Paper planner gal here since I have been 14 years old. I’m now 56 years old and I still love my planner. Now that our kids are out of the house I still use my planner to keep track of appointments, social gatherings and my errands and cleaning. I also track personal goals in my planner too. I have a separate planner for my Etsy shop and Poshmark closet to keep me organized from personal and business. Love your videos

This past week I got so much done. I used some of your cleaning schedule ideas which helped in getting all the work done that was needed. I even had time to do some scrapbooking done. Several years ago I heard about a pastors wife that kept her spices in alphabet order so I started with getting new items and have used this way for many years now and it has worked so great for me. Great video! I decided to buy those spice jars too. They are so pretty! I’m putting mine inside my pantry on a spice rack that my husband installed. It has worked great for all my spices. Like you, I also keep my spices in alphabetical order.
This was great Robin! I plan everything out on paper. My goals are to keep on my budget, eating at home more and continue reading the Bible every night and just enjoy reading more books - started all this in August and so far I’m still going strong. Stay warm this week!!
I'm glad you lowered the shelves. It's the first thing I thought when you opened the cabinet door. Both my husband and I cook. Overtime, we started to date our spices and realized that we didn't go through them as quickly as we thought, resulting in less then optimal spices. Now we only buy bulk peppercorns and salt. Everything else is small jars.

I think I need a tutorial on how to effectively use a planner!!! I have purchased so many over the years that were only used for a month or so because they were more work than help. I’ve watched a few videos that have you jumping all over the place for this, that, and the other, I need simple! Would you consider an in-depth “how to”? You have a wonderful way of making things simple and clear.

This is a very inspirational vlog, Robin! My spice drawer is pretty untidy and the toothpicks fell into it over the holidays! A tidy up is in store! I keep my 'extra' spice packages in large coffee tins. This doesn't really work as I have no idea what's in the tins and I have to use a step ladder to get to them! I definitely need a re-think! Keep warm! (It will be 30degrees Celsius here in Victoria, Australia tomorrow!!)

Robin this was such a great video. I loved your new spice organization. I just refreshed my spice cabinet too. It’s always a work in progress. Oh…and I’ve been trying new soups as well. Kale is a great addition. Much sweeter than spinach I think.
Great video, Robin! Having spices organized in a functional yet visually appealing way makes a big difference as we cook and work in the kitchen. I did a similar organizing project a few years ago and it has been great. It stays organized and I can easily tell what I'm running low on.

I love that you lowered the shelves, and I think you will find this new set-up easy to use! I love the idea of using risers. I use one in the cabinet where I keep all my teas and herbal teas, and it’s very practical. You have given me a great idea with the glass jars, and I will see if I can order them. Sometimes, things that you have on Amazon in the US are not available on the Canadian site. It was a pleasure, today, to be able to watch your video and comment immediately! Hi Robin. Happy Sunday. Thank you for these great storage ideas. I especially had a light bulb moment when you used the funnel to add the peppercorns to the pepper mill. I’ve been trying to keep them from falling by cupping my hand around the opening. SMH. I have a funnel and will definitely be using it from now on. My spices arrangement is a mess. At 5 ft, the bottom of the lowest shelf is right about eye level. I cant reach the very back of it, and I can only reach the very front of the second shelf. I'm 68, and I think I live on my ladder stool 😂
I’m 5’1” and thankfully can reach almost everything on the bottom shelf and sometimes a few things carefully placed on the edge of the 2nd shelf if I stand on my tiptoes. We recently renovated our kitchen and I jokingly asked our contractor if he could install some of those rolling library ladders so I could reach everything without having to drag out a step-stool or stepladder. (I have 4-5 of those folding step-stools strategically located throughout our house.) So between rearranging our kitchen supplies due to the new layout plus trying to accommodate for my vertical challenges, our kitchen supplies get relocated fairly regularly. Robin, at least Patrick can watch your videos to find things. Mine still has to search in vain 1st wherever they used to be then ask me about their new location. 😂

