When I do laundry I will pray over my families clothes. I ask God to be with my family member as they wear the item and go through whatever is going on with the item on. I usually pray over the bigger pieces. I pray as I pick up and fold them. Then move on. A quick prayer changes my mind set for laundry.
I love it all because I love my family. A husband Fred and 3 dogs Bonnie, Cowboy and Cayenne.❤️❤️I vacuum and dust everyday so my house is clean all the time. I’m retired so life is good everyday 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
Hi Robin! Dusting is my least favorite task. It seems like it never ends. Like I dust and in a day or two the dust is back. I have alot of whatnots. Gave to me by family and friends. I listen to Christian homemaking videos like yours to help me get it done. I thank God for my home He gave me and have gratitude that I have furniture to dust.💜 Thank you Robin for this Christian Homemaking video of yours. God bless you!💜
Robin, you are such a wonderful and talented mom and wife, and your family is so blessed to have you! I love how you frame everything with an attitude of gratitude. My son loves enchiladas, so I have to give that recipe a try…much easier that the roll up kind and just as delicious I am sure! Lucky Peyton with his new comfy bed linens! I have an Alexa in my kitchen, so when I have to wash a sink full of dishes, I ask her to play James Taylor songs and it makes the job more fun!😊
Thank you so much Suzy! James Taylor! Great suggestion (I’m a NC girl originally 😉) Enjoy the enchilada casserole- it is much easier. 👍God bless you and your family! 🩵🩵🩵
James Taylor has been one of my favorites since my childhood; I loved reading you say this! 🥰 I listen to smooth jazz or folk music while doing my daily tasks also; just so soothing and upbeat with a wholesome sunshiny vibe, and it really keeps me moving with a happiness in my step! Blessings to you, this is a such great subscriber community that Robin has! 🥰
I absolutely dread vacuuming! It makes me sweaty and annoyed and I want to throw out all the furniture because they're in the way! I've learnt that vacuuming before showering is the key for me, it makes it more okay to get warm and sweaty and I get to clean myself, calm down and restart by taking a shower.
I totally agree with you on how blessed we are to have modern conveniences to help us get our work done. Our washing machine conked out this week and our new one was delivered yesterday. No lie, I wanted to hug the delivery folks. 😊 Hope that you have a wonderful week!
Good morning Robin! Hope this finds you and your family well ❤. I am very grateful for my family and my home. We’re so lucky to have all the modern conveniences to perform our everyday tasks! Everyday without fail I unload the dishwasher and make our bed. I really need that done to move on successfully! My husband and I watched your video Sunday night and when we saw the enchiladas, we had to try them. I made them Monday night for dinner and they are delicious and so much easier than making individual enchiladas. I too used a premade green sauce. Per my husband, this is a keeper! Have a blessed week. 🙏
Robin, I’m a homebody, I love making my home cozy. Your home is beautiful and cozy. Always appreciate your gentle reminders to appreciate what we have and the we are blessed to be able to maintain our home. Thank you and God bless you and your family.
Robin, I enjoyed this video. Thanks for all you do for your viewers. I used to watch all your videos and sometimes comment. A few years ago, my mom’s health began to decline which placed many demands on my time. She has a caregiver but I was/am with her a lot since I live only 1/2 mile from her. When she required much of my time, I stopped watching homemaking videos. I was resentful while watching them because I never knew what my week would look like and I really missed planning my week of homemaking and being able to do that. I honored my mom during that stressful time by taking care of her and being there for her. I love my mom and would do it all again if needed. Thankfully, her health is more stable now. She feels better and with the caregiver’s help she can get in her wheelchair and get around. I take her to dr appts, run her errands, etc. but the pace has slowed down for which I’m grateful. I just turned 61 and like a slow pace lol. I respect you and think very highly of you and apologize for abandoning your channel for awhile. I see you have 100,000+ subscribers now. Congratulations! I’ll enjoy binge watching all of the videos I missed. I saw in this video you didn’t use your cute little iron and the remote basket wasn’t in between your bed pillows. I have a lot of catching up to do. Take care, Robin, and warm regards from Mississippi. Blessings, Beth 🌿
Hi Beth and welcome back! I'm glad you weathered that tough season and can return to a slower pace at home. Your mom is so blessed to have you and I'm so happy to hear that she is doing much better. God bless you and your family!🩵🩵🩵
Hi Robin! Yes, we are all so blessed with our modern conveniences. I love your reminder to not take them for granted and appreciate them. We were without a dishwasher for many months last year waiting on a part. We finally gave up and bought a new dishwasher and I thank God every time I hit the start button. I have learned my lesson on taking our appliances for granted! Now, off to try that banana pudding recipe. It looks delicious! Have a blessed week!
