Thank you Corey for this.I really wish I had the wisdom you have when I was your age my dear.My life would have been loved a lot more peaceful. I was a mom of 3 boys by age 26 and our lives have been such a struggle. Even though we were saved just before we got married, I've had to battle many demons.I came from a very broken and dysfunctional family and have found it very hard to trust people, even God . But through it all I can see how far I've come up till now.Im 62 now and realize that all the battles have made me a strong person. Resentment from not having good parents has been one of my demons. The best thing to do is forgive and carry on. Holding on to negative things steals our joy and makes us miserable. Bless you dear girl.Love your videos with just you and Katie and your lovely Mama, Dad and Granny.Thank you.

Thank you so much for this video. I did not realize how much I needed to hear this until I was sobbing by the end. I have severed relationships with family members over such petty resentments and some of them it is too late to make amends with those people as they have passed on, but I understand now that I can ask God to forgive my pettiness and help me forgive myself and try to be better going forward in my life. Thank you again. I feel like you really blessed me today and I'm so glad I found your family's TH-cam channels. It's funny, I'm 55 years old, but you and your sister have taught me so much about grace and forgiveness and the importance of family. So insightful! What I’ve observed is if resentment festers it becomes resigned bitterness. All this is a cousin to jealousy, envy, & strife. Folks get stuck & can’t seem to break through to simple gratitude. I’m at fault for many feelings, but embrace gratitude in abundance for the life God gave me. My mother passed 12 years ago & moved into illness & old age toward resigned bitterness, blaming…I can say watching this process helped me to step outside allowing myself to be bitter toward my advancing age & health issues. Thank goodness you Corie have figured it out so young. Wise young woman! I credit your parents & your remarkable insight to take up the high road for yourself. You will become a fantastic leader for all young ones & if blessed to be a Mamma, you already have what it takes to raise emotionally, spiritually healthy children!

Thank you for the insights. I grew up with parents as well as both sets of grandparents that taught us (many times indirectly) that life is both unfair and offensive. With regard to life being unfair, you have to try and deal with these feelings by turning them into motivation to rise above those feelings, kind of like proving that person wrong. I don’t mean that in a prideful or spiteful way, but as a means of looking to better yourself. But at the same time - as you point out - taking a step back and determining if the other person intentionally treated you unfair. I have found that most of the time it is not intentional and I can let those negative feelings go. The same with feeling offended. Life is hard as it is without assuming the burden of always feeling offended. Avoid those who constantly bring these feelings upon you, whether it’s family or friends. I have seen others deal with this more from family. I am blessed that this was never the case in my family. Regardless, I am heartened to see a young woman have the insight and wisdom to see the issues and seek guidance from God to help you and to pass this on to your viewers. Videos like this make this channel a blessing. Thank you.

Perfect. I learned this many decades ago. I worked thru it. I love yr term , butthurt. I was raised on a ranch in Southern California. My GreatGrand Father told me many times. Treat people the way you want to be treated. You at times will meet some jerks. Turn and walk away. But if they need your help, then help them. But never ask for anything in return. Never. You do it because it is the right thing to do. We have never been church going people. The almighty is with us everyday. We are truly blessed.

I don't or never have allowed other people emotions (when I was young it did) to effect me or my thoughts in anyway. What God cares about me or judge me for is all that matters to me.
After all, it's the Ego that needs the satisfaction of hurting someone because they hurt you. I have never needed that to love my God.

Thank you for your advice on resentment, Corie. You are absolutely spot on with this. When someone resents you ,especially when they do it on purpose, STAY IN PRAYER ABOUT IT EVERYDAY! Ask God to show you the path He wants you on to help the person see and know that you are going to love them no matter how resentful they are of you. This is not easy to do without God’s help. Don’t let the devil get a strong hold in any part of the situation. Never give up. God will win the battle always. Hugs from the southeast coast of Florida 😎🦩🌞🦩😎

    Very Wise Words Ms. Corie!
I think we have all had Resentment toward the one’s who have rejected us & hurt us Deeply!
I know Personally Speaking I Have! But when you Reach out time After time to In My Case Very
Close Family & ask Forgiveness From those , but don’t get Foriveness , for things that you don’t know
Why they have such Bitterness & Rejection towards You !
When you Love ❤️ them & ask Forgiveness from Them &
From God, which I Know God Forgives, but are still Rejected, then it is Obvious they don’t want me in their
Lives, then I am done trying!to fix It! l Will always Love them & Cherish them Regardless , but I have to give them to
God, he is the only One that turn the Situation Around! And all I can do is ask God to not let me have
Resentment & Bitterness towards Them! In my Heart! When you have done all that yon Know ,God would have you to do, as the
Scripture say’s : Be Still & Know that I Am God! God Will Answer in his Time & in his Way! Until then just
Keep Love ❤️ in my Heart for them & Resentment out!! Thanks for Sharing Ms. Corie!
    Have A Blessed Day! ❤️🙏

I admittedly am 100% resentful right now. My boyfriend of 16 years has recently tossed me aside for a 17 year old high school student. She could literally be his child. I dedicated myself to him for all those years and he never even gave me the key to his house or considered marrying me. Then he dumps me and all of a sudden she’s already living in his house that he bought while we were together and it’s just 3 minutes away from where I’m living now. This is a small town and no matter where I go or no matter what time of day I go out, it never fails that I run into him and her and it devastates me every single time. I wasted the best years of my life with him only to be tossed aside. I have no interest in anyone else and my heart hasn’t been the same since. I imagine I’ll be spending the rest of my days alone and struggling to exist. You and your family have been my comfort for awhile now. I strive to be good and kind hearted folks like y’all. I just ordered earrings and rings from Katie with the hopes that some of her and your beautiful kind energy will stay attached to them and help me find some ease somehow. I just love you all. I really mean that too. Thank you for being such awesome happy beams of light in today’s world.💚🙏

