The band that made the Beatles look and sound like amateur school children with one of the hottest and most talented female singers of that era that was Linda Ronstadt. NOBODY in today's so-called music groups can even come close to having this kind of talent in their little finger! And though some have passed on, their music still rivals most of what is being produced today.

"Egos start getting in the way, therein lies the problem." Says Don Henley - the biggest ego of them all. And an "Eagles Family Tree Interview" conveniently left off the contributions of Randy Meisner. It's like he never existed instead of being a founding member that the aforementioned egos drove out.
Frey knew Henley was the most talented singer. He also knew Felder wasn't a good singer. He also knew some songs were better sung by Walsh or Meisner or Schmidt or himself. He knew what was best and he was correct. It's bullshit that he's been castigated for it. We love the Eagles for what Frey did then some idiots criticize him for it. It's stupid. And Henley is smart as hell. Probably smarter by himself than everyone in the band put together except Frey. And Henley is right. One of the dumbest things ever put to paper is that all men are created equal. They absolutely are not.
Exactly!. How many turkeys come on these sites and bang on about “they should’ve done this or that”, and at the same time say “their success was due to “ exactly that!!. Henley wrote Boys of Summer only hours after Mike Campbell handed him a track that Petty rejected. He changed the key and created a masterpiece only days later. This is what a genius this guy is and his vocal talent.. well thats other worldly if you ask me.
@@theelf152 Well said but the jealous vindictive Henley Haters will still disagree. They will never accept the immense talent that Henley and Frey had ( especially Henley )..

Randy was pretty much estranged from the Eagles. Some mental health issues. Legal issues with his wife’s death. Invited to reunite for 1994 Hell Freezes Over but, unable to perform to his old standard of excellence. Randy died of COPD on July 25th, 2023 at age 77
@@RT440Dodge But Randy wanted to come back for the tour before that and was turned down. He had health issues that his drug and alcohol issues exacerbated, but they didn't offer him the same helping hand that they offered Joe Walsh. Henley and Frey tossed him in the trash.
Henry and Frey always say their can’t be 4-5 leaders in the he band their can only be two Maximum but they were more like dictators. At least Lennon and McCartney gave George Harrison some songs On Each album. And the mystical place they are talking about is not California it’s being fucked up on drugs.
I like that it started with Frey admitting that none of the Eagles are from LA. Think about it: Don H - Linden, TX Glenn - Detroit, MI Bernie - Minneapolis, MN Randy - Scottsbluff, NE Don F - Gainsville, FL Joe - Witchita, KS Timothy - Oakland, CA Yet Frey used to start concerts in the '70s with "We're the Eagles from Los Angeles!" Literally none of you are from LA, Glenn.
I think he was talkin about the band, who was from L.A..! They met n started all the thing there at the Troubadour mythical place in LA so he was just introducing the band at each gigs thats all🙏
Yeah despite the fact none of the guys were from LA they formed in LA and played their early shows in LA making them essentially an LA based band who was able to capture the essence of 1970s California. I mean Look at Van Halen, the Van Halen brothers are from Holland originally but everyone thinks of VH as a California based band since that’s where they started, sort of like how most sports teams have guys from all over the place but they’re called the (insert city/teams name here) because they’re based out of said city.
During the 70s they all were technically from L.A. because that was where they lived. Eventually Bernie and Henley moved out of California in the 90s but I think Henley still has a home or homes in the Los Angeles area.
They wasted 10 to 14 years of there young years !!! Could have made so much more great music…. So sad that greed and jealousy got in there way !!! Can’t go back to make it up … I know they are still trying but just not the same ….. Sad 😢

I think that ‘Henley IS "The front Man”,
He is the Voice!
'He may be Satan, but he's OUR Satan'...
AWWWW MAN ! Is that the Eagles ??? 🦅

Wished I could have worked in a studio .