And, I am so grateful to have a washing machine, the most important appliance, in my humble opinion. My mother-in-law is 95 years old, still lives in her apartment. She is alone since last year (75 plus years married). Anyway, she handwashed her laundry the old-fashioned way right up to the 1960's. This is the thing I never would want to do. I rather cook over a fire pit, then have to do this ❤
"Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?!" 🍪(I read that book with my granddaughter this week!) The enchilada casserole looks delicious and I've got enchilada sauce in the freezer so I'm rearranging my meal plan for this week. Thank you! I made a salted caramel apple cake today and we just finished having a piece with a cup of tea. It was soooooo good! The recipe is from a blog called house of elyn ryn. Have a great week Robin!
Working Mon-Fri, slowing down to ‘enjoy the mundane chores’ is not possible. I am lucky to accomplish what I do get done in a week which includes all the chores you do (cleaning, cooking, laundry, grooming dogs, yard work, volunteering at church, etc.) but in much less time. Ironing towels surely is not in my repertoire! 🥴
I don’t like cleaning the bathroom! But, music playing makes my chores more pleasant. I love your recipe. The new sheets in Peyton’s room really add a nice touch. Have a blessed week!
I don't mind folding clothes but I really dislike dusting. The dust keeps coming back! I've never minded meal preparation but like it better ever since se do weekly meal planning so I don't have to wonder each night what to prepare. I want to thank you for having recipes that use real meat. So many bloggers seem to rely on fake meat which my husband would rather starve than eat. Nothing wrong with beef and pork. I hope your coming week is blessed and happy.
I hate dusting too. It’s super tedious and I always have to take allergy medicine after 😂 I meal plan for the whole month which is hard for a couple days the month before but then I don’t have to hate doing it any time that month!
I’m know what you mean about the dusting! I have allergies too - so I feel your pain! 🤧😄 Excellent job on the meal planning! It really helps - right?! God bless you both and your families too! 🩵🩵🩵
thank you, Robin! My least favorite chore is dusting. I admit, I let it go much longer than I should. My beautiful daughter makes a point to dust for us each time she comes over just as an act of love for her parents. Currently though, we have most of our first-floor furniture in storage and are 2 weeks into a big remodel in most of our main floor, and even with the temporary zipper walls in place that construction dust gets EVERYWHERE! I find myself getting a bit crabby over that, but then I remind myself that I am BLESSED to be able to have this remodel and updating for our 35-year-old home, and even more blessed and grateful for the skilled workers who are making it happen for us. We were 35 years younger when we bought this house and raised our family here, and my intent with this do-over of the first floor is making this a safe home for us to continue to age in place. If it ever comes to it that we cannot use our 2nd floor bedroom, we have will have all we need to safely live on the first floor. Can you link the beautiful bracelet with the gold cross surrounded by the white beads? It really caught my eye in this video.
Wow! What a sweet daughter you have! I know exactly how you feel about the construction- the dust is unreal! 😱 stay focused on how much you will enjoy the end result. It sounds like you have a very well thought out plan. 👍🩵🩵🩵
I learned early on that a made bed makes the whole room look better. I also learned that the room looks cleaner if the floors are swapped. The older I get the more I enjoy these things. Thanks for the reminder. Have a blessed week.