What I love about you gals’ perspective is how you never dwell on human fault, but you always turn the focus back into how good God is. It’s not about cracking down on our own sin as much as it is about remembering who we are and why we want to live abundantly, and I so appreciate that.
Resentment is a hard one for me, but being married has really forced me to deal with it. My experience dealing with my own resentment basically lines right up with that you say in this video. So basically I’m just here in the comments to agree with you. Thanks for being such a light ❤️

Forgiveness is for us, not so much the other person. I found out that having bitterness/ resentment/ unforgiveness towards someone else is like me drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. The only one suffering is me. Forgiveness sets us free in our hearts and allows us to live in freedom and love. It’s something I’m also still working on but I always ask Jesus to come speak truth to my heart about a situation or person. It’s his truth that sets us free and his words give us life.
Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.
    Hebrews 12:15 NLT

Boy, did that hit me like a ton of bricks, I have been so resentful towards a few of my family members and my husband on some things that happened in the past and I have lived it all these years with that, and now I honestly feel like a Mac truck has been lifted off my shoulders and my chest, well my heart, since listening to all that you said in this video, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart I actually feel like God just came into my heart and said let it go and I believe that, you are a amazing person and I'm so glad that you are on here to talk to people around the world about things like this, I want to say God Bless you and your family and Thank You so much for sharing that with me I needed to here that so bad and I really feel good now. Thanks so much, I'm the lady that has talked with you and your sister before about some of my rocks I had found, and I'm the one that invited you two to come to where I live and we could go to the creeks and rivers around here and just have a girl's day out, I would really enjoy that so much. Resentment is often bound in other things such as jealousy, anger, an inflated sense of self worth, (or the opposite, coming to understand you aren’t as gifted / talented / clever / whatever that you thought you were) - a realization that you’ll never be as good as the other person at a particular task. It can be held towards those you don’t know (someone talking in a cinema that ruins the rare night out you have 😉) - those who you perceive to be better than you (and, you think, are *rubbing it in*) as much as genuinely being harmed by someone. And then finally, towards someone purely because you misread or misunderstood a situation or event.
Dealing with it by finding forgiveness has to be altruistic, not with a false piety - not by being ‘holier’ or doing / saying things to appear ‘good’ or sweet or kind.
To me, being easily offended or put out by others has a lot to do with ones own character than the person who supposedly offends, “how dare they do that / say this etc - why aren’t they putting *me* first”
To those who feel like that, I say - the world doesn’t revolve around you sweetheart. It is about self respect & acceptance. It is about understanding that your resentment is there because your ego is bruised, not because the other person thinks you are significant enough that they’ll go out of their way to offend you.
Clearly there are some that do aim to cause distress, particularly in broken relationships, but if you are repeatedly butt hurt, it’s you not them. If you are repeatedly butt hurt seek God’s help & forgiveness for your pride and arrogance. If you are intentionally harmed find a way to quietly forgive without shouting it out from the treetops.
Through the eye of a needle …
If you do something good for someone, family friend, stranger - don’t put it on show - it’s between you, the recipient and God.

Corie, what you had to say about resentment was so true, and I appreciated the reminder. It's something that even we Christians who are older in years or maturity can fall into if we're not careful. I didn't take time to comment when I was watching in the wee hours and I'm glad I didn't because it gives me the opportunity to add two things. First, I found it nteresting that my pastor started a series on The Sermon on the Mount this morning, and his topic today was about anger, particularly as it regards keeping the "letter of the law" and then using that as an excuse for anger & other sinful attitudes. Second, Joyce Meyer had a short 3 min YT message today entitled Exchanging Guilt for Mercy, which goes along with what you were saying about not beating ourselves up when we fall into resentment or whatever, but to ask God to enable us to deal with it and then move on. As Joyce points out, we need His mercy whether or not our guilt has any basis in fact.

You don't have to read or follow other teachers . To many false teachers out there . I enjoyed your message . I say this to you and Christian love you are young Corey and I used to be with the lady that you just talked about at the end of your message. Now I'm not here to put anybody down but many ministers have shown things to tell us some people are not really what you think they are. In these last days you must be very careful about who you follow or whose books you buy or who you put your trust in as far as God's word. I am a Bible teacher over 44 years almost 70 years old now and in love I want you to pray for discernment. Make sure when you share from your heart that you line it up with God's word in you scripture. This is just a suggestion this is no time to be deceived by false teachers. I don't even watch television anymore and I live in New York. I'm so excited about the Lord's return that I can't even watch TV I mostly just stick with my Bible and pray with my husband so that I can be sure to follow God and the way he leads me and we all are let a different way. God bless you I loved you sharing from your 💕 in my walk with the Lord if you have anything against your brother leave your gift at the altar and go make amends with your brother or sister whichever it is. And you're right when you do that whether they receive you or not at least you've done what you could to ask forgiveness. In my life I could never just let it go I had to go directly to the people it's not easy but it's so worth it because we want to be so pleasing to God and not man.🤟♥️🙏🏼♥️