Not one mention of Randy Meisner. Not even in the flash of names towards the end. How Stalinesque. Try to erase him from history. Gutless.
Heartbreaking for Randy
Listen again: Meisner is mensioned in the first minute.

Take it Easy was Jackson Browne's creation also
Yeah!!!
Jackson wrote 90% of the song. Glenn added a line or two.
Deacon looks exactly like his father at this age
If Don Henley was not a brilliant musician he would probably a brilliant scientist.
Or Writer..
He is a writer.
@@kevinwalker2072 A book writer ?
Perfectionist
By far my favourite Eagle and favourite singer. This guy is not smart he is incredibly talented.
The original 4 line up was my favorite.
I agree!! Good memories
I find it saddening how they nonchalantly brush over Bernie and Randy's integral input as original members.
It’s Henley/Frey band
'Really proud to have lived long enough to be indicted...' '...this suspicious occasion...'
Love them
The background music makes it hard to hear what people are saying
Best make out music ever.
Love the Eagles, always have
Give me a break. Eagles better than the Beatles??? Put down the crack pipe and go to rehab!
@@alanwoitas5002, obviously you belong top the Beatles' pot club. Their "music" at best, compared to the Eagles was childish, immature and annoying.

Los mejores facinantes
"Egos start getting in the way, therein lies the problem." Says Don Henley - the biggest ego of them all. And an "Eagles Family Tree Interview" conveniently left off the contributions of Randy Meisner. It's like he never existed instead of being a founding member that the aforementioned egos drove out.
Yea, everyone knows Don Henley was the voice of the eagles
Did Joe ever put that song he sung on a record?
Joe Walsh’s “Help Me Through The Night” was on the Hell Freezes Over DVD but, didn’t make it on the record.
What song is playing at 2:49?

Does someone maybe know where can I watch the 1994 mtv special? It was on youtube for a while but it got deleted a few days ago :((

you’re forced to play Second Fiddle to a Orchestra.
They never mentioned Randy. Nothing against Timothy , but he cant sing like Randy.

Where is Randy Meissner?
Randy was pretty much estranged from the Eagles. Some mental health issues. Legal issues with his wife’s death. Invited to reunite for 1994 Hell Freezes Over but, unable to perform to his old standard of excellence. Randy died of COPD on July 25th, 2023 at age 77
@@RT440Dodge But Randy wanted to come back for the tour before that and was turned down. He had health issues that his drug and alcohol issues exacerbated, but they didn't offer him the same helping hand that they offered Joe Walsh. Henley and Frey tossed him in the trash.
Henry and Frey always say their can’t be 4-5 leaders in the he band their can only be two
Maximum but they were more like dictators. At least Lennon and McCartney gave George Harrison some songs On Each album. And the mystical place they are talking about is not California it’s being fucked up on drugs.
You mean Henley and Frey!!
Oh I thought they broke up because of money not because they wanted to sing a song.
I like that it started with Frey admitting that none of the Eagles are from LA.
Think about it:
Don H - Linden, TX
Glenn - Detroit, MI
Bernie - Minneapolis, MN
Randy - Scottsbluff, NE
Don F - Gainsville, FL
Joe - Witchita, KS
Timothy - Oakland, CA
Yet Frey used to start concerts in the '70s with "We're the Eagles from Los Angeles!"
Literally none of you are from LA, Glenn.
yeah but the Eagles were from LA, it's where they met, it's the truth, from a certain point of view
Glenn is From Royal Oaks, MI and Timothy is from Sacramento, CA. Which is definitely NOT Oakland, Ca.
Don talks so slow lol
They wasted 10 to 14 years of there young years !!! Could have made so much more great music…. So sad that greed and jealousy got in there way !!! Can’t go back to make it up … I know they are still trying but just not the same ….. Sad 😢
the girl from yesterday was horrible...don writing a song and glenn making a small change to get song writing cred is hilarious...don henley was the eagles
now it s the devil land
Did they finally accept Jesus? Who converted first?