I internalize regular schedules and both long-term and short-term plans. For something that isn't like appointments, I write the place and time on a simple wall calendar. Right now I mostly season my servings for everything except sinigang (Filipino sour soup) with nutritional yeast (kills my knee pain) and Cavender's Greek Seasoning (tastes delicious). I ordered CookingatPam'sPlace new spice blend but it hasn't arrived yet. For the last several weeks she's been posting more food recalls than I have ever heard in my entire 44 years. I'm 5'4 and have proportionally short legs so I usually need a step ladder for higher shelves. Mom does as well as she is 4'7. Still the same goals from last year. Get a job and then hopefully a place for the three of us. I did ask a chef if I could transcribe or data entry for him on his website but haven't got a response back yet. I primed and painted my desk that is currently in the bedroom ECOS chalk paint in Film Noir which is a brown color. Then I topped it with a wax coating. Ruined some of my clothing though. Need to get a painter's outfit for next time as I still have to do the remaining pieces that are outside and for future furniture. Not going to unbox them until I move as the drawers keep sliding out when it is moved. They cannot be removed. Brown and blue are my favorite colors. My accessories are always one or both of those colors. I also got two little bowls to hold my forever potpourri in lime in de coconut from Sweet Harvest Farms. The house smelt like there was a dead turtle underneath it. My brother found a rat up in the attic.

I would love to make over my spices like this. One thing i might try is to place the labels higher on the jars so they can all be read while they are sitting on the risers.

Thanks for the recipe, Robin! Looking forward to trying it later this week! We love soups in the wintertime...I have several recipes I rotate through...this looks like a good one to add to the rotation. (While my husband says he could eat soup year-round, we live in Georgia and I'm not interested in a steaming bowl of anything when the temperature and the humidity are both near the top of the charts!) I noticed you were using a pen for your planner. Have you ever tried Pilot's Frixion Pens? They're fully erasable which, for me anyway, is great because "life happens" and I'm forever having to shift my plans throughout the week. The Frixion Pens come in different colors which I find helpful, too, because I can quickly locate what I'm looking for in my "to-do" lists. I use Red for each night's meal plan, blue for things I need to do for church, and black for all the rest.

That soup looks great! I made the New England Clam Chowder from Pressure Luck that you showed a few weeks ago and it was delicious. I don't have an Instant Pot but it worked great on the stove top! The spice cabinet looks great! Did you get labels for the lids? The jars/labels I used for our spices came with two sets of labels and I was confused until I realized the small round ones were for the lids. It's been helpful because sometimes I'm using several and I don't want to mix the lids (and the spice aromas) Have a great week Robin!

My crockpot is beyond saving, so it's time for an upgrade! I know you love your Instant Pot, and that you cook for a family of three adults. Do you typically need the full 8 qt. capacity in the one you have, or could you get away with the 6 qt? My kitchen is on the smaller side, but I don't want to "under buy" and regret my purchase later. Would love you thoughts? Thanks, as always, for your videos and inspiration!!!❤
I have a 3 quart and an 8 quart Instant Pot. I think a 6 quart would be sufficient most of the time, but I love having the small one for small batches and for making rice. I got the large one because I realized it would be great for double batches to help me stock the freezer. I’d say if the storage space is an issue and you don’t do a lot of freezing then the 6 quart will be fine. Hope that helps! 😄🩵🩵🩵
I have a 3 quart instant pot. I found that smaller recipes were harder to come by. I've seen so many recipes for the larger pots and have been frustrated that I couldn't use them. Cutting recipes in half is not always possible. Just saying.

Robin, I love your channel and content. So sweet and encouraging. But I looked up the planner you use and I can't spend $65 on a planner. I doubt most of your subscribers can either. The Erin Condren weekly planner, vs. daily duo, is a little less expensive. But at full price, they are still a lot to spend. BUT….Erin Condren always has 30% off during Black Friday weekend and that is always when I order mine. And sometimes 25% off at other times during the year. They are my favorite planners!