Late to comment this week; but I really enjoyed this video Robin! 🥰 I am going to make Nana’s banana pudding for a get together this coming week when our first grandchild (our little granddaughter ) will be born ! 💜☺️ God bless you and your family Robin, and see you next week! ~ Audrey
Hi Robin - Yum, Yum all of that looks so delicious. Those cookies would never last long on my countertop and I absolutely love banana pudding and would you believe that I have never made a banana pudding myself. I’m considered a pretty good cook by my family at least but that’s some thing I’ve never tried. But I think I could do it using your recipe. Recently I was watching Lauren Nicholson another TH-camr. She was talking about one of her children had become gluten intolerant and she was struggling to figure out what to buy and how to cook. She had decided to convert her whole family to gluten-free instead of cooking two different meals several of us suggested to her to watch your channel for suggestions. I think it would help her. I am feeling really good and I’ve gotten past all that pain. I went to Sunday school and church this morning and yesterday I put clean sheets on my bed for the first time in over two months. Rachel has been having to come over and do it for me but I was able to do it myself. I love it when I’m able to do things on my own. Hope things will continue to improve. I have gained weight which is not good and also my hair has started really thinning. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and I’ll talk to him about it. I think it could be medicine I’m taking for both issues but so thankful to be feeling good. Love in Christ
Hi Donna! I bet you are a great cook and I know you’ll love this recipe!🍌 Thank you for suggesting my channel - I will have to look for Lauren’s channel. 👍 It’s great that you are feeling so much better even though you might be experiencing some not so fun side effects. I know you are happy to be back to doing things on your own and to the activities you love. God bless you my sweet friend and sister in Christ! 🩵🙏🩵
Housekeeping can be a boring, tedious job, but finding ways to make it less so, listening to music. Laundry is my least favorite chore. I loved seeing you pressing your towels and apron. This is a dieing art. I learned to iron by doing pillowcases, back in the days when they would be so wrinkled when they came out of the dryer. The goodies you made looked delicious. Hope you had a fun party. Have a good week. 😊
@FaithandFlour The smell of fresh linens being ironed still brings back those childhood memories. I also like when sheets can be dried on the clothesline.
I dislike ironing that’s my most unliked task, if I can avoid it, I don’t do it, and hang everything up after taking off the clothes line. I also don’t like cleaning out the fridge, but it’s a necessary task, so I do it when I can on a weekend. Hope you have a blessed week ahead and thankyou for such a wonderful video!
As always, I just love and look forward to your videos each week! Yes, we have so much to be thankful for with all of our conveniences, don't we! We are so blessed in this part of the world -- so many things that we take for granted. I am definitely interested in making your banana pudding, Robin! It looks so good! Have a great week 😊
That enchilada casserole looks good! I'm going to try that. I've made your spinach-sausage soup twice now, and it was delicious both times. I leave out the wine, and actually add less stock since (like you), I used only 1 lb of sausage. Once I used pork sausage, and another time used mild Italian sausage. And I added mushrooms. Both times were delicious. I don't have an instant pot, but it's easy to do on the stove top. Definitely a keeper!
I enjoy watching you & your peaceful home. I also make a version of the beef enchilada casserole that my husband & I really enjoy. Left overs freeze well, too!
My least favorite thing to do is to sweep/vacuum/mop. The primary reason for this is that I have a bad back and so it’s always painful when I have to do it but it Hass to be done. It’s just really hard to get motivated. I’ve tried listening to music in an audiobook, but if I’m focusing on cleaning the floors, then I sort of tune out the book. it is what it is
When I was growing up ironing was one of my chores. It was quite a task but things always looked more tailored. When I mention ironing people roll their eyes. It's a task that I enjoy...sad people find it a drudgery now.
What brand enchilada sauce did you use in the video, and was it 2 packets? It's nice to see the original recipe, but I'd also like to see your version with the changes you made. Looks yummy.
I never have minded doing the laundry. Been doing my own since my mother ruined my nicer shirts with fabric softener stains when I was a teenager. Dusting the ceiling fan and ceiling is my most disliked task. It was impossible after my breast reduction in 2015 since I wasn't allowed to lift my arms above my head. I need natural fiber sheets since I am allergic to polyester, nylon, and rayon. I love silk sheets since they don't dry out my skin and hair. The recipes look delicious. Lee and our son Daniel don't like peppers. May have found a job. A landscape company in California thinks I am a good fit as a data entry clerk. Only company out of 15 that I got an interview from. Well the other offer seemed to be a pyramid scheme.
Congratulations on the job opportunity Jean! I am praying that it is the right fit for you and that all goes well! Blessings to you and your family!🩵🩵🩵
Clean one shelf at a time . When you spot a smear clean that one shelf . My fridge is always spot less using this theory . Also use dishes under meat or baskets for veg and fruit . Always tear open plastic bags which helps to stop salad etc rotting . Ideally soak all fresh foods and when clean rebag .
