I have been to three of her concerts, and I don't think her music would gain anything from a large crowd. Can you see Eivør, just to come with an example, taking the stage instead of Queen at Live Aid in 1985? (There are videos from the occasion here on YT, so you can see). Granted, she could be playing for maybe 1000 people instead of 200, but I think the intimate setting suits her music better. Perhaps it also suits her character better as well (guessing from her concerts and music, I don't know her personally).
She is absolutely incredible!! Her music is so magical and she has so much fun on stage and those in the audience are having so much fun to. I really lvoe this!!!
Eivør, I LOVE you... your voice is out of this world and the way you perform, so uninhibited ... most of us lose the wonderful magic that used to live in us in the process of "growing up", when we "become sensible" instead of being spontaneous, awesomely silly and able to laugh about ourselves. You love what you do, and it can't get any better than that!!

We Dutch are kind expected to act timidly in crowds so we don't injure others or something. So even when people want to lose themselves they just kind of go with the crowd. Like, when watching this at home I'm totally getting into it, but in a crowd I'd just feel restrained.
