    • @mariecass1983

      No that umpire needs to be caged. Serena has every right to be angry. The crowd was angry with the umpire not Osaka. She's innocent in all of this as Serena pointed out.

    • @blackmanwhitesuit
      @blackmanwhitesuit 6 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Flora, that's the attitude you can't have. Just because you're angry and because Serena is angry, Osaka ends up being caught in the crossfire. Even if you don't mean it, Naomi is the one suffering the most and that's what people have to understand: you made a 20 year old champion cry on the podium because you felt it was more important to boo the umpire than cheer for her.

      But I know for a fact that if she wasn’t so successful she’d be just another foreigner to them.
      Even if she lived in Japan her whole life and only spoke Japanese, at most she’d be considered “half”, or just a foreigner to many.

That is a violation of the rules. Then she berated the dude, calling him a liar, cheat, thief and that is a violation of the rules. I think he was too harsh but he was within the rules to do so and it was fair then.Serena was never in control of the match. Naomi was the stronger player from start to finish. Serena was uncomfortable being matched and it drove her to emotion and she cracked and the crowd blinded by love for her booed the consequences of her actions even though they were her fault. They didn't care that they were shitting on a person who won fair and square and encouraging a poor looser. Hence the booing during the trophy ceremony. The crowd was classless and clueless.

    Naomi Osaka didn't have any cause to apologize. Despite being younger and less experienced she made up for it with hell of a match and was booed by the unsportsmanlike crowd. She deserved this win and sadly the crowd did their best to ruin her moment.

    • @bburg0408
      @bburg0408 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +Alan Samuel The crowd wasn't booing her; they were booing the officials. That's why they booed when the officials spoke but not when Naomi spoke.

      bburg0408 I mean booing at a champion crying and saying sorry... booing at the results is bad enough.

    • @bburg0408
      @bburg0408 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Paulo Romero You really need to watch the video again more carefully. They most definitely were not booing her or the result.

    • @bburg0408
      @bburg0408 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ghost Tannous Naomi said she was confused as she didn't know if the crowd was booing her or not. But she said Serena told her they weren't, so she felt better. So it's not a fact that they were booing Naomi because even SHE didn't really know herself. You saying the crowd didn't boo Naomi because Serena told them not to is conjecture.

    One player apologized even if she won the game, while the other player demanded apology even if she violated the rule. One player expressed her gratitude even when all the crowd were booing, while the other player put the blame on others even when she herself was to blame. One player kept focussing on the game, while the other player showed her back and resorted to the politics. How come these two players are so different?

      How can someone not fall in love with this sweet super-player Naomi Osaka? She was always discrete, quiet, feminine and also scared of her first appearance at this level. As Naomi said, "everybody was cheering for Serena..." When Naomi speaks, her words are kind, innocent and naïve. My UTMOST respect to you NAOMI for being so sweet and for being such a magnificent player ! We want to continue watching you breaking records all over the world, Sweetie!

    She just accomplished her dream, which was no small dream. . . . And Serena and the crowd crapped all over it. What a shame.