Hi Robin, I love being a house wife and mom and nana. I hate dusting and I usually put it off until everything else is complete and then I have to do it. Lol I'd rather scrub toilets all day than to dust.
Hello Robin, I hope you are well. Your recipes looked great. Tell me what is liquid smoke made from. I’m wondering if I can use something that we have easily available over here. I haven’t seen liquid smoke although I have heard of it. I hate cleaning my oven 🫣 I don’t mind anything else , I look upon housework as movement and any move, ent is good for us. I’m a morning person so I get it all done before I head off to work. Anyhow have a wonderful week ❤🌿
Hi Sue! I have no idea how you would make or find a substitute for liquid smoke. Maybe a google search would turn up something. 🤔🤷♀️😉 Sounds like you have a great schedule that works for you. Well done! 👍🩵🩵
Hi Robin, what is the size of your new home? I’m where you were a few years ago and feeling a bit overwhelmed with needing to make a decision on downsizing!
Our home is just over 2000 square feet. It feels just right to us and much easier to clean and maintain for sure!👍 We are very happy with our choice and hope you will be too! 🩵🩵🩵

Thanks for sharing the recipes. I made it for dinner tonight, and we enjoyed it.
When I was growing up, my mom used to make this banana/vanilla wafer dessert, but she used vanilla pudding instead of custard.

We are so blessed in this part of the world -- so many things that we take for granted. I am definitely interested in making your banana pudding, Robin! It looks so good! Have a great week 😊
Thank you so much Joan! God bless you! 🩵🩵🩵
Another relaxing video..thank you, Robin. The dessert looks delicious!
Thank you Margaret! 🩵🩵🩵
I’m m so glad you like it Ann and your modifications sound really good! Thank you! 🩵🩵🩵
I enjoy watching you & your peaceful home. I also make a version of the beef enchilada casserole that my husband & I really enjoy. Left overs freeze well, too!
Thank you Connie! You are right - it freezes beautifully! 🩵🩵🩵
I so enjoy your channel! One question! Where xxx I you get your gorgeous dish towels! They are so pretty! God's Blessings on you and your family!
My least favorite thing to do is to sweep/vacuum/mop. The primary reason for this is that I have a bad back and so it’s always painful when I have to do it but it Hass to be done. It’s just really hard to get motivated. I’ve tried listening to music in an audiobook, but if I’m focusing on cleaning the floors, then I sort of tune out the book. it is what it is
Sorry to hear that Lauren! God bless! 🙏🩵
When I was growing up ironing was one of my chores. It was quite a task but things always looked more tailored. When I mention ironing people roll their eyes. It's a task that I enjoy...sad people find it a drudgery now.
I run into that all the time!(just read the comments 🙈) I can’t always find time , but when I do it is extremely satisfying- call me weird.
😄😉🩵
I absolutely hate mopping ❤ but I do it.
I dread that too -but the clean floor is so rewarding! 😄🫧🩵
Dusting and sweeping
I hear you Carol! 👍🩵
Love the bedding
Thank you! 🩵🩵🩵
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻señora robin su familia es muy bendecida tienen a una gran mujer muy linda y inteligente 👑🌷🌷🌷
Thanks so much Maria! God bless you and your family! 🩵🩵🩵
Oops! I meant Where do you get those lovely dish cloths!
Thank you for the Brooklinen review Robin! I spent my Saturday looking for decent sheets at HomeGoods etc. and came up with nothing.
Glad it was helpful Mia! Thanks and have a blessed week! 🩵🩵🩵
What brand enchilada sauce did you use in the video, and was it 2 packets? It's nice to see the original recipe, but I'd also like to see your version with the changes you made. Looks yummy.
Those enchiladas look so yummy!!! I am hungry!
They are Diane! I hope you'll give them a try!🩵🩵🩵
Laundry and the bathroom. I have such a hard time getting things done because I try to do too many things at once. Very overwhelming.
I have done that too Vicky! 😅 Slowing down helps, and I know that sometimes it can’t all be done- so some things just have to wait. 😉🩵
I made the enchilada casserole and it was really good.