Hi Robin. Happy Sunday. Thank you for these great storage ideas. I especially had a light bulb moment when you used the funnel to add the peppercorns to the pepper mill. I’ve been trying to keep them from falling by cupping my hand around the opening. SMH. I have a funnel and will definitely be using it from now on. My spices arrangement is a mess. At 5 ft, the bottom of the lowest shelf is right about eye level. I cant reach the very back of it, and I can only reach the very front of the second shelf. I'm 68, and I think I live on my ladder stool 😂
I’m 5’1” and thankfully can reach almost everything on the bottom shelf and sometimes a few things carefully placed on the edge of the 2nd shelf if I stand on my tiptoes. We recently renovated our kitchen and I jokingly asked our contractor if he could install some of those rolling library ladders so I could reach everything without having to drag out a step-stool or stepladder. (I have 4-5 of those folding step-stools strategically located throughout our house.) So between rearranging our kitchen supplies due to the new layout plus trying to accommodate for my vertical challenges, our kitchen supplies get relocated fairly regularly. Robin, at least Patrick can watch your videos to find things. Mine still has to search in vain 1st wherever they used to be then ask me about their new location. 😂

I internalize regular schedules and both long-term and short-term plans. For something that isn't like appointments, I write the place and time on a simple wall calendar. Right now I mostly season my servings for everything except sinigang (Filipino sour soup) with nutritional yeast (kills my knee pain) and Cavender's Greek Seasoning (tastes delicious). I ordered CookingatPam'sPlace new spice blend but it hasn't arrived yet. For the last several weeks she's been posting more food recalls than I have ever heard in my entire 44 years. I'm 5'4 and have proportionally short legs so I usually need a step ladder for higher shelves. Mom does as well as she is 4'7. Still the same goals from last year. Get a job and then hopefully a place for the three of us. I did ask a chef if I could transcribe or data entry for him on his website but haven't got a response back yet. I primed and painted my desk that is currently in the bedroom ECOS chalk paint in Film Noir which is a brown color. Then I topped it with a wax coating. Ruined some of my clothing though. Need to get a painter's outfit for next time as I still have to do the remaining pieces that are outside and for future furniture. Not going to unbox them until I move as the drawers keep sliding out when it is moved. They cannot be removed. Brown and blue are my favorite colors. My accessories are always one or both of those colors. I also got two little bowls to hold my forever potpourri in lime in de coconut from Sweet Harvest Farms. The house smelt like there was a dead turtle underneath it. My brother found a rat up in the attic.

I would love to make over my spices like this. One thing i might try is to place the labels higher on the jars so they can all be read while they are sitting on the risers.

We love soups in the wintertime...I have several recipes I rotate through...this looks like a good one to add to the rotation. (While my husband says he could eat soup year-round, we live in Georgia and I'm not interested in a steaming bowl of anything when the temperature and the humidity are both near the top of the charts!)
I noticed you were using a pen for your planner. Have you ever tried Pilot's Frixion Pens? They're fully erasable which, for me anyway, is great because "life happens" and I'm forever having to shift my plans throughout the week. The Frixion Pens come in different colors which I find helpful, too, because I can quickly locate what I'm looking for in my "to-do" lists. I use Red for each night's meal plan, blue for things I need to do for church, and black for all the rest.

That soup looks great! I made the New England Clam Chowder from Pressure Luck that you showed a few weeks ago and it was delicious. I don't have an Instant Pot but it worked great on the stove top! The spice cabinet looks great! Did you get labels for the lids? The jars/labels I used for our spices came with two sets of labels and I was confused until I realized the small round ones were for the lids. It's been helpful because sometimes I'm using several and I don't want to mix the lids (and the spice aromas) Have a great week Robin!

My crockpot is beyond saving, so it's time for an upgrade! I know you love your Instant Pot, and that you cook for a family of three adults. Do you typically need the full 8 qt. capacity in the one you have, or could you get away with the 6 qt? My kitchen is on the smaller side, but I don't want to "under buy" and regret my purchase later. Would love you thoughts? Thanks, as always, for your videos and inspiration!!!❤
I have a 3 quart and an 8 quart Instant Pot. I think a 6 quart would be sufficient most of the time, but I love having the small one for small batches and for making rice. I got the large one because I realized it would be great for double batches to help me stock the freezer. I’d say if the storage space is an issue and you don’t do a lot of freezing then the 6 quart will be fine. Hope that helps! 😄🩵🩵🩵

I have a 3 quart instant pot. I found that smaller recipes were harder to come by. I've seen so many recipes for the larger pots and have been frustrated that I couldn't use them. Cutting recipes in half is not always possible. Just saying.
