Thrifting, family time, in the kitchen, decorating, room tours, out with your chickens, or whatever........I just love you, your family, and your channel. You are so open and down-to-earth, a breath of fresh air in this messed-up world we share. Please just keep on doing what you do and I will keep on watching everything you put out into the youtube universe. Have a great weekend and I can't wait until the next video is up and running.

Remember on the stockings that you can always have the front of them matching and then do the back in a complimentary color. I have done this and it works. Use a flat flannel sheet or tablecloth for extra savings.

That bread box was gorgeous! My mom had one and converted it into storage for bathroom by hanging it on the wall. Then attached a pull string with beautiful ceramic pull. It resembled a old fashioned water closet ! My mom loved to craft, and vintage shop! Miss those times!

Pretty sure that bread box with the geese on it was covered inside and out with roach poo! I was yelling "No girl! Don't touch that!" Yeesh! Anyway, that Le Creuset jug was a steal!

I would love to find one of those hampers you showed us. I would buy it in a heart beat. I have to take my laundry to the garage at the other end of the house. I'm a little disabled, it would be perfect for me. I would put mine in a closet so the dog couldn't get in it. My daughter had her wedding dress preserved in a box. You would thank it's gold the way she protects that thing. Right now its in storage in TX. She moved last year and it got left in storage. She's dying to go back and pick it up. She had moved a bunch of times and has hauled the dress everywhere.
I use to make all kinds of jellies in the day. There's nothing in comparison to homemade jellies, yum.
I love you and love your VLOGS. Have a great weekend. See you next video.

Hi Julie! The remote fits perfectly in that brass dish. I have my wedding dress preserved in a box (35 years this month!). My husband actually took it to have it preserved after our wedding. He knew how important it was to me. We have 2 boys so maybe if we have granddaughters one of them will wear it. :)

I have heated the jars in the oven, put lids, rings, and seals in a pot of water and let it boil. Of course your ingredients is hot.
Lay down a towel, fell the jars, put lids, and and ring on it, then wrap another towel around it, and listen to the popping!

That little brass piece is a wine holder; you put the wine in it to prevent the bottle from leaving a ring on your table. But it’s perfect for what you’re using it for. Good thinking outside the box.

I loved this kitchen segment. I’m diabetic and will certainly try anything that cuts back on sugar. I will substitute the sugar with swerve which is much more costly but diet friendly when you trying to eliminate added sugars.

  • @darlenericker2448
    @darlenericker2448 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I live in Canada and I use a powder that we have and it uses less than half the amount of sugar. Have used it for years for strawberry and any other fruits. It tastes more like fruit than all that sugar. Have used it probably for 25 years. Never use the other kind at all, you are correct way two much sugar, and we don’t need it either, but like to make jam and it is freezer jam so no boiling just put in containers and freeze or in frig and eat within a few weeks.

Julie! Hello there! It’s Debbie again 😄 I personally love your videos. But I’m not sure you should do “just” a kitchen video all by itself..here’s what Debbie says! I love it Julie when you surprise us sith something to look forward to, no matter what it is…at the end of a video. People love surprises! ❤️
Now with that being said…I have super enjoyed going into the kitchen with you. You make everything so interesting! And I cannot believe you got all of that Apple juice from what normally would be thrown away!😳You go Julie 🎉❣️❣️❣️
If you do decide to do another channel…just remember this. Make sure that God and your children come first at all times and He will bless you tremendously! I love your videos. And you impress me how you juggle everything around and still take care of your family. But the most sweetest thing I admire you for is that little desk you have. And how you start off your days by spending time with the Lord first. That’s the best example you are teaching others, Julie 🥰
Now…can you please tell me about that cool looking diffuser you have? Hugs and kisses, Debbie 😁

I love the thrifting you take us along on..I love getting to see different stuff..got a quick tip for you, or you may already know this..them wood bread boxes you have been seeing while thrifting, they make beautiful roll top desk for younger kids..get you some screw on legs and mount them on a piece of plywood, then mount the bread box on it..get a small chair that sits high enough for them to sit at the desk..when they are done coloring or crafting, they can close the little door n all of there goodies are stashed away..paint the bread box n legs n make it all pretty for the child recieving it..they make wonderful little desk...I love getting to see n watch you in your kitchen..the jelly looks divine..it would be nice with a fresh mini loaf of bread n homemade butter n put it in smaller gift baskets for Christmas..I used to make food gift baskets for people every holiday season at Christmas..i done different theme food baskets too..i had a ball doing them...and the people that was the recipients ....was so excited to get them..they would fight over them..not really fight in a mean way..lol..we made fire starter baskets..we picked up pine cone n dipped them in old candle wax .we would melt the wax that was always left in a candle, and pour the same scents together, and some times we would add paraffin wax to the scented wax..dip the pine cones in the wax 2 to 3 times each, allowing them to dry between each coat..put a box of long matches in it..we would split kindling..(lightered). And tie up little bunches of that..put small little thumb size sticks in there..some big beautiful dried leaves, and then we cut up 50cent size logs about 12 inches long in there..put it in a shrink wrap basket with the shrink wrap bag on it n tie the top up some some nature items. Can you tell that my family loves to make gift baskets...lol..I love your whole video..I thank you for sharing..hope yall have a great weekend..

Hi Julie. Enjoyed the thrifting g segment as well as the jelly making segment. I’ve made several types of jellies in my lifetime but never apple. Have you ever made corn cob jelly? I have and it is delicious. You actually bowl the cobs after your cut the corn off the cobs and boil the cobs. Not sure if folks in Texas put up corn for creamed corn to freeze. We do in South Georgia. You can find the recipe online. Just thought I would share.

Thanks for making the jelly with us. I'm so glad you showed us jelly without all that sugar.. I'm thinking my mom cut back on sugar by one or two cups because we didn't have a lot of money. I think James and jellies ARE too sweet plus me and my family are all diebetics.

Julie , the reason the first is clearer is because the heavier residue of the juice settled to the bottom …the first you dipped would be clearer because of this …😊

I love your videos! I like how you use all parts of food to make other things with it like the peels and cores, I would love to know how you cooked it down to make the juice.

Thank you so much 😊 I just covered it all with water and brought to a boil then let us boil on medium heat for about a hour. So easy!

The brass dish is a wine bottle rest. Used so that drips don't get on the table cloth.