I’m so glad Michelle! Thanks for letting me know! 🩵🩵🩵
I love your braclet Robin!❤️
Thank you Etta! 🩵🩵🩵
Good job Robin!!! 😊
Thank you! 🩵🩵🩵
Thank you Mrs Robin!
Thank you! 🩵🩵🩵
The sweets look delicious! I always make the Paula Deen banana pudding recipe. I love an old fashioned recipe though, I know it is delicious.
Anything by Paula Dean is good -right?! 😉 Thanks for watching and have a blessed week!🩵🩵🩵
As always a good video. Such good advice and inspirational thoughts. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks Marcia!
🩵🩵🩵
I hate hate cleaning the Fridge. I always clean it when it is almost empty but I still hate it.
Not my favorite either Gloria! 😄 Try listening to an audiobook or podcast - it will be finished in no time! 😉🩵
Thanks for the recipes, Robin!
Glad you like them Verna! Thanks for watching and God bless!
🩵🩵🩵
Hi Robin, I love being a house wife and mom and nana. I hate dusting and I usually put it off until everything else is complete and then I have to do it. Lol
I'd rather scrub toilets all day than to dust.
Haha Carol! I’d rather do a lot of other things rather than dust too! 🤧 But maybe not toilets. 😂🩵
Hello Robin, I hope you are well.
Your recipes looked great. Tell me what is liquid smoke made from. I’m wondering if I can use something that we have easily available over here. I haven’t seen liquid smoke although I have heard of it.
I hate cleaning my oven 🫣
I don’t mind anything else
, I look upon housework as movement and any move, ent is good for us.
I’m a morning person so I get it all done before I head off to work.
Anyhow have a wonderful week ❤🌿
Hi Sue! I have no idea how you would make or find a substitute for liquid smoke. Maybe a google search would turn up something. 🤔🤷♀️😉
Sounds like you have a great schedule that works for you. Well done! 👍🩵🩵
Yum!❤
Thank you Robin those recipes look yummy , I love your cookie jar is that on your Amazon ?
Thank you Beatrice! The cookie jar was a gift from long ago, but you might find a similar one on Amazon.
Have a blessed week! 🩵🩵🩵
Where did you get all your cute dish towels?
Hi Jackie! Most were gifts from different places that I have collected over time. Sorry I don't have any links for you. 🩵🩵🩵
Re banana pudding: Thanks for the recipes. It looked like you added half a stick of butter instead of two tablespoons. Please advise. Thanks.
Hi Lynn! I use Kerrrygold butter which comes in a large block, so it was just 2 Tablespoons. 😉👍🩵
I'm a homemaker too 😁❤️
Best job in the world! 👍🤩🩵
Would you mind sharing what you used to make your linen spray? I’m finding it harder to find

@@FaithandFlour thank you!
Light instrumental jazz puts me in such a wonderful mood, my getting one task turns into getting three done. Sneaky little jazz music! 😂
I love that Kelly and feel the same way! 🎵🎹🎺😉🩵
It’s not letting me stack the Presidents Day Sale with your discount code. 😥😥
I’m sorry Wendy! I let them know about it and will let you know when they get back to me. 🩵🩵🩵
Least favorite chore: mopping kitchen floor
Remedy: Turn the music on LOUD
Have you found a new church family since the move ?
Great strategy!!! We still attend our same church. It's a bit of a drive, but well worth it!🩵🩵🩵
😍😍😍
Thank you Sakshi! 🩵🩵🩵
Yummy 😋❤
Thank you April! 🩵🩵🩵
I'm doing my ironing whilst watching this video lol
Yay! 👍👏🤩🩵
Dusting has always been my least favorite household chore.
You are not alone Mia! 🤧😉🩵
💜💕🌷
Thank you! 🩵🩵🩵
There only chore I actually dislike is doing dishes. Don't mind cleaning bathrooms or doing laundry. Meh. But dishes.... Uuuuugggh.
I don’t blame you! It’s never ending!
🍽️🍳😅😉🩵
🇳🇱🌷🌷🌷🙋🏼♀️
Dusting is my least favorite chore even at 66yrs. Young, 😅
Absolutely understandable! 🤧😂👍🩵
