Finally someone explains roof angles. I never understood how to do roofs so they never looked right. Thank you so much.

BRILLIANT! Just what I needed. Now if I could only slow it down to see exactly where/how you are coming up with these roof vanishing points. Thank you!

Thanks. We were all beginners once. And in many things I still am. Keep at it!😀

I cannot thank you enough! I've been struggling so much with roofs in perspective and this is a lifesaver. 😃

Hi Stephen, thanks for the tutorial! It was very helpful. Would you consider making a tutorial on how to find the center of a rectangle/square in 1, 2, and 3 point perspective as it would relate to drawing houses with different roof types and buildings?

No need for a video, it’s as simple as the crossing point of the two diagonals. Have fun with it. 😀

Hope it makes more sense the second time for you. Sometimes concepts need a second time. 😀

Great tutorial! This is something I've always wondered but could never find a clear explanation for. Instantly subscribed, thanks :)
Would you ever consider doing a tutorial on less traditional buildings in perspective? Almost alien-like structures and stuff!

Great to hear Heimruth. That’s not really something I have experience in - I love sci-fi but I’ve never tried to draw it. But maybe. Stay tuned. 😀

Did I not include that? In effect it’s just a rectangle that sits on top of the building outline but a little bit wider in all directions 😀

I think this tutorial needed color markers, hard to follow all the lines.
