Prices this year r crazy even on the native rez here in washington. Then again it was nearly 120F 3 days ago.
Last year I went to Vegas and went to a wholesaler. For 500 dollars I got 10 500gram cakes 16 200 gram and 5 alien 24pk 2inch canisters

I just did $150 and had a bunch of Roman candles and little $10-15 cakes and found a 6 pack of canister shells for 25 and they were great to add in at a decent price. It was enough for my little 2 person show and the kiddos next door loved them.

The firework superstore in Hannibal Missouri has very good prices. If you live in nearby states it’s defiantly one of your best options. Your looking at classic cakes like hit the road jack for about 23$

You are lucky to be close to so many discount firework stores. Here in Southern Missouri even the massive warehouse stores rip you off, and the mom and pop tents are even worse. Closest place with those types of prices is 3 hours away.

I love watching Cody’s videos. I recently got into fireworks hardcore since it was only a few years ago Pennsylvania changed their laws. I shot a few cakes last year but not gonna lie I’m very nervous this year me and my friend bought almost triple amount and more variety since last year. I don’t have a lot of people close to me but a bit of trees behind my house so hoping all goes well.

Definitely before. In a lot of cases, the prices tend to go up the closer you get to the 4th. Also, in some cases, the inventory of stores tends to dissipate more rapidly the closer you get to the 4th. Bigger chain stores such as Phantom don't generally have that problem, though, and keep a good stock right up to the day of. I get mailers with coupons for Phantom, and can get some really great deals. I love seeing what my savings is on the receipt when I'm done! On my last trip, I saved well over $600. Yes, I know there's a steep markup at Phantom, but it's my preference to believe I am getting a good deal.

I totally disagree with the idea that you shouldn't buy can's unless you have a $400-$500 budget. Most people who light fireworks are lighting them one at a time, throughout the entire night. You can buy a couple boxes of canister shells, and have 48 cans , and light 2 or 3 at a time. You can buy a few cakes, rockets, fountains, and still have a great time. The problem with buying cakes, is, they're expensive for a single piece. If you want to have fun all night, think about it more along the lines of price per piece. If you buy two $50 cakes, that's 2 fireworks, you light them both and you're done. At least with canister shells you're getting 24 cans in the box.
@@derekharvey3174 When I was a kid my family knew some firework makers and we used to get 3 and 4 inch mortars, kits, quarter sticks, half sticks etc. All we ever did was go into the garage, find something cool, pull it out and light it. We had enough fireworks to do that all night. I still do that now, except I only have consumer fireworks.
Random question, but do you, or anyone else know, how long the Phantom 225 Missile Base 200gr cake last time-wise? I am trying to use it as a base for my finale this year and can’t find any info on how long it actually lasts. I already attempted to contact Phantom, as well as search youtube, but without success. Seen "loud and proud" on the shelf top tier 500g cake right there. Great set for a finale. Sadly where I'm at (TX) sells for $90 compared to that $39. That price is the lowest I can find at the warehouses.

If you are ever in the area of Princeton Wisconsin look up Discount Firework Store it will pop up you can get tons of stuff there and some of the stuff you get for 100+ is 80 to 95 bucks there pretty insane but they dont throw free in cause how cheap it all is bigg 500 gram cakes for 25 bucks
