In the studio recording, Paul played the riff and did the rhythm guitar while George (with tremolo applied) would strum the G chord. John only did backing vocals and the tambourine. My evidence is take 1 and 2 of the song
Great cover! John on one of those famous magazine interviews said he came up with the riff of paperback writer and day tripper (not doubting that paul played it )
Excellent job. Of course, as pooman784 says, Paul played the lead on his Casino. You got the sound very close doing what you did. Want to try using the Casino for lead as an alternate, just for grins?
I really appreciate your work in de-mythologizing The Beatles music. But on the other hand, seeing that these 'gods' are just using normal chords and playing stuff that I could play is kind of disappointing. The old Wizard of Oz behind the curtain thing.
Really good! But it would’ve been Paul on lead guitar using a Casino & ricki on bass. George was on tambourine & was not actually on the backing track of main instruments.
Never seen someone get so close to the original sound with an SG
So you don’t know Perry Stanley’s channel!
@@WilliamCoversyes I watched perrys cover too but he used a casino
Wow. The tone is SPOT ON.
That was unexpectedly close sounding.
Incredible tone on the SG!
That initial bass strum is my favorite
Now where is the cover of Ringo laying in the garden?
hahaha
Ringo playing the drums with his mind
It's always a good day when you upload! Great work here once again!
Nice cover, Juo! I’d love to see a studio cover of this song.
That SG tone🤤
0:21 i always tought there's a hammer on from F to G on bass, nice video man

Well done!
Legendary cover mate!
Awesome cover, sounds fantastic!
Awesome performance have been a fan ❤😊
I would love to see a studio version!
Beautiful cover 🤌🏻🎸
Awesome job
Amazing job! You are spot on with all the parts. Love the SG and Hofner! New subscriber here 👍
Awesome!
Beautiful new casino

I want the studio version too!
Very nice!!! God job!!
Can you cover Rain by the Beatles on guitar and bass, video version???
Excellent job. Of course, as pooman784 says, Paul played the lead on his Casino. You got the sound very close doing what you did. Want to try using the Casino for lead as an alternate, just for grins?
So you still have the hofner bass, red les paul and sg guitar?
Please do the studio version
Man I am loving the tone and how you’ve mixed everything. I’ve got to know what amp or pedals (if there are any) you used
I want an SG so bad and I was considering that one or maybe even springing for the Gibson but idk 😅
Ooooo you want to be bankrupt and buy the SG ooooooo 👻👻👻👻
@@dorkle9085 I do! 😭
As always awesome job! Btw, can you tell what kind of strings did you used on Epiphone SG? Also did you used amp or just emulated sound on pc?
I really wish you’d put what equipment was used to get tones
Did Paul or George have the preset distortion going on the Vox Hybrid amp when they recorded their part?
Are you using the Dr. Robert pedal?
Care to share what effects your using on the SG part. ??
NICE! You think played the lead?
George with angus young sg

@@joshuavincentparrella6853 I think the same, but this is a version of the promotional video
But overdubbed the main riff on his SG, the SG is defo on it
