, but my wife tends to be the navigator, and she prefers Campendium overall. We also have Freeroam, but...like you don't use it as much. We have Freecampsites.net on our laptop, but not our phones, so using it would be done prior to leaving in a morning stopover.
Welcome to our back yard here in Central Texas! Didn't know Walkers was a Harvest Host. I can see that it does get noisy there. I work for the RR out of Temple, and that track behind them can get busy. It's one of the major routes to/from Houston and San Antonio. I really enjoy your videos, and how much they have gotten funner with the help.of Logan. Keep up the awesome work. Too bad y'all were just traveling thru, there is so much to do in this area and this time of the year is some of the better weather and sun sets.
Haha "not too much wine... Spit buckets" lol. All the honey products they all look so yummy. We have never had honeycomb. Love this video thank you for sharing! We use most of these apps aswell. - Jay & Jessica -

Another great website is the recreation.gov for Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds which are fantastic if you are able to plan ahead some. Always clean and full hookup and very reasonable. I wish there was an App but we do us the site when we can. Allstays and Campendium are super great as well. Good luck in the New Year and we start it with our 38th Wedding Anniversary Jan 1. We will be enjoying our Journey this in the Plains and are so Excited to be going to the Badlands and Mt. Rushmore and so much more in Wyoming, Montana and Nebraska. This is my trip I have been waiting for because of COVID. We'll also be doing lots of 3 days here in Iowa so a busy, busy 7 to 8 months in 2021. Maybe we'll see you along the way. We are big State Park Campers, love to explore them and enjoy them.
Yes, Harvest Hosts is a membership program. When we joined there was no “requirement” to purchase anything from a host. As far as I’m concerned it’s still not a requirement, just a strong suggestion or recommendation from the program owners. Most of our stops have been wineries and we do a tasting (usually minimal $). If we like their product we usually buy a bottle, but we are not going to buy a wine we don’t like. Obviously (?) if we stop at a museum or other location with an admission fee we will probably pay and experience it since we probably chose that location so we could do that.
Make the entire world wear masks and the world becomes enslaved...ridiculous! Know you have to do it for the camera...ok sry had to vent. Cool honey place and who doesn't like wine tasting? Ty for sharing. Great information!

Just remember with Mead, you will never get a hangover no matter how much mead you drink.
